Savoring Mila

One night.
That was all we had, all we needed.

Mila
It was a chance meeting in a New York City club while I was in town for a wedding. Our paths were never going to cross again.

But I lied.

One night wasn’t enough.

Lyric
New York City was my dream. Work for the best tattoo artist in the country, build up my own client list, then start my own ink shop wherever I wanted.

Then I met Mila.

One night. That was what we agreed.

But even as I was telling her goodbye, I was already planning our forever.

Savoring Mila was the third book in the Angel’s Halo MC Next Gen series by Terri Anne Browning. It was also a crossover with her Rockers Legacy series.

Lyric Thornton was the son of Jesse and Layla Thornton (Book two, Rocker series, The Rocker that Savors Me). He was a tattoo artist and had just gotten his dream job in New York. He was out celebrating and met Mila. He knew it was love at first sight and he would do anything to make her his forever.

Mila Masterson was the daughter of Willa and Spider Masterson (Book two, Angel’s Halo MC, Entangled). She was beautiful, independent and sassy. She met Lyric while visiting New York for a wedding and felt a strong connection, but it was a one night stand in a city she rarely traveled.

I really enjoyed Lyric and Mila’s story. So much so that I wanted more. I wanted more detail and more development. They were perfect and I enjoyed the plot, I just craved more.

As a cross over, Browning brought in both crews that we’ve come to love, both new and old, from The Demon’s Wings Rock Band and the Angel’s Halo MC. It was an interesting mix and was amusing to see how the personalities meshed.

Browning took us through Lyric and Mila’s intro and development while simultaneously building Monroe’s story. Monroe was one third of the triplet team of Mila, Monroe and Maverick. Browning left us in a semi-cliff hanger which will conclude with Monroe’s story in Surviving His Scars.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Savoring Mila is book three in the ‘’Angels halo MC next generation’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline enjoyable. This story is Mila and Lyric’s story who we have met before. Lyric is Jesse and Layla’s from the rocker series’s son. And obviously we have met Mila in the other books in this series. Lyric and Mila met by chance in a nightclub in New York. Both of them thought one night together would be enough but it definitely wasn’t!
The chemistry between Mila and Lyric is clear to see and I loved them as a couple. I thought that they made a cute couple. I liked how determined Lyric was when it came to getting his woman. I also loved that he stood up to spider.
I really liked the ending for this story but I wanted more.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series. I need Monroe’s story now!

Savoring Mila has us crossing into two worlds with the Angels and Demons and really what more could you ask for with this mix. Lyric and Mila’s story is emotional, passionate, witty and action packed. With just one glance, one touch and one night these two formed a connection that could not be ignored. The chemistry between these two radiates from the pages and wraps around you tightly. A story filled with angst and drama that has you on the edge of your seat and your heart in your throat. The love between these two is strong and Lyric shows us just how hard he loves when he finds his one. Their story is one that will have you enamoured and unable to put it down.

Spoiler alert.....

Let me begin by saying I love this author, and especially this series. But this one was not my favorite.

Positive : I loved getting a peak in the upcoming books. I loved the family dynamics and I loved Lyric. I loved the humor, and the protectiveness of the fathers and brothers.

Negative: I did not like the h in this book. I don’t like insta love and have a hard time feeling the connection between the characters if they fall in love so fast. I think it’s dumb they moved in together so soon and I did not believe it when they had no issues at all between the two of them ( except for a misinterpretation from the h). I just did not buy the love story. Ofcourse they forget the condom and nobody thinks that’s dumb or irresponsible but everyone is over the moon with the baby. I hate it when authors use this trophe. It’s overdone and cliché. So to sum it all up, I did not like the pace of this romance.

