Traveling alone on his spaceship, Larson doesn’t expect to have to rescue a beautiful pilot out of the sky. Unbeknownst to him, Tawni is the princess of the wealthy planet Onepus.
Generous-hearted Tawni has been running supplies to Semerde—a micorplanet full of orphans and desperate for resources and caretakers—when her cruiser breaks down. Unbeknownst to her, that's where Larson grew up and where he swore he'd never go back to.
Larson agrees to drop her on the nearest planet, but on their way, they meet the Rysons, a sweet family having problems with their ship. Meanwhile, Tawni and Larson secretly struggle over their growing attraction for each other.
When Larson and Tawni discover the truth behind their identities, will they be able to overcome their differences and let their love blossom? What will happen to Semerde?

Quest for Onepus is a light, pleasant story about two people whose paths cross in the middle of space. The plot is simple and moves quickly, which made it an easy book to get through. It just moved a little too quickly for me. I've never been able to relate when characters fall in "love" in a short period of time, so it's hard for me to connect with a story that has that as its central theme. I did enjoy some of the characters and the sci-fi elements, though. Annia was adorable!
I've had this on my list for a long time now but really had no idea what to expect when I opened it. And--I loved it! <3 Tawni and Larson were both adorably sweet, even if they did butt heads, and even if Larson specifically worked hard to keep his walls up for a while. Also, the Ryson family...yeah, I loved them too. <3 The story unfolded so gently and beautifully all the way through, and I really appreciated the natural way that things progressed, rather than drama for the sake of drama. Also liked that the romance was kept a lot more low-key than it could have been--and what noticing/etc. there was was brilliantly done through the characters' individual voices. ("His beautif--er, totally normal lips"... XD) I was surprised to see how much of a gap is left between this book and the next one (I was really hoping maybe we'd get more of Tawni's brothers--yep, also loved them :D), but I'm definitely looking forward to continuing the series!
Content--some noticing and admiring (not descriptive); a girl accidentally walks in on a guy without his shirt on and is embarrassed over it (this is also mentioned in her thoughts later); a few kisses (not descriptive); a guy and girl develop feelings for each other while she is in an arranged engagement, and she mentally compares him to her fiance ; mentions of dangerous accidents in space; a girl is initially afraid to be rescued by a man alone; a girl travels alone without telling her family and tries to avoid her mother's questions about it
I'm always looking for new sci-fi that is good. This one was okay, but there were a few things that kept me from loving it. ~ I personally don't like present-tense stories (written as if it's happening now) ~ This was more romance then sci-fi ~ There was a small faith element that went nowhere
I'm not a fan of science fiction and I am so glad I got a hold of this book!
The cover and the title were really what attracted me towards this book, even though I later read the description and realised it was science fiction - a genre I consciously avoid. I got the book some time ago, to read when I can. When I got the chance, I opened it on my Kindle and began to read.
I liked how the story began - slow and smooth. The fact that the book began in a spaceship was very unique. And get this: it is mostly set in it, too! And the fact that the entire story happened without an ounce of forcefulness to it in any way, and the fact that the characters were all so unique and different from what I had been expecting rooted me to the spot. I couldn't wait for the story to end and know how it all ended... but I did wait to find out myself.
Natasja Eby did a great job thinking up such a unique plot! It was so well-written and well-edited, too! Not one mistake did I find that distracted me! Maybe there were some and I didn't spot them, I don't know, but I was hooked till the end! It was like reading a fantasy with science as the basis rather than magic!
All five stars from me! I'd recommend this to anybody looking for a fresh new take on the romance genre!
This is a beautiful story that is more romantic than futuristic, despite the fact that it takes place mostly on a space ship. The characters are real and relatable. Tawni has ambitions and a huge heart for helping people. Larson does his best to avoid people after “escaping” his childhood. But things aren’t always what they seem on the outside, and people are more complex than they first appear. Tawni knows there is much more to give up if she wants to truly make a difference for others. And Larson cares a lot more than he lets on. What I like best about this story is how these two characters help each other find what they don’t even realize they are looking for. I also love that they save and help a young family, which is part of what brings them together—it’s such a wholesome and sweet story.
What a sweet story! Easy to read and follow along with, great characters and well-written plot & setting...this book is a winner all around. I loved watching love bloom and grow between the main characters. The plot twists were interesting and cohesive. And on top of that, there's the fire of love without deviation from a clean story. Well done, Natasja Eby! If you enjoy fun sci-fi romances, you should definitely check this out. I'd recommend it to any young adult reader, as well as avid middle grade readers.
This is a great read, especially if you like old-school sci fi adventures. I really appreciated the fact that the world-building was integrated so well into the storyline, because it ended up being a romance that happens to take place in space, instead of an epic space story that happens to have a romantic storyline (much more preferable in my book) I really liked both of the main characters--especially Larson. In fact, I think he's one of my favorite leading men ever. This book has humor, heart and adventure, and it was a fresh and unique read. I think it could have benefitted from a little more drama, but all in all it's a great fit for someone who likes both sci fi and sweet romance, as it has the best elements of both.

I really enjoyed this fantastic science fiction adventure romance novel.
