The book is sensual story about a girl who streams for success. She deals good with life troubles and her attitude helps her to survive. She wins her internal doubts and fears. What is missing in this book is a touch of reality. Everybody is beautiful and rich and all are equal. It is like soap opera. I think in real life would be more obstacles in a way to success. Happy end is not always possible without consequences.

We meet Chloe in a bar drinking her troubles away with her friend Blaire. Chloe has reason to drink; ex-boyfriend Daniel stuck her with a chunk of debt. She is a fashion consultant who is not exactly flush with cash or jobs. But a sympathetic friend offers Chloe an interesting job hosting a radio show where people call in and talk about their sexual fantasies. Chloe refuses the job, and walks home from the bar where she passes out. She remembers the incident that broke up her relationship with Daniel, a chef with a taste for more than just good food. Over an afternoon breakfast of a bagel in her kitchen, she realizes that it was partly her own fault that she’s in a financial bind.
After seeing a letter from the court, and giving her situation some thought, she takes the job. Chloe tours the studio and comes away excited about her new gig.
Chloe’s first caller was a young man who had a thing for women who work at perfume counters. After a reference to older women and how they might be similar to his mother, he stammers and hangs up. However, the rest of the night goes exceedingly well, and after Chloe secures a salary advance from Blaire, goes home and enjoys a good night’s sleep. Relieved that she’s done well and that she can keep the creditors at bay, she wakes up the next morning feeling motivated. Blaire helps Chloe embrace her new on-air persona by gifting her with some amazing outfits and high heels, clothing Chloe isn’t used to. That night, she dresses up for the radio show, something she originally thought silly, but the new wardrobe gives her the confidence to super-charge her hosting skills. After a second night of rave reviews from Blaire, Chloe goes home to her apartment, only to realize that she’s Chloe, not her on-air personality of “Scarlett.” Her real life is a big empty apartment, a mom worried about her recent break-up, and wondering if her future will be filled with lots and lots of cats.
But as the week goes on, and Chloe’s one consulting job falls through, she realizes that life really isn’t that bad. She’s developing a fan base, and has to leave early for her job in order to chat and give autographs to the people gathering outside the radio station before she goes on the air.
Stephanie, a good friend of both Blaire and Chloe, takes the girls to a luxurious resort where they meet three young men who are brothers. Chloe chats with one of them after dinner, and discovers Adam is uncomfortable. While her friends dance with his brothers, Adam and Chloe sneak away to her room. It’s his first time, and Chloe shows him the ropes. The three friends return to Toronto happy and satisfied.
Her first night on the air after the great weekend brings “Theo” a caller whose fantasy is a little too much. Chloe wonders if the man standing in the shadows across the street after her show is over could be the slightly scary “Theo” who wants a woman with complete sexual confidence who is also submissive. The fact that his fantasy was inspired by Chloe unsettles her. The call gets cut off. She realizes the nature of the show might attract weirdos, but the program’s popularity is through the roof. Chloe finds herself nominated for an award. She wins, and life seemingly couldn’t be better, except for a mysterious stalker who keeps calling the show.
As the novel progresses, Chloe’s life becomes an exploration of her sexuality, another failed fling with a detective who was supposed to protect her, and abduction by her stalker. He is eventually caught, but Chloe is understandably freaked out by the kidnapping and imprisonment, her fight for freedom, and the fact that the radio show, the one thing that she’s really good at and that has brought her success, can also open the door to dangerous individuals. She aborts a suicide attempt when she realizes the noise outside her apartment window is a group of fans chanting for her to come back to the show. After a tentative return, and a caller who reminded her of her stalker, she vows to forge ahead.
But a caller wanting to talk about love grabs her attention, and she realizes that in the mist of all the callers relating their sexual fantasies, love is what motivates them. “Dean” ends up changing her life, in an unexpected way.
As someone who writes erotic fiction, I really liked this book. The contemporary setting in metropolitan Toronto, Ontario, was an added bonus, as I’ve visited there twice and loved it. The sex scenes were vividly written, with good pacing. The story overall was well-paced, with the erotic scenes delivered at just the right time. We also see Chloe develop and change over time, which to me is a mark of quality fiction, particularly erotic fiction. Sex scene after sex scene after sex scene gets boring to me after a while. This is the kind of erotica I like, and the type I write myself: ordinary people having extraordinary sex. Chloe After Dark is a well-written, entertaining novel that embraces fantasy as something not to be ashamed of.

