Shifting time

I like this series. All of Zoe Chant’s books have a common romance theme, but more they are stories about family. And extending family, accepting people for who they are, despite their quirks and abnormalities.

Amazing stories about Wildfire shifters

I like this box that because it has four stories about four Wildfire shifters finding their mates. Each story is individualized and uniquely intriguing that has a plot line running through it.

Wildfire Griffin is about the alpha Wildfire Griffin named Rory whose power is his voice to compel each team to obey him. Edith is a human who is autistic and wildfire fighter. Will Rory tell her that she is his mate and face the ancient evil together?

Wildfire Unicorn is about Wystan who is the unicorn but without the healing power that is supposed to have. His mate is Candice who works as Rescue Veterinary Assistant saving animals during wildfires. Will they get together without losing his unicorn?

Wildfire Seadragon is about Joe who is the son of a Pearl Empress and sees visions of the future. Seren is a shark shifter, squire in the First Water Knights, and Joe's mate. Will they finally mate after defeating the king of demons?

Wildfire Pegasus is about Cullum who is a Pegasus shifter, firefighter, and one of the HotShots firefighters. Diana is his mate. But she's keeping a little secret from him. Will they ever get together?

The characters are relatable, awesome unique shifters, and have definite personalities. Each story is in the individualized as they are I have a common thread throughout the storyline.

Highly recommended. I am eagerly looking forward to the story about the Wildfire Hellhound.

This is a good set of shifter romance, with likable couples. It is a spin-off of the Fire & Rescue Series, featuring the children of those couples. You don't really have to read the Fire & Rescue Series first, but I believe most readers would enjoy it more if they had read that series -- since it contains a great deal of information on the shifters, their families, and their abilities. Overall, this set of romances gets 4 stars from me.

I liked all the couples, and loved that the shifters didn't have any problems accepting that their mates had scars or disabilities. I did get a little irritated at some of them a few times, since they made some really dumb choices -- which hurt their mates. They all got past those mistakes, though, and ended up with their HEA.

I loved all the unique characters, creatures, and shifters that are included in this set of books. Some of them are a lot of fun, and they made the books very interesting.

One problem I have with all of Zoe Chant's series is that there is so long between books. Lots of times I have to go back and reread some of the earlier books in a series, simply because it has been so long that I don't remember all the characters. That is frustrating. I know Zoe Chant is actually a group of authors, and one person writes all the books in a series, but I wish the books in a series could be published closer together. This boxed set came out some time ago, and I waited to read it for quite a while -- because I was hoping the rest of the books in the series would come out. But there is still at least one book left, and I don't know when it will be available.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

OMG! SO MUCH FUN!

Wildfire Shifters :Collection 1 is a spin-off series from Essex Fire and Rescue series. While each novel in the series is complete and stand alone to fully understand the plot it helps to read each novel in order starting with the first series! That being said so far everything I have read of Zoe Chant's has been ENCHANTING! In this new series she brilliantly combines mythical shifters with Native American lore and a sprinkle of rainbows and unicorns to up the magical tone for good measure. I lost hours of sleep as I could not put the books down. I may just give up and hire someone to clean my house as I sit here in my rocking chair like a queen on her throne, reading and reviewing every one of Zoe Chant's works of art! She is a master at creating world's that are both mythical and believable at the same time! I am convinced that Britain is indeed ruled by a dragon queen shifter and that unicorns and other fantastic beasts have found sanctuary within the more remote parts of our world, separated by a magical barrier, only those who are very special can see! Another gift of Zoe's is the ability to create characters whose so called disabilities are their strength not liability, a superpower so to speak. This is especially true with her human females who are fated mates to her mythical shifters. Without these flawed (at least in the eyes of the outside world) human women the shifters would not be able to survive near impossible circumstances. Zoe Chant has even portrayed ADD and ADHD as a superpower. Through her exceptional word craft you believe it's possible that those of us who are neurotypical are the truly disabled people! The romance is off the charts! And every story ends in happily ever after. Paranormal Romance will probably never be considered masterpiece literature but Zoe Chant's tales about hunky heroes and sexy mates deserve a place on your bestseller bookshelves. I am looking forward to reading more about the Thunder Mountain Hotshots in future works of art by Zoe Chant! Well done!

I liked the inclusivity aspect of this book and how it gave us a chance to start to know the shifters. I wonder how the lightning creator is going to factor in later. I found Rory to be inoffensive. I mostly remember his griffin. Edith and Rory do make a sweet couple.

This was a good read although Wyn would have had to try hard to make his interactions with her any more awkward. She handled everything well and Flash was adorable. I thought Wyn was just a sweet guy and which was complimented by Candice’s assertiveness (and vice versa). The epilogue was very intriguing for Joe’s story.

Buck is soooo not an average human

Joe and Seven are in interesting pair that initially didn’t click for me but that changed quite quickly as they spent time together. At least he didn’t fight it for that long in the book. I know he was fighting it for over a decade so maybe he was just worn out. I was not expecting the riding demon requiring sacrifice angle but it ended up working out plot wise. Out of all of them, so far this is the book that’s the most about self acceptance. Flying shark should not just be for emergencies.

