Wylder Bluffs Mountain Men Book 2 is an insta-love, happily-ever-after, short and STEAMY romance. No cliffhangers, no cheating. This is a standalone story part of the Wylder Bluffs MOUNTAIN MEN series.
Hi! I’m a mama of four living my dream writing romance out in the country with the love of my life! I’m a busy bee like you, so writing & reading short romance is my jam. I hope each of my stories makes you smile, makes you sigh, makes you...swoon. ;) Most of all I hope you reach “The End” feeling ever-inspired and optimistic. With me, it’s always safe, steamy & sweet, with happily-ever-afters guaranteed!
This is Asher and Ariel's story and there is a guest appearance of Steele and Elsa. It is another short story, quite enjoyable to read. I think Asher and Ariel is my favorite couple from the Wylder Bluff Mountain Men series.
Ariel isn't going to let her twin Elsa have the insta/fairy tale romance to herself. After crashing a wedding after hers was a not meant to be, she takes pictures of the sexy mountain of a man in all black.
Asher sees through her and knows she's not supposed to be there. Can't fight their instant attraction, they run off together. We find out Asher is a wild man in bed until he discovers a secret about his princess and becomes the man that she needs at that moment.
If course a baby has to cut into all the fun but we get to see Asher as a man of his word and in two years he makes his princess, his queen and we get to welcome a new addition.
This one gives us a further look into Steele and Elsa along the same time as we learn all about Ari and Asher who take one night and never let it go. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.
I had a great time read Asher and Ariel’s storyline. Asher is taking pictures at a wedding when he sees Ariel and instantly falls for her. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is amazing. The storyline flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.

Asher: Mountain Man Curvy Woman is the second book in Tarin Lex’s series, Wylder Bluffs Mountain Men. In it we meet two dynamic characters—Ariel Dean and Asher Kostas. Ariel (Ari) is the twin sister of Elsa. Ari is visiting Elsa who is just about to give birth. Elsa talks Ari into going out for the evening. Reluctantly, Ari agrees. She stumbles on to a wedding reception and crashes it. Meanwhile, Asher, a local photographer is taking pictures mingling about, and snapping candid shots of guests. He scans the room capturing precious moments of all guests. Purposely, he focuses on the quiet guests, the ones who seldom are in the limelight. That is when he catches her. Across the room, wearing a bright floral print dress and black laced combat boots, is a beauty. As he takes her picture, she is taking his. Instantly, he knows. She is underdressed—a blend of feminine and punk-rock grunge. At that moment realization hits her, she has been caught! He glances up and is drawn to her doe-like eyes. Voila! It hits them a current of electric attraction. Instantly, he knows he must meet her. He starts toward her, she smiles, and vanishes. He cannot let her go. He must get to her and make her his. What happens to them? Will she escape? Will she make it back to help Elsa give birth?
I enjoyed reading this sweet romance short story. In this book we get to learn more about the members of the Wylder Bluff community. Ms. Lex does a remarkable job with her characters. She allows us to see their strengths and weaknesses. I really love her writing style. It is very succinct while providing sharp images with descriptive language. For example, when Asher is lost in his internal dialog while reminiscing about his father, “memories are just snap shots to be locked away in drawers.” Readers can not help but ponder if this infers he has secrets. Another instance that stood out is when Ari reflects “his voice is deep, but smooth, like dark, dark satin.” When Steele, her brother-in-law, retrieves her to be with Elsa, Ari glances at Asher. He is on his motorcycle looking at her with a look that says, “where you go, I go.” Ms. Lex brings her character-driven full circle and in doing so penned a delightful, sweet romance.
I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed in Asher. I really enjoyed Tarin's previous book, but this second instalment left me lacking.
The Pros
This book was a crazy instalove. Following on from the previous book, the second sister finds love at a wedding. Hours later, they're in the sack and have confessed their love for each other. Literally hours...
So if you want quick, it's there.
The Cons
I will start with this. The formatting was really strange in this book and I'm not sure if that was Tarin's intention, but either way, it left me very distracted from the story.
The book was incredibly disjointed which lead to it feeling a bit unbelievable. Why did Ariel need to a virgin? It's plausible but just felt like Tarin wanted to throw something else into the mix. The storyline feels as if it was thrown together and I felt like I was reading a point-for-point summary of what the story should be.
Was this really a Mountain Man book? Yes, Asher lived in the mountains, but he wasn't a Mountain Man, at least not the one we'd expect after reading Steele.
Also was this story about Ariel and Asher, I felt like this was so much of Elsa and Steele's story in here that it wasn't a standalone book.
Overall it was a quick read. Would I recommend it? No. But, if you have the read first book, it's a nice filler and hopefully book three will be better.