Chloe Milano is newly single, mired in debt and desperate when an amazing new opportunity falls into her lap. A friend wants to hire her for a radio show devoted to listeners sexual fantasies. I have to admit, her initial reluctance made me scream 'Go for it. What do you have to lose?'
And then the author tells us exactly how much she has to lose.
This is a complex story in a deceptively simple premise. Chloe kicks out her sponge of a boyfriend which leaves her free to pursue a new career as well as new sexual opportunities many of which lead to disastrous consequences.
It is quite tempting here to lay the blame on Chloe herself until you realise you're really just putting yourself in league with Chloes less than helpful friends and partners. People, especially women, should be able to make their own choices without being beset by low-lifes or judgemental readers.
My only gripe with the book is that it should have been a little more geared towards Chloes personal feelings and growth.
And then the author tells us exactly how much she has to lose.

Love Goes Out The Window When Money Goes Out the Door
Twenty five year old freelance Fashion Advisor Chloe Milano thought she was living the good life with her long time college boyfriend Daniel, a Trainee Chef. Both of them like the good things life, they have a nice apartment in Toronto, filled with the best furnishings they could buy.
That turned out to be the problem, they couldn’t afford all the stuff that Daniel had bought. He’d used gotten Credit Cards in Chloe’s name because he was a student and didn’t qualify because he did t have the income. So when Chloe started receiving final demands for bills and threats to cut off essential services, she got mad, so mad. After an awful row shouting at each other she ordered Daniel out, they were finished, capito.
Later that night, meeting her two best friends, Blair and Stephanie for drinks at a local bar she breaks down and tells them all. Being best friends they offer several ideas to help, none of which are practical. The craziest one from Blair, a Radio Station Manager, is that Chloe do a Late Night Phone In to help people fulfil their sexual fantasies. The following day, after receiving more threatening demands for bills outstanding, Chloe caves in and meets with Blair at the Radio Station. In desperation Chloe signs up.
Surprising herself at how easily she slips into the role after a couple of blips, she starts enjoying the role, and working with the other station staff. She has built up a huge following but that all comes with unforeseen risks.
Chloe starts receiving calls that are very aggressive and threatening from one particular caller. The situation escalates where she needs minders and eventually private investigator to track down her tormentor. Chloe is left living on a dangerous edge when her dream job becomes a living nightmare.

First me say this is not my usual genre of book, and it also wasn’t what I thought it was going to be about. So it was a book of surprises for me.
Having said that, I was surprised that no other reader/reviews mentioned the need for Trigger Warnings here. Yes people rang in wanting the weirdest fantasies fulfilled, that might upset some (some were funny). But there is also the sexual and violent threats, kidnapping and suicidal ideation. These might be triggering for some.
Have to say I was so disappointed with PI Casper. Didn’t see that one coming.
This was also my first time reading author Elsa Joseph work and I did become really engrossed in the story and the characters. I see there are several books by Elsa and I will look at reading more from her when I look through her library of work. ‘Chloe After Dark’ is a book I’d recommended with no hesitation, just beware of Trigger Warnings.

This was a solid read. It's part thriller, part romance, and definitely steamy. Chloe is left in extreme debt after her long-time boyfriend runs up the bills. They break up, and Chloe is left with the bill. Enter Blair, one of her best friends who has a new show on Fantasy FM that needs a host, and she thinks Chloe is the person for the job.
What I liked:
I liked Chloe. She was definitely relatable, and her relationship with her mom made me laugh more than once. Yes, most of this is pure fantasy, but that is kind of the theme for the entire book. So, while it is not totally realistic, it rings true enough to make it engaging and entertaining. And the steam factor is definitely there.
The stalker was woven in well, and the creep factor was definitely there. How she wrapped up this thread was satisfying. It doesn't shy away from the after-effects of addressing PTSD and suicidal ideation. So if that is a trigger, I would avoid the book, but she does it was sensitivity and it fits with the story.
What I didn't like:
The end felt slapped together. I don't think she needed the HEA. Perhaps if more breadcrumbs were left in the later half of the book, I could have bought into it. This was the only thing I didn't care for in an otherwise very good book.
Overall: I would say go and get this one. It was really good, and I definitely will be picking up other books from this author. Did I mention the steam factor? That alone makes it worth a read.

