Anciently, a prophet named Gad the Seer, who was one of the court prophets of king David and Solomon, was said to have a book of Scripture. "Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written... in the book of Gad the seer..." (1 Chronicles 29:29) But for over two thousand years, the book was seemingly lost in obscurity. That was until the book was found preserved among the Jews of Cochin, India. This rare treasure has now been translated into English from this recently discovered Hebrew text. We have provided full Biblical cross-references for a closer, more valuable study of the book itself alongside an original translation of the text, complete with translation notes.