This book is amazing! The story of Asher and Ariel is hot and steamy and full of love! Ariel is in town to visit her twin sister Elsa while they await the birth of Elsa's daughter. Frustrated that the baby seems to be in no hurry to be born, Elsa finally tells Ariel to go out and have some fun. When Elsa met her husband, Steele, they were in the area for Ariel's wedding to James, but Elsa got stranded and Ariel got cold feet and didn't go through with it. Now she's out and about and crashing a wedding. And that's where she sees him. Asher is taking the wedding photos and he is drawn to Ariel the moment he sees her. He has to chase after her a bit but soon he catches up to her, they have a dance together, and he gets her to go home with him. Once there, the two are in each other's arms and having a passionate night together. Meanwhile, Elsa is going into labor and Ariel isn't back yet. Steele drops her off at the birthing center and heads out to look for Ariel. He finds her at Asher's place and they all head to the birthing center just in time for Leia's birth. Being around little Leia have made Asher and Ariel want a baby of their own and two years later, their daughter Ambrosia is born.

Taking pictures of each other but only one is the professional photographer
Asher is the first book I have read by Tarin Lex so I was not sure what to expect but the one sentence book description intrigued me. This story left me in two minds. I thought it was a steamy, fun, entertaining story with some interesting characters. But I found the story jumped around and was "cut-off" in some areas which was frustrating at times because I thought I was missing parts of the book. It just did not flow as smoothly as it could have if the transition areas had been written less choppily. I am not sure if this had to do with the author trying to keep to the short story length or if it is the author's writing style. But short stories are harder to write than full length novels as the writer has to condense a story and characters down to their essence while still maintaining a good story. So reading a short story gives me a good idea of how well an author is able to tell a story. Overall I thought this was an okay book but just thought it was not the best it could be. From my POV it could have used some areas expanded which would have made the story a much better reading experience. I am still going to read the next in this series, Hale, as I always like to give a "new to me" author a couple stories before making up my mind fully.
Asher is a photographer he loves it especially when he’s at weddings taking photos of the people when they don’t expect it and when he catches the bride and groom looking into each other’s eyes showing the love that they have with each other. Asher was looking through his lens taking pictures when he catches a girl taking photos of him they both look at each other and she gives him a smile then she takes off into the crowd and Asher is determined to find her. Ariel is in town to help look after her twin sister who’s two weeks overdue and she’s as grumpy as hell so she tells Ariel to go out and have some fun so Ariel crashes a wedding and the first thing she see’s when she walks through the door is this gorgeous photographer all dressed in black. That’s all I’m going to give you guys it’s a short story but a fantastic one and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
I recieved this book for Free to Give My True & Honest Review.
This is my first book by Tarin Lex.
Here we have Photographer Asher taking the wedding pictures at this Wedding & Ariel *Ari* whose been staying at her very over due Twin Elsa. But the night of this wedding Elsa tells Ari to go out & relax & it's the Wedding I'm not sure if it's that of her ex whom she left at the Altar. But its when they both clashes their eyes at each other they knew they'd found their Other Half. And it was after their first dance that their lives changes for ever more. So I wasn't too sure whose Wedding Ari Wedding Crashed or How Steele Knew exactly where Ari & Asher were??? Still a lovely hot love story 💞💞💞
I really, really enjoyed this book. It’s enhanced if you have read Steele, but it also makes a good standalone. All the details you need to understand are included without making it boring or tedious if you did read Steele. Ari and Asher are so cute together. I would have loved to see Elsa’s reaction to her sister finding a man, as she goes into labor. I’m betting she would be torn between being happy and finding the timing hilarious. I will definitely be reading this again in the future.