Unexpected end, the story is suspenseful and twisted
Another great book by Elsa Joseph. Really unexpected end, a book reminds me a cake with different layers. 👏
Actually when I have started reading Chloe After Dark, I thought it would be another story about sexual fantasies and nothing else. No development of the characters or same stuff. Because you know, I am fed up of reading cliche and wanted something unique to read.
But I am glad I was wrong this story just about fantasies! This story is not! It has surprised me with suspense, like a stalking, lots of twists and also psychological content. I knew this second one will follow first book's steaminess but some scenes surprised me so much in a good way, of course. For example, a masquerade ball scene. 🎭

Refreshing to read a book about a woman exploring her sexual wants and figuring them out without accepting societal labels. Chloe goes through a lot of ups and down and gets famous along the way as a radio personality. She learns what she really wants and embraces it; although she has grown into a new more mature person that has the confidence in her decision at the end of the story. I found myself wanting to read more in a sitting then I had time for and parts were very steamy and intense. Enjoy the ride alongside Chloe after dark and her sexual evolution.

who's starting to face financial burdens incurred, mostly, by her sexy Chef boyfriend, David. Determined to live a more peaceable life, Chloe decides to part ways with him.
Fortunately, one of her friends, Blaire, provides her with another job: Radio presenter on a fantasy-driven show. Chloe reluctantly accepts this job due to her naivety to on-air presentation and skills. Blaire promises that the new job will help in managing her financial woes.
On her opening session, she soon finds the job exciting and after a few weeks, Chloe had gradually evolved into a sexual fantasy expert, infact, most listeners' radio darling. Suffice it to say, she had the energy for the job.
However, a challenge surfaces.
A crude male listener and caller begins to pester Chloe. In an attempt to fulfill his own sexual fantasies, he turns emotionally abusive towards Chloe....
As I stated earlier, this is an absolutely refreshing tale of love, drama, betrayal, sex, fantasy and strength. It embodies intrigue. Totally relatable and topical. Plus, the sex scenes are vividly written and the moments are well paced.
And, I would gladly recommend this to everyone.

An intriguing dive into the world of late night talk radio with a racy theme! This book crosses multiple genres as it has a delicious mystery for those of us who like a crime drama, but the racy steam that romance readers who enjoy explicit scenes will also like. It's a mix of light and dark with unique perspectives on both sides of the coin. Never fear though for those who like a happily ever after, this book has that as well. This is my first book by this author and I must say that it won't be my last!

This is a book about Chloe Milano, just broken up with her boyfriend and has been offered a job by her best friend to be the ‘raw talent’ on her newest radio show segment. Chloe after dark is fast paced and full of fantasy and drama with a plot twist at the end you would be expecting! 3/5 stars!

