Was slightly disappointed in this book. Instead of receiving practical advice on how to become better at encouraging 3/4 of this book was more about the Theology of Encouragement, which is great, but then it rushed through all the practical advice, which in itself was more conceptual than practical.

At one point they list 9 reasons why we don't encourage, but I feel like the reason why I don't do it wasn't on there: I don't know what to say.

While I feel like I learned a lot about encouragement and the biblical basis for it, I honestly don't know if I actually learned how to be a better encourager.

This is a good little book to do with a partner or small group to help people be better at focusing on encouraging one another and how we use our words, in general.

I personally don't believer each strategy in this book is for everyone, but encouraging each other in Christ definitely is.
