After only one coffee date, Luke Brewster can tell that Shaw Parker is the kind of woman that he’d like to get to know better. She’s smart, funny, successful, and beautiful. She seems to like him too. But a smooth courtship isn’t in the cards for the couple.
There’s someone out there stalking her, getting closer and closer with each passing day. They have no idea who he is or what he’ll do. They only know that he’s fixated on Shaw.
As the heat turns up on their romance, the stalker ups the ante and makes increasingly disturbing threats. Knowing that she’s in danger, Luke steps in, determined to keep the woman that he’s falling for safe. He’ll find out who is terrorizing Shaw and get them out of her life for good.
He’d better do it fast though because the stalker is losing patience, waiting and watching for the perfect moment to make Shaw his…and his alone.

3.5 Stars Luke Brewster’s sister sets him on a blind date with her girlfriend, Shaw Parker, which usually spells “Disaster”. Well in this case, Luke and Shaw click and begin dating. Their relationship is smooth sailing. They have mutual respect, honesty and sexual chemistry. Now if only Shaw could only get her mother to understand boundaries and if she didn’t have a stalker, life would be perfect. Luke and his security expert colleagues are there to protect Shaw. They are working together to find and stop this mystery person. I have to admit, I didn’t figure out the identity of the stalker until just before the big reveal. It’s always more entertaining when the storyline keeps me guessing.
I just loved this! Shaw and Luke were perfection! I will admit I guessed the villain fairly early, but I was still surprised to see that I was right. The mystery was interesting with lots of action and kept things exciting. I also loved that they were set up by Luke's sister and felt that was a cute twist. Excited for more in the series!
Shaw Parker, introvert advice giver, spends her days doling out relationship advice to her loyal online followers. At night, Shaw hangs out with her besties Taylor and Melissa. Not too much excitement happening there, that is until Melissa gets the idea to set Shaw up with her amazing, handsome older brother Luke. If he's so amazing, why is he still single? Right? Well, his job doesn't afford him much time to socialize, let alone find a woman willing to deal with his dangerous career of choice. It seems Shaw's career has put her in a bad situation with an online fan. Well more of a creepy stalker than fan. And he's rapidly escalating in the creepy/stalking area. That's right up Luke's alley. He knows how to deal with the bad guys and protection is his job, especially when it comes to someone he may be falling for. I LOVE THIS SERIES AND HOW IT INCORPORATES CHARACTERS FROM PAST BOOKS. WELL WRITTEN, ENGAGING STORYLINE FULL OF SUSPENSE AND INTRIGUE. FAST PACED RIGHT UP UNTIL THE LAST PAGE ! GREAT READ ! ! ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK ! ! !
Criminal case consultant Luke Brewster and social media personality Shaw Parker decide to take things slowly after having a great blind date. Shaw’s friends disagree about the attention she’s getting from one of her fans; Shaw sees the particular follower as a nuisance, nothing more. She’s a bit embarrassed when Luke offers to delve into it for her.
Instead of working a cold case to complete his JLJ interview, Luke and his partner are approved to work on Shaw’s issue as a glance tickles their instincts and Luke’s police experience says Shaw’s fan fits a stalker profile. As things heat up between Luck and Shaw, Luke’s certain the stalker has access Shaw’s unaware of.
I wanted to like this read more than I did. For my taste, the nicely drawn leads didn’t seem to have much chemistry and Luke’s partner, Ryan, brought more light to the case than Luke. A plausible plot, fairly intriguing light mystery and good pacing were all positives. However, this outing is recommendable for a rainy or snowy afternoon. Rating: 3.5stars
Luke has just recently started working for a new company that helps small towns/counties deal with cases that they don’t have the resources for. On a day off, his sister persuades him to have coffee with a friend of hers😉
Shaw is introverted but has her own channel where she gives advice to others on a plethora of topics. Her friend persuades her to meet her brother for coffee, convinced that they will hit it off❣️
Luke and Shaw slowly get to know each other but unfortunately, Shaw has a “persistent” fan and when it’s clear this fan is getting to close, Luke steps in to help😁
A really enjoyable story and I’m usually really good at guessing who the person is, but I was honestly shocked to discover whodunnit☺️
A decent storyline with good characters perhaps not quite as interesting as the first book in this series but okay. Like is an ex cop and his sister persuaded him to go on a date with her friend Shaw these two have instant chemistry and quickly become close. Unfortunately she has a stalker who is escalating and Luke gets involved in trying to stop him eventually they find him and that's the twist in the tale. It doesn't take a genius to work out who it is pretty early in the story it's quite obvious and it does spoil it a little bit on the whole it's a fairly decent read.