When does a plot, story touch a reader? When they get emotionally tangled into the characters. The good & bad, within the plot twists, intrigue, desires, weather it be fear, insecurities, strength & achievements. That is what this novel did for me. It had all types of emotion depth, from empathy, agony, fear, suspense, drama, desire, intrigue. I have lived thru many of Chloe’s emotions. From being taken advantage by men. Threaten, abused, & was in a romantic image of a fairytale Knight & Shining armor.
I cannot say in my case life has given me a HEA. I have all of Chloe’s fears of being wanted, loved, desires. It will never happen. I’ve allowed my abuse to paralyze me from knowing how to have a real relationship is. To know how to love myself, both emotionally & physically.
I’m aware this is fiction but I’m going to give you a view of my beliefs on some of the plot twists, that I don’t agree with. I’m trying to be objective. I suppose I live in an unrealistic Hallmark romance.
I was into Chloe's emotional, torment she went thru. I felt every terrifying emotion & heartbreak she was going through. Even the relationship with her mother has dysfunctional aspects to my relationship.
1st~ the beginning of the plot to many chapters for Chloe’s character being so vulnerable about Daniel, His behavior that JERK seems ridiculous!
He created her debt, took her for granted & was an arrogant SOB. To have the mother want her to get back together with him. Not a very healthy woman in her own life. I understand college sweethearts, but she was taking care of him.
I'm glad Chloe had close gal pals to support her. I think that Blaire giving her the job opportunity was great. I wish I knew if I could have an alter ego without being embarrassed.
I relate to the plot of the mental, psycho stalker angle, unfortunately it’s more common in our society then we think.
I know as readers we need to have suspense; plot twists & turns. But I believe the story went too far & to long. We could have removed a chapter. Maybe because I related to Chloe's fear of watching your surroundings, who you can & cannot trust? How a woman can be manipulating into believe one thing. When reality is something completely different. Maybe it was just too intense for my taste?
Now to Casper, how could we make him strong, man of integrity then turn him into a husband cheating wimp! Especially after he came to rescue Chloe in the first time, she came close to her stalker. I believe that you made his character to have been in the miliary? No service member regardless of their personal life let a victim to fend for themselves. Not acceptable to have the secretary tell her he cannot help her. Especially after you made two scenes physically & emotionally impacted for the female. It was wrong.
As to the sexual exhibitions ~ understandably every reader has a different longing when dealing with sexual fantasies. I’m not into the orgies, or multiple partners as a fantasy.
But to have Chloe’s character who is so vulnerable after the situation with her so called savior to have an ogre. Then accidently admit to it on air when the stalker hasn’t been caught doesn’t seem realistic. When she is being threaten with physical harm. Maybe I’m just square? Or maybe I just love the romance of the strong, male type that Casper represented.
I cannot believe that the author would allow a private detective’s character to leave a victim abandon with a stalker hanging. Especially giving such an emotional, sensuous & lustful night.
If Casper couldn’t be involved in Chloe’s case, then he should have at least provided her with one of his partners in the business. A member of the armed forces would not allow Chloe to fend for herself. It’s just wrong even for fiction! I guess that makes a fascinating interpretation for the reader to become emotionally invested in the situation.
The next chapter in Scarlett’s heart wrenching, emotional spiral deals with kidnaping, violation, humiliation, physical trauma, depression & attempted suicide, PTSD. Chloe must decide if she is willing to survive her capture, betrayal, shame, guilt. Our radio celebrity goes from captive to being surviving her abduction to becoming an emotional zombie/ She is a roller coaster of a mess dealing with bouts of depression & thoughts of suicide. We witness her decision to commit suicide over living. Does Chloe truly believe that her life is ending then proving to herself & the world that she is a survivor.
Can Chloe make a difference to her public? What about her mother, friends but mostly herself? Can she go back to “Red Light confessions” To admit to her vulnerability from her lack of not being loved? Can she realize that her sextual escapades were because of her relationship with Daniel. Can she admit that her brief affair with Casper was a sextual healing of sorts from her past relationship? Can she move forward from her attack, humiliation from her captivity? Can she be a be an influence on other sexual desires, as well as finding love? Can she find her own happiness.
Read how the ending turns out. Do you agree with the ending?
Here are my concerns with the story plot?
1.Daniel was a jerk. Having his girlfriend be responsible for taking care of him. While he goes to college & create debt.
2.Why would you want Chloe run back to the jerk!
3.Daniel comes back into Chloe’s life being the man on the radio waves expressing how he destroyed the best thing that ever happened to him. He lost his soulmate. The world wants to know what happens in his love story. Then the staff surprises Chloe by having her meet a man who is disheveled, blood shot eyes, & scruffy. That is the way Daniel shows he has transformed to meet his soulmate? It’s that easy for Chloe to run into his arms. What does that make the female lead in this plot? Shouldn’t Daniel be expressing his remorse of his past behaviors in his relationship with Chloe? Have him prove himself to win Chloe’s love. How? Show compassion & concern for what has happened to her. Express is remorse to what he has done by paying pay off the debts he created under Chloe’s name.
4.Why not describe the details of transformation & changes that Daniel has made since he walked out on his so-called soulmate? Have Chloe express what she has been thru with the other man who she thought was healing her wounds. Lastly, I admit that my feelings on this story is because many of the issues, hit home. When it came to the breakdown, insecurities, abuse, stalker. This means that the author can get its readers to feel the characters emotions. Though I would have liked at the ending to express how to get help for depression, suicide for people who have those thoughts they could get help. I would have liked that story to state that Chloe decided on her own to go into therapy. Maybe even admitting she needs to Daniel. Who himself stays wants to go with her. To help the future of their relationship.