I will start out by saying my anticipation for this book was not as strong as it is for Monroe’s book. I think because the introduction of Monroe‘s story was already introduced it never really gave Mila and Lyric a chance in my mind.Others may disagree. This story was so easy, for lack of a better word, compared to the dark intriguing story that is to come with Monroe. It’s hard to even say I didn’t like this book because it’s not the case. I have followed these characters from the first rockers novel and I love them all. I understand this was a story that needed to be told. Here’s my review 👉We knew from the very beginning that Spider Masterson was going to be a tough cookie when it came to his little girls finding the one true love. He wasn’t just going to sit back and let fate take his little girls. However, Lyric didn’t grow up in an easy family. He knows how to stand up for what he believes in and for those that he loves. Jesse didn’t teach his kids to be little wimpsAnd we know Emmy wouldn’t let that happen either. So to see Lyric stand up to the big bad Masterson I will admit stoped my heart a little bit. It had me shouting “boy sit down before he kills you” but Lyric surprised me. He stood up to the big bad wolf and with the help of the lion tamer, Willa, came out unscathed. To be completely honest without Willa nobody stood a chance 😂😂 I think it is safe to say even though she was a very small part of this book without her this happily ever after would not have ever happened. At the end of the day this is a great read. It was great to catch up with these characters again. And from my earlier statement you can obviously tell I am overly excited and the anticipation is strong to see Monroe’s love story with Gian unfold. Without those inputs in this book their story cannot truly be told so read this book. So you are caught up and ready for the explosion that is about to happen at the end of March. Terri the build up is real and I applaud your beautiful mind and creativity that creates these storylines.

I was not a fan of this book, for me the main characters had no real chemistry. I've never read the Halo's Angels series but I am a big fan of the Rockers' series. Mila is next generation Halo's Angel and Lyric is Jesse and Laylah Thornton's son. They both meet at a club in New York, and it's clear that they're attracted to each other and she leaves the club with him. The one problem I've always had with this author is the fact that she doesn't know that condoms exist. In every book from the Rockers' series, all the women just get pregnant and not have a care in the world. And they always use the pregnancies as a sort of leverage and I'm not a fan of that. Every time couples have sex, they don't have to get pregnant and have babies. Mila is 18 years old, she just met Lyric and they don't use a condom, it's like diseases don't exist. Mila sneaks out and they don't see each other for months. Lyric decides to move to Mila's town and open his own tattoo shop and get his girl. They find each other, she tells him she's pregnant and he's happy about it because Mila is the one. There was another storyline in the background but that's part of the Halo's Angel series, so that was a bit distracting. But all the adults were OK with the fact that Mila and Lyric were having a baby and she was just starting college. I wasn't a big fan of this story and I didn't like Mila. It was nice to read about what was happening with the rockers' families and the kids.

5 stelle

It's review time 🎧
Warning ⚠️ : MC'ish story, first love, surprise pregnancy.

Narrator score🎧 ; both narrator's are a first for me, and they were good.

Level of steam🔥: the sex in the story happened but not too much, and some of it was kinda evasive

Level of anxiety and sadness0😱😢: the book wasn't sad till the end, it was a bit sad in the end though.

The book itself📖: the book tells us the story of Mila the daughter of an MC leader, and it goes from a one night stand to a surprise baby, love from first sight, to a kidnapping drama.... i think the book was cool, too much info for such a short story but it was nice for what it was.

This is the kind of story I like to read from this author. I was getting worried after the other 2 books in this series.
Mila and Lyric had a connection the minute their eyes met. They have a one night stand thinking it will be just one night but they can't stop thinking of each other. When Mila escapes in the middle of the night Lyric makes plans to find her.
Unbeknownst to him she shows up and catches him with what she thinks is another woman without getting the whole story.
When his time is up for his training he packs up and heads out to find Mila. It's not long before he finds her but it's not an easy road because her dad is on him and danger is right around the corner.
I enjoyed this book but I did find it a tiny bit laughable the way Lyric stood up to Spider. Which he was a moment away from wanting to kill Lyric. I do wish I could remember what the big secret was that Spider did for Emmie though.

1. I originally bought the book “Loving Violet” and in the blurb, it was recommended that “Savoring Mila should be read before Loving Violet to get the full experience of the series”. However, although “Savoring Mila” was supposed to be a standalone, there were way too many characters mentioned in the book with the assumption that the reader already knew who they were, what their relationship was with the main characters and their back story.
2. “… needed to be balls deep inside her wonderland.” 🤣🤣🤣
3. I’m at 48% and I still feel like I walked into the middle of a movie and I’m trying to figure out what I missed.