This is the second in the Wylder Bluff Mountain Men series. And although it exceeded my expectations based on the first book in the series, I still felt like it needed a little something. The characters were nicely written and the plot seemed to have more thought than its predecessor. But I still left the end of the book feeling like it needed a little extra something. I look forward to seeing how Tarin Lex continues to develop as an author. If you are looking for a short, super steamy read, this author should definitely be at the top of your list.

Fast forward two years for Elsa and Steele. She's about t have their baby, and her twin sister, Ariel, is there for support. But the baby is late, and Ariel has cabin fever. At Elsa's urging, she goes out one night, and crashes a wedding, where she meets Asher, the photographer. He's taking a picture of her taking a picture of him. This is a fun book, over-the-top steamy. It's immediate attraction for both of them, and he knows right away that she's it for him. Looking forward to the next in this entertaining series.

This is Ariel's story who was introduced in the first book, "Steele", of the Wylder Bluffs Mountain Men. Ariel's twin sister, Elsa, is pregnant and waiting on the birth of her first child. When Ariel knows that Elsa will not go into labor, Ariel ventures out to a neighboring town and crashes a wedding with her camera. Asher is the photographer at the wedding when he sees Ariel and he knows she is the one. This is a short and fast read that has Ariel and Asher knowing that they have waited to find each other at this very moment. Loved the tenderness of Asher and how he shows his love for Ariel.
3.5 Stars First things first; I like the cover of this book! Asher is book two in the ‘’Wylder bluffs mountain men’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

They dance and leave together, not willing to break their strong connection before it has been fully explored. Can he convince her that they are meant to be together for more than one night? And that she is the only woman for him?
This story is entertaining, short, and sweet, but a fun distraction to your day. Grab your copy and enjoy!

This was another winner by Tarin Lex. Asher is book 2 in the Wylder Bluffs Mountain Men Series. Asher and Aria were drawn to each other the moment they laid eyes on each other. Asher never expected to see his soul mate through the lens of his camera when he is hired as a wedding photographer. Aria wasn't even supposed to be at the wedding. She just needed a break from taking care of her twin while she prepares for birth. It was great getting more of Elsa and Steele too as they wait for their daughter to come. If you enjoy sweet and sexy romance this is definitely for you!
This was a short and steamy over the top standalone insta love romance....even though i found it to be too short i really enjoyed this half hour read. This is a story about a wedding photographer and wedding crasher....when Asher catches Ariel taking a photo of him through the lens off his camera its instant attraction.....he knows that she is his and he isnt letting her get away ....

4.5 stars ... Asher and Ari spot each other during a wedding reception. He’s the photographer and she taking pictures of him and to forget. It’s hard to make a new start without facing demons. Meanwhile, Elsa, her twin, is due with her first baby. Love it because as she is falling in love her sister and husband Steele makes a cameo in the story. A while adventure that is short and full of hard labor.

This is a quick little story about instant attraction, between Asher a photographer and Ari, an amateur photographer who meet at a wedding. They visit, they dance and they leave together. They are attracted to each other. They feel a connection. It is sexy hot. Can you fall in love in one night? Sweet with a touch of crazy. Love this series.

A story for Ariel and Asher. Ariel is the curvy, young - wedding crasher? Asher is the older, hot wedding photographer. They spot each other through their viewfinders and he has to know her. A little bit of over the top insta love fits right in here. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read another book by Ms. Lex.

Not really a mountain man story. Asher sees a girl at a wedding reception he's taking photos at and instantly feels a connection. Ariel is in town to help her twin sister, Elsa give birth. Not going into labor, Elsa tells her to go out and explore the town. Ari finds the wedding reception and is drawn in. Love the ending!!
3 1/2 stars. This is a really short read and a good one. There is no real time for any complexities or depth. So it all feels surface. Which is how such short stories go. I enjoyed the read, and if you're looking for something short and sweet I recommend this book.

With one click of his camera Asher gets the most beautiful woman taking his picture. Ari can't believe the handsome dark man across the ballroom. He calls to her deep down and when he approaches her she knows they were meant to meet.