I also would have liked a brief blur to state that Casper decided to leave the bitch. Have a discussion with Chloe how sorry he was for not being they’re for her when it came to her life being in danger. Instead of just backing him a cheating husband who put millions over people. Thank goodness that you didn’t have those two characters have kids. As to the ending, I was really hoping that Dean would have been Jack. He seems to always be there for his colleague. Had empathy when he felt he let Chloe down when letting the stalker gets as far as he did.
Why was it necessary to have Keith cancel the first appointment? Was it a test to see if she would come & put her appointment with, her client first? Or did he cancel because he knew that there was a detective watching out for Chloe? So the reason for my 3.5 stars is because their were to many questions that didn't seem resolved. If updated, please have Casper or Jack be Chloe’s happily ever after. Again, this is just a readers opinion who was deeply affected by the story. So that explains that the author is good at their writing.
I cannot say in my case life has given me a HEA. I have all of Chloe’s fears of being wanted, loved, desires. It will never happen. I’ve allowed my abuse to paralyze me from knowing how to have a real relationship is. To know how to love myself, both emotionally & physically.
I’m aware this is fiction but I’m going to give you a view of my beliefs on some of the plot twists, that I don’t agree with. I’m trying to be objective. I suppose I live in an unrealistic Hallmark romance.
I was into Chloe's emotional, torment she went thru. I felt every terrifying emotion & heartbreak she was going through. Even the relationship with her mother has dysfunctional aspects to my relationship.
1st~ the beginning of the plot to many chapters for Chloe’s character being so vulnerable about Daniel, His behavior that JERK seems ridiculous!
He created her debt, took her for granted & was an arrogant SOB. To have the mother want her to get back together with him. Not a very healthy woman in her own life. I understand college sweethearts, but she was taking care of him.
I'm glad Chloe had close gal pals to support her. I think that Blaire giving her the job opportunity was great. I wish I knew if I could have an alter ego without being embarrassed.
I relate to the plot of the mental, psycho stalker angle, unfortunately it’s more common in our society then we think.
I know as readers we need to have suspense; plot twists & turns. But I believe the story went too far & to long. We could have removed a chapter. Maybe because I related to Chloe's fear of watching your surroundings, who you can & cannot trust? How a woman can be manipulating into believe one thing. When reality is something completely different. Maybe it was just too intense for my taste?
Now to Casper, how could we make him strong, man of integrity then turn him into a husband cheating wimp! Especially after he came to rescue Chloe in the first time, she came close to her stalker. I believe that you made his character to have been in the miliary? No service member regardless of their personal life let a victim to fend for themselves. Not acceptable to have the secretary tell her he cannot help her. Especially after you made two scenes physically & emotionally impacted for the female. It was wrong.
As to the sexual exhibitions ~ understandably every reader has a different longing when dealing with sexual fantasies. I’m not into the orgies, or multiple partners as a fantasy.
But to have Chloe’s character who is so vulnerable after the situation with her so called savior to have an ogre. Then accidently admit to it on air when the stalker hasn’t been caught doesn’t seem realistic. When she is being threaten with physical harm. Maybe I’m just square? Or maybe I just love the romance of the strong, male type that Casper represented.
I cannot believe that the author would allow a private detective’s character to leave a victim abandon with a stalker hanging. Especially giving such an emotional, sensuous & lustful night.
If Casper couldn’t be involved in Chloe’s case, then he should have at least provided her with one of his partners in the business. A member of the armed forces would not allow Chloe to fend for herself. It’s just wrong even for fiction! I guess that makes a fascinating interpretation for the reader to become emotionally invested in the situation.
The next chapter in Scarlett’s heart wrenching, emotional spiral deals with kidnaping, violation, humiliation, physical trauma, depression & attempted suicide, PTSD. Chloe must decide if she is willing to survive her capture, betrayal, shame, guilt. Our radio celebrity goes from captive to being surviving her abduction to becoming an emotional zombie/ She is a roller coaster of a mess dealing with bouts of depression & thoughts of suicide. We witness her decision to commit suicide over living. Does Chloe truly believe that her life is ending then proving to herself & the world that she is a survivor.
Can Chloe make a difference to her public? What about her mother, friends but mostly herself? Can she go back to “Red Light confessions” To admit to her vulnerability from her lack of not being loved? Can she realize that her sextual escapades were because of her relationship with Daniel. Can she admit that her brief affair with Casper was a sextual healing of sorts from her past relationship? Can she move forward from her attack, humiliation from her captivity? Can she be a be an influence on other sexual desires, as well as finding love? Can she find her own happiness.
Read how the ending turns out. Do you agree with the ending?
Here are my concerns with the story plot?
1.Daniel was a jerk. Having his girlfriend be responsible for taking care of him. While he goes to college & create debt.
2.Why would you want Chloe run back to the jerk!
3.Daniel comes back into Chloe’s life being the man on the radio waves expressing how he destroyed the best thing that ever happened to him. He lost his soulmate. The world wants to know what happens in his love story. Then the staff surprises Chloe by having her meet a man who is disheveled, blood shot eyes, & scruffy. That is the way Daniel shows he has transformed to meet his soulmate? It’s that easy for Chloe to run into his arms. What does that make the female lead in this plot? Shouldn’t Daniel be expressing his remorse of his past behaviors in his relationship with Chloe? Have him prove himself to win Chloe’s love. How? Show compassion & concern for what has happened to her. Express is remorse to what he has done by paying pay off the debts he created under Chloe’s name.
4.Why not describe the details of transformation & changes that Daniel has made since he walked out on his so-called soulmate? Have Chloe express what she has been thru with the other man who she thought was healing her wounds. Have her state if he wants a chance for a loving relationship, he will need to prove himself to her.

