You all know the story of Rapunzel, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later...
Princess Lilian’s wedding is mere days away, and I’m dreading the moment she says “I do” to the duke of Thornton. Once she becomes his wife, I’ll be thrown out of the palace grounds and lose any hope I might have had of making her mine. With my once-majestic gardens a wasteland and my beloved queen stricken with a mysterious illness, my ties to the palace are slipping away one by one. But with the help of my mentor and Lilian herself, I just might have what it takes to grow something new in Floris.
Born in Leeds, I lived a very normal life until I got bored one day and decided to travel the world. Since then I've worked on a Banana Plantation, cleaned ACDC's dressing room and been a professional clown. I climbed to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and the top of Kilimanjaro. Nowadays you'll find me being a climbing frame for my two young children, working in a school, and renovating my home. Did I also mention I wrote some books? I hope you enjoy them! God of loyalty is the final book in the Rapunzel arc by J.A. Armitage and Emma Savant.
Its really a great continuation of this story. Lillian and the duke wedding is almost there and Deon really not looking foward to it. And the kingdom still need to figure out how to stop the blight.
I have received an arc of this book from the author.
I'm enjoying this series greatly. I did notice a discrepancy in that they forgot the other princess Deon has met that also has golden ringed eyes, Princess Kelis
Sweet and endearing like the whole series, I did not expect any less of this final book in this miniseries. The Royal wedding is approaching fast, and Deon is losing hope equally fast. Not even mentioning Lilian, who is about to marry a person she absolutely hates, her parents keep away from the public trying to find a cure for the queen, and the blight poisoning the whole country does not seem to diminish. Yet when Hedley discovers a game-changing fact about the Duke of Thornton, hope rises again. Seeing Deon come back to his usual calm, caring, devoted self was truly pleasurable, as much as seeing smile return on Lilian's face. Some secrets became uncovered, some remain hidden for further journey. Although Deon's magic hasn't manifested the way it did for the previous protagonists, his potential has shown and he might be a nice balancing element in the group of golden-eyed royalties searching for answers.
This book is really hard to review without giving spoilers! Although not everything was resolved, it was a very satisfying ending. A bit of humor, a lot of romance, and some wonderful family moments.
As the group of golden eyed adoptees grows, their ideas about what might be going on are expanding as well. More hints of the overarching plot drawing them together come out in this book.
This is the final book in the Rapunzel arc, but far from the end of the story - next up is Rumpelstiltskin.
And so it ends. I’ve been avidly following along the “after the HEA” tale of Rapunzel’s son, Deon, in J. A. Armitage and Emma Savant’s Kingdom of Fairytales: Rapunzel series and all I can say is that no matter how daunting the odds were, Deon Pulls through in a concluding installment, God of Loyalty (Book 4), that’s superbly written and wonderfully satisfying. Also totally fun - and totally easy to highly recommend.
What a great end for this beautiful story - even though it's not the end of course! The end of this 4 books story was beautiful and I even shed a little happy tear! Beautifully written, with so much romance! I don't even care that much about romance but this one was too cute! I can't wait to read more and more and more! Let's go!
This one is my favorite of this series! All readers can tell how this is ultimately going to end but the twist to get us there wasn’t what I was expecting! I can’t wait to see who we meet in the next 4 books!!
I liked the book, but the rapunzel series lacked something for me to enjoy it the most. The ending of this book was different from the previous series. I would have liked it more if it had a bit more options for this kingdom.
Great story . If you love the Rapunzel tale then you will love the continuation of the tale. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a good book.
