Are you struggling with your faith in God, feeling lost, and not wanted? From the author of the highly acclaimed The Potter and the Clay, Ellis Lucas reveals the story behind the story in the second installment of his Christian inspirational books—from personal salvation to family reconciliation and spiritual healing. Wanted is an inspirational account of transformation filled with personal and spiritual truths, and the stories of people Lucas has helped to find their salvation in God. Wanted is a beautiful testimony related to a constant flow of Scripture. Like a mighty river filling the hearts of its readers, you will be refreshed and encouraged to step deeper into the river of God’s amazing love and the truth of his Word. Through the eyes of God we are all in need of guidance and salvation. This book invites the reader to come home to Jesus Christ and to enter that secret place of the humbled heart where you can live everyday with Jesus. We can often rush ahead in life without seeking God’s words—motivated only by habitual, selfish plans and desires that hurt those we love most. Lucas provides solid, scriptural reasons to follow in Jesus’ footsteps with true-life stories to inspire the reader to seek out God and make healthy choices. We are all prone to pride and hard-heartedness and Wanted will teach you that nobody is without hope, whether through addiction, emotional abuse, abandonment or disillusionment in life.It will also challenge all Christians to do everything they can to reach out to those who are considered by many to be unreachable, consider how great is your love for those around you, and to know the true depth of God’s grace in your suffering. Lauded as a seminal work in Christian books, readers will come away with a view of the world bigger than themselves. We are all WANTED.“The personal testimony of Ellis Lucas, and the testimonies of others he shares, give living proof that God loves YOU; regardless of where you have been, what you have done, God not only loves you and WANTS YOU, He can take your life and turn it around, and make you a living witness of His Love and His Grace, and His Power to change the life of anyone who comes to Him.” – George W. Westlake, Jr, D. Min.
“Hope itself is like a star- not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the pitch black night of suffering and adversity.”
― Charles Haddon Spurgeon
“The life of someone like Ellis Lucas usually doesn’t get written in books; instead, it’s “written” on the garbage heaps and junk piles of blighted urban areas—the saddest parts of our cities, which record the tales of those who’ve totally given up to alcoholism, defeat, drug addiction, rejection, and a whole lot more, but not someone like Ellis Lucas. Ellis’s life today is a gift to life itself. Meeting Ellis in person or on the phone, one is struck by the hugeness of his heart - recognizing that here is a person who has overcome much. Ellis is a man who has moved through immeasurable pain and fears to conquer a mountain of tragedy through a very personal and powerful relationship with Jesus Christ. A journey that captivated the hearts and imaginations of people worldwide, which is the essence of our dreams and the heart of the Creator behind it.” – Mike Schwager!
Ellis’s life is a demonstration of God’s redeeming power and relentless love toward all of humanity!
I will probably be reading and rereading this book for the rest of my life...
At the sake of sounding arrogant or prideful, (God forbid), I believe this book was written just for me... That it exists because I exist. That it exists because I (and others like me), so desperately need it.
Written by a man who genuinely gets it, who sincerely has a servant's heart, a man who wants to help others to find and know that we are truly "wanted" by the Creator of the Universe... Using scripture, Ellis Lucas in a conservational manner, skillfully and persuasively lays out his case. Believably. Beautifully.
I'll continue to read it, Because I choose to believe. Believe, even though suffering severe emotional abuse from the one person in the world who is supposed to love you no matter what... A 'mother' who made me feel UNworthy, UNlovable and UNwanted. A 'mother' who passed away in the last year, driving those points home in a last painful, direct and unmistakeable act, opening old wounds and leaving more scars...
I choose to believe that Almighty God wants me. That's why I'll continue to reread this book. Because I believe one day, the deep, intense hurt will be healed along with the scars, and the truths Mr. Ellis shares will finally, fully sink in. (Thank you Mr. Ellis for caring about your fellow human beings enough, to share yourself and your life with us). A powerful, moving book which I highly recommend. To anyone, to everyone. Because you are 'Wanted" too. Just as you are.
This is the author’s second book. The first was the Potter and the Clay. And I have read and reviewed that one as well. I really loved that one. This one I loved too, but not as much as The Potter and the Clay. This one continues on explaining and reaching out to those who know the Lord and reaching out to help them to grow in their faith and also, reaching out to the lost to show them all that Christ has done and the debt he paid for us to have a choice for eternity. It is a great book. I recommend to all. It will be an inspiration to many.

A powerful, moving book which I highly recommend. It's message is for everyone, for all of us. For anyone who feels UNworthy, UNlovable, or UNwanted.