It’s still in her to write a great story

I feel like TAB started to write stories because she got to be so much in demand. She’s a great story teller, but lately the books in the Next Gen series have felt detached in some way. However, Mila and Lyric’s story had been a breathe of fresh air for this reader. TAB brought out all the emotions and made the characters feel real. I have have missed feeling like I’m truly friends with these characters, like I did with her first three series. My only complaint with this book, is that it wasn’t long enough.

This book was good it reminded me of Spider and Willa and Layla and Jessie and how their love was instant and at first site. It was a good combination of the rockers and the bikers because Lyric had no idea how rough of a world Mila grew up in until the worlds collided. I will say that the drama at the end was too easy for this authors standards but the ending leaning into Monroe's book was good. I loved all the times that Lyric was able to take the big guy down a notch. I look forward to Monroe next.

Wow. I loved this book. I didn't put it down until I was done. In true Terri fashion she gives us a book that will monopolize your days and nights because the story will consume you from beginning to end. I love when a book has me so immersed that I don't realize I've come to the end until I try to swipe to the next page but there are none left, that is how you know you've just read a 5-Star Masterpiece! I can't wait for the next. Thanks so much for the escape.

Amazing!!

I have been a big fan of Terri-Anne since the begining of the rocker series. Seeing all of her characters grow and flourish like they have is awesome. Jesse Thornton from The Rocker Who Savours Me was my favourite and still is today, loved seeing him as his badass self once again. Can't wait to see what else this next generation brings, I haven't read one story I haven't loved, and fyi I love the rocker, MC crossover.

Savour this one as long as you can🤩

OMG, I wish this book was longer as it was just outstanding❣️Mila and her siblings go to New York City for Tavia’s wedding 👰 When they go out the night before the wedding, Mila bumps into Lyric and is immediately sucked in by his gorgeous eyes 👀

This story was fast paced and joined two worlds created by Terri brilliantly😍 Can’t wait to read the next book and absolutely recommend this series to anyone who hasn’t yet read Terri’s work❤️

So, I did not read Angels Halo at first .... but seeing Lyric in their next gen series made me rethink .. now am reading the connected books too ;) Obviously.

I absolutely loved the story of Lyric and Mila, he's a firecracker but a romantic for his girl and ready to go too to toe with her biker dad and more.

If you have loved other books by Terri you'll absolutely love this and the story is good too ... keeps you on your toes.

Binge reading? This is a good one to go with!

Fantastic Read!

I love how the author entwined all the characters from her prior books into the Next Generation. If you want romance, suspense, drama, mafia and mc in one, then this is the book to read. Only drawback, there is a cliffhanger and you need wait for the next book. Other than that, excellent read!

So good, and not nearly long enough

I loved that this story has brought both families together. Mila and Lyric were amazing together, and they were awesome on their own. I cant wait for the next book, just glad I dont have to wait too long.
I am very intrigued by G and Monroes story.

Fast read

I LOVED Lyric. And that this book combined demons and angels. It was great catching up with both series. This book was just too rushed. It was good, just a bit quick. I really can't wait to read about G. I have a feeling this poor guy has lived thru hell.
You should read the entire Rocker series and Angel Halos series to fully understand everything in this book.

This story is the best just because of Lyric. That man... The way he's with Mila from the first moment they meet... That what you call perfection.
I liked how Milas father, James “Spider” Masterson, reacted to Lyric. Okay. More correctly, I loved how Lyric reacted first time meeting his father in law, when Spider finds out about them. That moment. That alone, should prove to a father, his little girl is in safe hands.

Another great book

The possessive all consuming love and the swirling brown eyes makes me reminisce about Jesse and Laylas book so it was an excellent start to Lyric and Milas story. Drama, danger and protective dads all add to the fabulously brilliant book.

So good.

I've been waiting for this crossover and it didn't disappoint at all. I'm so hyped for the next book. I need Monroe's book. Mila and Lyric are amazing. Lyric is a lot like Jesse. I loved how he was with Spider as well.