Luke works as a law enforcement consultant and Shaw is a self-help professional. His sister thinks they make a good match and hooks them up. To their mutual surprise and delight, she's right. Their personal relationship builds slowly but unfortunately Shaw has a problem resulting in them have a professional one too - a stalker. The suspense builds as her stalker escalates and so does their relationship. I like this series and would like to see his sister get her own book but doesn't look like that's in the cards. A quick read with lots of action in the streets and between the sheets.
Loved this book. Luke was such a nice guy and very male at the same time and Shaw was a strong woman, I loved her. These couple was so good together. I have to admit I didn't expect the stalker to be her stepfather, I just thought of that option when he called her at the end because of her mother, it was really suspicious. And her mother, God, what a b*tch, I really hated her at the end, I wasn't really liking her but when she defended her husband even knowing he was the stalker and it wasn't the first time he did that, it went on full on hate
Luke was a cop but now he's working for Logan's agency. His sister sets him up on a blind date with one of her friends. Both are reluctant but agree to meet for coffee. Shaw is attracted to Luke right from the start and the feeling is mutual. Shaw works in social media and has gained a stalker. With Luke's help they set out to trap him. The storyline is engaging and makes for a nice read.
I loved this. Olivia Jaymes always knows how much is the right amount of suspense for me. Hot sexy alpha and suspense, the perfect combination. I loved how Luke was so calm and caring, he protected Shaw and she never felt smothered or less than him at all. The twists and turns of who could be the stalker were great, and kept me guessing right til the end. I also enjoyed learning about Ryan. I can’t wait for more of this series.
Olivia does a great job of mixing drama and romance! I especially loved the crazy family dynamics in this book. It always is a treat to see people overcome serious adversity.
Love the author anyway but this new series is amazing, this story gives you alot to pay attention to. Lots of options for the stalker and if you pay attention to the details you will figure it out midway but over all a great read. Highly recommend it.
Wow! Stalkers will go through enormous length to get near their victims. I cannot believe her mother is so naive that he can't see that her husband was only using her, she still stand by him. She will definitely regret it in the end. Eye opening.
Loving this series. I went from the first right to the second and now reading the thirds. All of the books grabbed my attention right from the beginning. Love the twists and turns. Great mystery and romance. It is never the person you suspect.
I read the trilogy of l 3 books. I love the stories and characters. I like it best when there is more character interaction between the books since we know they know each other. I’m looking forward to the next 3. The editor missed some typing errors but the stories are great.
Olivia has written another hit! I loved it. Story was great, characters were amazing. Plot twists...holy buckets! Didn't see that coming. Great book Olivia, keep it up!
Enjoying this series. The suspense twist and turns along with all the characters involved was great. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.
These two are really cute together. I suspected who the stalker was right away but it was fun to read this story to get there. I really did like Melissa the sister and hope she gets a HEA too.
That was really good. Lots of potential suspects. I figured out whodunnit way before it was obvious. Melissa certainly did her brother a solid. I like how things evolved with Luke and Shaw they were great together.
An introvert workaholic fmc who doesn't like attention. What's her occupation? Social media love guru🫡 Kinda guessed the culprit but still nice. The romance was sweet as well not cringe.
I love this series and the original series before it, Ms Jaymes has a unique talent for weaving threads of suspense and intrigue into a tapestry you never expected. Luke and Shaw just 'click' but can he keep her safe when his presence tips her fan from disgruntled to stalker? This will test Luke far more than the cold cases he is currently working on but can he save the day and get the girl?