Lastly we have Callum and Diana. This plot was amazing. Not only am I loving the mental health and neuroatypical representation but the whole triplet thing was done well. I liked how their relationship came back together after Diana entered the scene. Beth is absolutely adorable and when she shifted that first time and took off, I just had to laugh. It was amazing. I do wish that Diana had made him work a little harder for forgiveness. This thunderbird thing is really getting interesting now. I bet that he and Blaise are mates and she’s going to save him. I’m more worried about Fenrir.

Even though I read this book, I left my individual reviews under each solo book. I am making a quick review here just in case someone decided to skip the single books and grabs this compilation of books 1-4.

This is actually a series of 6 books even though 2 are not included in this set. They MUST be read in order! Even though each book focuses on a different character, there is an ongoing storyline that is vital to understanding the later books. You get A LOT of time with each character in every book, despite its focus on one couple. You will fall in love with these friends, who grew up together and act a lot like siblings. Trust, me, there's a lot I didn't love about this author's writing style, but I still couldn't put down this series after book 1 because I was completely in love with the characters.

This was my first time reading this author and while I thought it would be a steamy romance, the books barely dabble into PG-13 zone as far as detailed intimacy, which is once per book and it's usually over before you even realize it happened. Also, AFTER they mate, the male in the story loses his brain and decides he MUST save everyone by sacrificing himself. He usually does this by lying or tricking his mate into leaving. Of course, all he needed was to trust his mate bond and his badass mate. In every case we've got a smart female who realizes she has been tricked and turns back around to save the day as well as her mate, using their soul-deep bond. FINALLY, you get a hard-earned HFN, which rolls into the epilogue, which always ends in a jaw-dropping reveal about the next MC so of course, you are invested and you've got to dive right into the next book.

These were okay. In fact I liked them enough to buy the rest of the series. They were interesting and the characters were written so that the reader actually cares what happens to them. Believe it or not, this is high praise for me as I am not ordinarily a fan of shifter books. (Usually there is too much heavy breathing and and emphasis on 'choosing' a mate and not enough on the plot). However these books had a vein of humor running through them that was entertaining. There was a also a running sub plot that kept me interested enough to stick with the series until it was resolved.
I had the disadvantage of starting in the middle of the 2nd series about the children of the first shifter firefighters and it took me some time to catch up (I kept wondering what happened to the characters in the first book I had read "Wildfire Unicorn" through the first couple of books in the 1st series, and the similarity in the titles didn't help, until it finally dawned on me that the characters must be the kids of the 1st series. I do recommend the books though.

Shifter love

There is not bad story in this set. I enjoyed each book As the characters were well written and their store lines we're complete.

I am a somewhat reader to Zoe Chang's writing That I am well please to have her as a new author for consideration. If you've never read anything by her this is it's a good 1 to pick up .

With This series of books you'll get a Griffin, peagus, sea dragon and let's not forget a great white shark what else could you ask for? That's right a hell Hound.

Looking for to the next book in this series which will be I'm hoping Blaise's story.

great series as always ZOE CHANT 4thewin!

Is there anything Zoe chant can’t do? does she have endless stories within her?
Amazing series I especially love how she added characters who have overcome and still struggle with social differences
Such as AUTISM, ADD, ADHD, and each character is strong tough but still struggles it’s so life like I’d swear Zoe is just recording the life and adventures of her real life shifter friends. Now what kind of shifter is Zoe? The characters and plots setting and details are far too vivid and real to me made up imagination. I don’t care if it is paranormal this world is REAL! I see it I feel it I breathe within it.

Great stories

I really enjoyed all of these stories. I literally went from one story to another until I finished the entire collection. These stories are a bit different from other shifter stories because there are so many different types of shifters. Not just the normal wolf shifters. Plus, the author seems to love pairing unexpected shifters with one another. It’s an added bonus to read about the team being wildfire firefighters. Definitely recommend these books. And I’m heading over to get the next in the series.

Great read

I have read all of the fire and rescue shifter series and the first four books from the wild fire shifters. Knowing that each book will end happily should take away some of the suspense however the author keeps me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how everything is going to work itself out. In every book she continuously adds unexpected twists that make the books hard to put down. Our world where reality is often bleak, I have found these books to be a sanctuary.

Worthwhile reread

I downloaded this to see the changes in Wildfire Pegasus, but also took the opportunity to reread the series back to back, and I'm pleased I did. Personally I don't think the change was entirely necessary, and I think it raises new questions that aren't really addressed, but I do understand why it was made, and I'm definitely looking forward to the rest of the series and and further follow ups.

Great collection of booþ_ks!

I got this collection manly for book 4 as I've read the other books already. The author sent out links for this collection because she made changes to this book but Amazon hadn't updated the standalone book yet. This book was well written and flowed very well. The characters in this book also appear in the previous books so it's nice that the author put these together. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Just keep getting better

It is so much fun to see the next generation of mythical shifters. I was glad for the change in Callum's story. Now to learn more about Fenrir and then let's circle back to Callum's boarding school friends. Great stories and interesting couples.

This series doesn’t suck

Tightly woven story line connecting to other Zoe Chant novels. A bit of Native American story connection tied the series in to its location well. Hot romance as usual, and tied back to prior novels while still being a stand alone series.

Good

A solid collection of fated mates stories. Each is a little repetitive this the four stars, same big bad, same drama with mating, but still interesting. There are lots of different shifters it would be great if more was shared about their unique skills and cultures.