Look! Look carefully at the cover of the book! What do you see? Serenity? Serenity of mind? Or maybe pleasure? A full understanding of yourself and the world?
Personally, I see a man who has found a clue, he is calm and he is balanced. He's found himself! Can you say that about yourself? And if you're holding this book, you want to know a secret too, don't you? And it's the right thing to do!
After reading this book, I want to be, to be better. To be another little ray of light and kindness and understanding and support. And I will try my best! I believe that there is a power that will help us, because I can feel it. Let's make this world a little kinder?! I know we can do this, we just have to get started. Start with yourself! Become the brightest example! I also liked the thought of discussing the goals and priorities of people in our time. Because I'm one of them too... To prove something to someone, to correspond to fake established images, constant race for something not even very much needed for me, to prove, to convince... But personally you are happy being in this cycle of piece created events? Most likely, most people will say they're not. Sit down and think about it, but you'd better write it down. Are you clean in body and soul? What are your thoughts? Are they blubber to themselves, to people? Are you kind in your deeds? Are you really so wonderful? (I strongly recommend you to pay special attention to chapter 7) Release yourself and love... Let's start together! As I read the book, I realized more and more that I had to destroy all the "idealization pictures" myself and start from scratch. With soul and heart open to the world. I will start with a sincere gratitude to the author that by personal example and many other people showed me hope and faith in my bright future.
Everything is real, we need to start changing right now. I don't know about you, reader, but I'm going to search for my harmony and I'm strong in my intentions, which I wish for you too!
I came across the book "Wanted" by Ellis Lucas from his previous work "The Potter and the Clay", which moved me very much emotionally. Since I associate extremely positive experiences with the previous book, I decided to buy "Wanted". Reading "The Potter and the Clay" is not a prerequisite, but a recommendation for understanding the author's motivation and life story, which he presents in incredibly impressive words. Surely you will be shocked at first because the term "Wanted" initially arouses negative feelings, doesn't it? A feeling of threat and persecution arises. But this only happens when viewed one-sidedly. Because the term "Wanted" also has another meaning, which is unfortunately very often overlooked: Wanted! - You as a human being are wanted and needed! This blanket acceptance of negative things leads out of today's society. We are so focused on the negative and are surrounded by so many negative things, that we often only see the bad and the good overlooked - especially in people! This book shows this problem of today's society and tries to show that there is a great lack of understanding in the communication between people and between God. The choice of words and the familiar way of conversing with the reader shows an incredible talent for attracting people and motivating them to rethink their own lives and many actions. The author shows the skill of combining biblical quotations with the current everyday life: The Bible is not fiction, as many assume. The Bible is a reality. The Bible teaches us to love. The Bible forms connections between all people - and that is good!
The leitmotif of the book is: People must realize that they are wanted by God! No other person may take away your trust in yourself! You, as you are, are wanted! There are no wrong people, only people who have strayed from the right path - help them to find the right path and you will see that the world is not as bad as you think. By helping others, in a way you are also helping yourselves.
I am looking forward to reading more books from Ellis.

The spiritual life enlightener! For so many years, I have been reading Religion and Spirituality books to increase my knowledge about God and gain more spiritual belief. However, some of the books I come through appear to be the same wine in different bottles, just the ordinary stories revolving around the internet. When I came over, "Wanted," I did not know what to expect, but after reading the book, I felt that I had just acquired what I had always been missing all this time. The book provides the readers with adequate information and examples to be able to find out the real truth about different aspects that human beings neglect in life. The author assures the readers that they are free to do as they please. Still, they should be aware that there are dire consequences for going against the ideal way of life prescribed by God. Ellis Lucas enlightens his readers that they know a range of spiritual aspects. Knowledge is power, and therefore, all that's left is for people to utilize this knowledge to the fullest. A good illustration of this is a scenario where an individual has prior experience of a trap and its position. All one has to do is avoid the trap by all means. Otherwise, the aftermath is to be entirely blamed on the individual. In conclusion, the human race needs to discover that they are wanted by God, not for their deeds but rather, as His precious masterpiece of creation. The author has showcased professional skills in writing the book, with impeccable and consistent grammar that makes it an enjoyable read. I highly recommend to Christians, and any other person who would love to know more about what God wants for us, Highly recommended!
Faith is a gift, some people are born with it, some will find it someday. But it is our fate that either we find it or not. The path of self healing starts with belief. The best knowledge I gained from this book is how faith can heal any mind, whether it is torn or not. "Wanted" is a book of enlightenment. It is the torchbearer of hope and love. Ellis has penned down an amazing testimony of his life. His transformation is something that cannot be described through words. He had gone through the most disastrous phase of his life and reached at the ultimate point of despair. From there he miraculously found hope, healing and life.
