I was provided an ARC by the author to provide my honest review. Pride by Willow Aster releases everywhere on May 28th.
Saying goodbye to her feels like saying goodbye to light. To hope. To a future. The end of life as I've always known it.
Pride is the final book in the Kingdom of Sins series, and this entire series has been so amazing. I'm sad to see it go, but I was excited to find out how everything played out in the end.
I've been curious about Jadon since the beginning. He was so mysterious, and kind of seemed like a loner throughout the series, always keeping to himself, unless he was needed to stand up for his family. I was excited to see how he found love and how all of the mysteries that have been flowing throughout the books came to a conclusion.
Out of the flames, the diamond is born. Out of the ashes, fear is buried and life rises up.
I loved Delilah. She was misunderstood. The only thing she ever wanted was to be accepted by her father and to be treated like an equal. She was fierce, and she told people exactly what she thought about everything. She wasn't ever afraid to speak her mind, and I loved that about her.
I loved how this series was packed full of steamy romance, but also some mystery. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. I had a hard time trusting anyone in the whole series, and I think that's part of what made it so fantastic. Willow really did a fantastic job with these books. She kept me intrigued from the beginning, and I never lost interest.
God, I love her. She is my every heartbeat.
Jadon and Delilah were perfect for each other. Their personalities really balanced each other out, and I found myself rooting for them from the start. They had so much stacked against them, but they found a way to still be there for each other in any way that they could.
Overall, I'm giving this one 5 STARS. As usual, Willow really delivered with the final installment of this series. I'm so sad it's over, but she's gained a fan in me for life. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