Chloe seemed like a prude.But her previous life with an irresponsible boyfriend left her in dire straits.Her tale goes from unsteady to total chaos.She is given an offer she tries to refuse,but in this situation she's in can she afford to refuse it? She goes into a tailspin when a serial stalker finds.He really messes her up.

I found this book, overall, to be subpar at best. I didn’t really have any quell toward the writing. It was the plot that didn’t really stick with along with the protagonist’s choices and leaps of logic. In the beginning, the narrator claimed that Choles was an extrovert and then later [perhaps a few chapters later] Chole revoked that she was an extrovert. But that happened more than once throughout the book. When her friend had mentioned that there was going to be a Masquerade Party and then her friend canceled it early in the book, and then it was just magically brought up again near the end of the book. What? I thought it was canceled.
I felt the tension could have been racked up tremendously. There was only one moment when I felt my heart pounding and that was when we found out Casper wasn’t being truthful. I was a bit disappointed when the kidnapper finally got her, and nothing happened. That part fell flat for me. I didn’t like that Chole just went through random leaps of logic, convincing herself that maybe this man was ‘inexperienced’ with women, physically. Especially because the author laid the groundwork to how this man thought about what he was going to do to her, in detail. And when he had her, nothing happened. He made her clean…and he ran at her with a knife. As a reader, I was disappointed. There could have been potential in those few scenes that lead up to this moment. So, I did feel a bit cheated at this part in the book.
I also felt things happened a bit fast in the book. She broke up with her boyfriend, she had a one-night stand [or taught some guy how to make love to a woman], slept with Casper, found out who her stalker was, kidnapped her, then the end of the book. The pacing feels off to me, it also feels like a second draft of the book. I think if the author had taken her time and stretched out scenes, I think this would be a great book.

This book is incredible. I didn’t look at the summary when I requested it as a review copy and I requested so many books, I don’t remember what the genres were either. I say this all the time in my reviews, that’s how I prefer to go into a book. I want to know the bare minimum.
This book takes you on a roller coaster ride. I didn’t know it was part Erotica at first, so that took me by surprise. It was the first time I listened to an Erotica story that was longer than a couple of hours, so it really had time to flesh things out. Along the way, Chloe takes her fate into her own hands instead of moping and feeling sorry for herself.
The characters in this story are all memorable and in some cases, hilarious. Chloe makes an excellent example of female empowerment in a character without making it seem forced or like it’s going for brownie points, as this type of thing often does. She’s likable and relatable, her emotions and struggle feel real.
This story had me anxious and on the edge of my seat. I was worried for her safety and well-being; wondering how she would get herself out of the hole she was in. I rarely feel so invested in the life of a character in a story.
Overall, the narrator does an incredible job. Early on she says “Furry” instead of fury. It’s hard to spell what she said, but it sure as hell wasn’t fury and it was distracting. There are a couple of times in the audiobook where the audio is doubled up. This is an issue I seem to be noticing more and more with Audible books. At one point, there’s a loud, distracting click at the end of the dialogue before it repeats.
If I haven’t made it clear enough yet, I very much enjoyed this book. This is one steamy thriller you won’t want to miss.