He begins the book by giving a glimpse of his own life. Throughout the 15 chapters in the book, he is reinstating one most important point, why you are the most wanted by Jesus and how can you find the path of self-realization and happiness. The author has used a very different kind of writing style. He structured the journey of self-realization from beginning to end through these 15 chapters. These perfectly organised ideas are enough for a human being to embark a change in their mind. A change that can lead to enlightenment.
One thing I felt when reading is pure joy. Ellis is the happiest man who dedicated his life to help people in need. So his inner joy is flowing through his words. Where there is innocence there will be happiness. I can literally felt it throughout the book. I found a Bible inside this book. The author has used numerous Bible verses to explain human nature and behaviours. Every chapter ends with invaluable insights.
This is one of the greatest reads I have ever gone through. Totally recommend this one.
Must Read! This book is a great relief to all suffering and I am still amazed with author’s experience. No matter what age in life you are now, this book inspires you to look to God. Most of us finding our self in world where everything seems against us and ever our love does not work. Best ways of salvation to day to day issues of life and unsolved questions of our mind. Real life experience of people shared their experiences and stories about the power of love and unseen truth of human life. Most of us lost out hopes when we face any challenge in life and go to wrong way. Some amazing life changing stories of the people who enabled them to turn their sufferings into blessings are there to read which will blow their mind
This book has the power to transform any personality to believe in God’s great power. Now I can feel a constructive and peaceful energy in my surroundings. I recommend this book who want to see a world of peace, spirituality and equality around them This book is on top of my inspiration book shelf.
After my girlfriend's words: "You just have to read it and share your thoughts with me!" ... . So we discussed the book all evening. I love these moments. And most interestingly, we made a list of our acquaintances who are obliged to read this. Do you, my friend, have these thoughts when you know what to say? No, even shouting to everyone? Guys, there's a solution, it's here and just for you! Here I saw kindness, support, hope! Here I saw the Light! In Ellis' first book "The Potter and the Clay: Hard Pressed on Every Side but Not Destroyed" he introduces us to his personal history, while in "Wanted" we get to know many different "lives". And it's undoubtedly a miracle! Again, I am very inspired by this kind of transformation. And I realized how many broken people, of whom we know absolutely nothing about... But how many people who go on the path of change and resistance. Life is very complicated and far from easy. No time to down hands... Here, I want to write a quote: “Never Give Up! Success in life is an attitude” The words from this man's history inspired me the most. I even tap the link. The book gave me a lot of understanding and kindness. Thank you, Ellis so much! And thanks for all what are you doing! I'm gonna finish with a quote: «...to inspire us to inspire others and inspire the world!»
Fantastic! I just finished reading. And If you are finding yourself in the lost world or everything around you is hopeless then this book is for you. I read many ways of salvation to family reconciliation and spiritual healing. People who were in a confusing way to know God’s great power shared their experiences and stories about the truth of the existence of that mighty power.
Some heart touching stories have made me feel positive and motivational energy around me. My favorite part where the writer explained the great power of love. I recommend this book who want to transform their-self in a world of peace, spirituality, and equality.
The world can be a cruel place. Many a time, you may feel unwanted, of no importance and value in the world. We deal with mental warfare and we are in constant need of peace. Believe it or not, many people are lonesome even in the presence of friends and family. This book is for anyone going through a time when you feel unwanted.
The book contains inspirational testimonies that are simple and well narrated. The author writes about the importance of being in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Backed up with Bible verses, the book can also serve as a daily devotional book.
This book is encouraging and uplifting. God values everyone and there is no measure of His love. If you are on a spiritual journey, this book will enlighten you on God and Jesus Christ. It will show you the sacrifice that Jesus gave so that we could be saved.
Ellis Lucas is an incredible writer and I hope before reading this book you could read his first book “The Potter and the Clay”, his biography. He does his research and what he writes is backed up by Bible verses. This book is simple, clear and to the point.
Highly recommend this book. Take your time to read it. Let it be your daily book. It will remind you of God’s love and how important you are to the world.
Wanted is a fantastic follow-up book to Ellis's autobiography The Potter and the Clay. Wanted deals with an ever-increasing epidemic of unnatural human suffering, namely people who've had their foundation pulled out from beneath them through addictions, rejection, divorce, abuse, abandonment, or suicide. Ordinary people who've been overcome by a title wave of destructive emotions, and provides a different way of viewing trauma through the eyes of perspective for those who honestly believe they are hopeless.
