A lot of one-sided pining from Mai. Would've been nice to have seen Watari's feelings for her a bit more. Now I'm stressed if Watari ever got a cell phone. Mai's Kabocha Dango didn't get much spotlight either.
Romance manga set in high school always have a bittersweet end, don't they? It seems everyone breaks off from each other. It would've been nice to see them interact in their future lives. Maybe as Watari becomes a researcher, or something. Their romance felt temporary, like it lasted a second. Watari didn't seem to have strong feelings for Mai only a light interest at the very end.
Kotori getting mad at Mai at the end for having male friends was kind of annoying. Since she was one to pursue the boyfriends of other girls.
Otherwise, it was a cute manga with cute moments. Not ground-breaking and could have had more cuteness. I liked Watari's personality. It would've been nice to know what had happened to his mother or more about him as a person and his upbringing.