So Chloe after dark I about Chloe who after she breaks up with her raggedy ass boyfriend who left her with so much debt , gets a job at a radio station as a radio host for a show where people call in after dark to talk about their sexual fantasies.
Chloe took this job because after she breaks up with Daniel (her boyfriend ) who sucks, is super childish, immature and thinks life is nothing but fun and games, Because he accumulated so much debt while they were in a relationship and it got too much for Chloe that when he called Daniel out on his bullshit , he got mad at her "for making a big deal out of nothing" decides he's not going to do the responsible thing and take accountability , so he leaves Chloe with all the debt and the problems , so Chloe has to get another job to be able to pay off all the debt Because her fashion consulting job is not bringing in enough money, so she gets a job as a radio hot for a raunchy show where people call in and either act out their sexual fantasies with the help of the hosts or they ask for advice, vent, rant or just talk about Sex or anything really. In the beginning Chloe is obviously Terrible at this but after giving herself a pep talk and "letting go" she gets really good and nails the job. I really enjoyed the book. It was like, not too extreme, it's nothing compared to your 50 shades or Jodi Ellen Malpas, but it's good In it's own right, and it's fun and light. Very annoyed that Chloe got back with her raggedy boyfriend, he SUCKS! and she deserves better, I mean he left her with all of that debt?? Are you kidding me??

Elsa Joseph has penned another steamy novel, this one centered around a young lady named Chloe Milano. Ms. Milano has just departed a long-term relationship with a would-be chef named Daniel, who has no desire to control his spending, and leaves Chloe with significant debt. Chloe's friend Blair steps in and offers Chloe a job as a host of a radio talk show, entitled Red Light Confessions. Since Chloe has no experience in radio sex talk, she hesitates, but soon relents and takes the job. Somewhat to her surprise, Chloe finds that she has some aptitude for this. Finding her way through lurid conversations with some frankly perverse callers, Chloe adopts the name Scarlett and becomes a star. Chloe After Dark isn't like any erotic romance novel you've read before.
Before going on I'd like to mention how well thought out and nicely written it is. The plot twists, the turns and suspense was just on point.
In this read we are introduced to Chloe (our lead character) drinking in a bar. Not only had she broke up with her long time, irresponsible lover (Daniel) but she found out that he'd left her in serious debt. Without a steady job, her good friend Blair offers her a job at the radio station to host a late night show where people call in and share their sexual fantasies. Not sure about the offer she brushes it off till the next morning after receiving a letter, with no other choice she takes the job offer to help with her financial woes.
She becomes popular and is adored by the listener's but with this job also comes challenges. She becomes a target of a stalker. We watch Chloe step into the woman she is and get her life back on track. I enjoy how the author gave these characters realistic problems. I do so hope that the author enjoyed writing this so much so as I enjoyed reading it.

Chloe After Dark starts with Chloe Milano breaking up with her long time boyfriend Daniel. After the split, Daniel left Chloe in financial debt. Unsure of how to manage the debt, Chloe's best friend Blaire offers her a job at the radio station where she works. Chloe is uncertain if she should take the job as it's for a fantasy talk show and feels unsure if she's able to discuss that topic on-air with strangers.
She ends up taking the job as collection agencies call leaving her stressed about money issues. Once in the studio, she finds out that she really enjoys working on the radio. She finds herself stepping outside her boundaries and going with the flow.
I didn't know exactly what to expect from the book and erotica is not my go-to for reading. However, I did find the book enjoyable. While I didn't care for Chloe too much as a main character, I did enjoy Blaire. The book itself was well written and a lot of drama and what's going to happen next is involved.
This book isn't for everyone. If you like 50 Shades then you'll like Chloe After Dark and I would recommend it.

I also read the best-kept secret by Elsa Joseph, where I became a fan of the authors writing style. This story concentrates on our main character Chloe's life: how she transforms herself to overcome her exposure and take accountability to change her life. The Author developed the screenplay adequately to make the plotline very interesting, and also, characters were correctly built to handle every reader into the story. Somehow while reading, you will develop an attachment to the characters slowly. I find almost every scene connected. I feel like the Author has a consummate vocabulary. Each word of this book drives us to read the next one. It is easy to read, and there is nothing to dislike in this book.
In my opinion, the Author deserves massive acclaim for writing such a good story in this genre. This book is wholly a unique erotic romance. Overall, while reading, you can feel that the worst is not over yet, and you find yourself being pulled in and entirely intrigued by the story.