When people experience an unnatural or sudden degree of loss, the natural reaction is to internalize an abnormal degree of fear and anxiety, especially when it involves trust betrayed. When people do experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. The question is, what do you do when it does; lose hope, drugs, alcohol, or violence? NO! And Heaven forbid, definitely not suicide! Yet, people begin to wrestle with the question, "Is life worth living?" Wanted offers examples of real people who discovered an enduring blessing through the eyes of perspective that enabled them to turn their most significant suffering into a lifelong platform for good. These courageous individuals had all discovered life-breathing purposes that amazingly came from those dark and painful seasons of their lives. Most would tell you, apart from that season, their lives would not have a fraction of the meaning they do today, as a result of those unfortunate tragedies.
Ellis’s story reflects those profound learning lessons that many people struggle with regarding Christianity. How deferring to Jesus Christ will serve as our one real and unfailing life preserver when sinking in the troubled waters of despondency. Also, the healing and overcoming we can experience when we put our trust in Him - who suffered for us all and sincerely from the Heart. In this empowerment, we are enabled to overcome impossible situations, pain, sins, and failures.
Ellis's story is one of great pain, and also great healing. This book will unravel the meaning to Isaiah 61:3, “He gives beauty for ashes.” Ellis explains how suffering has been his most excellent teacher through the eyes of perspective and was undoubtedly the gateway that led to the transformation that occurred in his life. It can be for others as well - as God's gift not only to us as individuals but to inspire us to INSPIRE OTHERS and, when possible, inspire the World! If you or someone you know is facing an impossible situation, this book is for you!
Wanted is an inspirational book written by Ellis Lucas about the process of transformation that we as human beings have to go through in order to overcome life challenges. This book inspires its readers to see the value of spending time with Jesus Christ, the all loving savior. Wanted is a book bearing the message that no one is unwanted before God’s eyes. The author goes into detail explaining how graceful Jesus Christ was in the plan of salvation by accepting to be crucified on the cross for the sake of all human kind. He had been through different hard ties that made him question his purpose in this life. He indulged in many activities that are displeasing in the eyes of God, in bid to find peace but to no avail. In this book readers are exposed to the facts about Jesus Christ and his purpose in the lives of humanity. Lucas encourages readers to find out who Jesus is and strengthen their personal relationships with Him.
After my scare with my heart, I think I am slowly returning to normal although I am still extremely ill. I know, my life must go on. On a serious note, I took the downtime to get much-needed rest and spent most of the weekend in bed reading. When I am ill, it doesn't mean I sleep and I can only watch so much television. This last weekend had me focusing on my faith. I questioned, "How can I be so sick?" I didn't want to move and then you know how your mind starts to question everything -- even God. Fortunately for me, I had the book "Wanted" by Ellis Lucas to keep me busy as his words healed my thoughts. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is suffering and for those who are struggling with their faith. This book will touch your soul. Thank you, Ellis, for sharing it with me. Now take a look at the book and then read the author's interview."
In Ellis's second book, he delves deeply into his profound faith and explains to the reader why he has had such remarkable turn around in his amazing life. He pulls no punches and just tells it all to us straight! I found this book refreshing!

80% Bible verses 15% 'by the way, buy the other book I wrote' 5% 'poor life choices are the devil's fault'
Overall, nothing I haven't heard from the homeless men on the street corners before (although, I don't believe any of them have asked me to buy their previous rants).
There's nothing new or particularly inspiring here.
The author generously uses his own experiences to share a message of hope with others who feel abandoned by society. He offers passages from the Bible, both Old, and New Testament, to support his belief in the all-encompassing love of God. He also cites up to date scientific evidence to verify events reported in the Bible.
I particularly enjoyed reading the true-life stories of people the author has met, including his wife, who are living out the message of the Bible in practical ways, by supporting those who have experienced rejection and hurt and feel ‘unwanted’. He also describes the successes he and others have had in taking their message to young people, to bring Jesus to them.
This is not a ‘preachy’ text. It is full of stories that illustrate the lessons. They are interesting and uplifting and the lessons are of love and compassion, but mostly hope. The author is generous in describing his dark days and experiences, but the message is ultimately one of hope and compassion.
The author also cites Satan, evil spirits and demons as very real, physical presences in the world, and this may be difficult for some modern-day readers to fully accept, but even without that acceptance. Although rooted in the past, the message is absolutely relevant in today’s society. I believe this is an excellent book particularly to help those who minister to others. It will provide them with evidence for their own faith, as well as providing lessons and material for them to use when ministering to others.
The additional material; references, information and author’s brief biography at the end are interesting and only adds weight to his words.