Chloe Milano breaks up with her irresponsible boyfriend Daniel. Left in debt with bill collectors coming after her, her best friend Blaire offers her a job at the radio station to host a late-night radio talk show where callers share their sexual fantasies.
A natural talent, Chloe soon becomes a popular radio personality with adoring fans. Along with her celebrity status, Chloe becomes the target of a stalker. Blaire hires a private detective, Casper, to find and apprehend the stalker. Chloe finds herself attracted to the older investigator. There are complications, however.
Chloe After Dark had me mesmerized with the plot twists and suspense. Elsa Joseph's detailed writing style and narration had me visualizing the story as a motion picture in my head. Five stars, I enjoyed this story and steamy love scenes and look forward to reading more of Elsa Joseph's stories in the future.

Chloe is in a state of confusion after being detached from the person she had grown so fond of. She is faced with the uphill battle of getting things back to normal and resuming a happy, depression-free life. The author of this book brings light to Chloe’s lifestyle, building a captivating narration. Chloe’s closest friends including Blair and Stephanie stick around her and encourage her to keep up with life despite having going through a break up. As the story begins, the author creates a sense of ambiguity concerning Daniel, and his traits. The plot of the story is well organized and presented in twenty-five chapters, featuring interesting events and different themes including romance, friendship and family. Chloe is faced with a lot of pressure that pushes her to give in. This would not only affect her family, but her friends and fans who believe in her. Hopefully, the situation might just get better for her to thrive again.

Deciding between 3 and 4 stars was difficult for this book, so let's say I settled on 3 and a half.
I absolutely devoured this book, finishing it in one night. It was fast paced, easy to read- almost like a TV show or movie in the way it felt. The storyline is interesting and compelling, and the way Chloe's character develops from shy and introverted to outgoing and open is done really well. There are some issues with the writing- mainly info-dumping backstory that could be easily woven into the story, and the dialogue at the beginning isn't realistic in the way she almost tells her life story everytime she talks to someone new. But that corrects itself later on as the backstory no longer needs to be presented as much.
Overall I did enjoy this book! The writing massively improves, the characters develop, and the plot twists will keep you reading. The added element of mystery to the otherwise sexy storyline is what makes Chloe After Dark such a compelling read.

Plot of the story is interesting and protagonist Chloe presented as a fighter even though people did her best to use , exploit and play with her feelings.

Infact Author - Elsa Joseph did fantastic job by bringing up daring story.
Indirectly , story gives a good message to readers - At end everything comes at palace , intentions of the person should be good and also even 1% of faith can bring miracle. Always keep fighting , keep trying , never be afraid to listen your heart.

Read this book in one sitting! The protagonist is a beautiful young woman, who has finally grown a backbone and ended her three-year’s relationship with her boyfriend, and is now mired in debt, and desperate to make ends meet! An opportunity crops up, which she reluctantly gives it a go. New life with promising aspects begins, and she becomes Scarlett overnight! Talking to strangers seductively at ungodly hours, surely, what can go wrong? What’s there to lose? Then, everything starts to go wrong, drastically wrong! It’s so easy to blame the protagonist for her wrong choices, but, if the tables were turned, what could you have done differently? Some settle for giving others second chances, whether it's the best move or not, only time will reveal.
Overall, it is a refreshing read with drama, love, betrayal, danger, and finally finding your true self.

First, let me say that I was reading other books when I started. I can't promise a page-turner but it has a message. And if you're looking for some kink this is the read for you. Chloe has enormous debt because of her ex-boyfriend and she takes a radio job to pay her bills. The other part of the story is that she is looking for love in all the wrong places. I find that easy to envision. This is a personal preference, I was hoping she was more of a dynamic character and I thought she was scatterbrained. But she did redeem herself. So what else is there to explain? Well, there is explicit content that lives up to the tone of the story. I liked Elsa Joseph's other book better. If you like simple storytelling with a soap opera tone you will enjoy Chloe After Dark.
