Afterlife is an opulent Gothic nightclub that belongs in a big city, not in the small town of Evergreen Falls… Just like its forbidding owner does, Dominic Draven. Keira is a shy girl running from a horrific past, a girl who belongs in the shadows of a small town, a place where she can start a new life. However, this new life she craves so badly isn’t the one she is expecting. Not after Draven gets one look at her and quickly decides her fate. But which fate will Keira choose, a willing slave to the darkness inside him or a prisoner in his arms for all eternity? After all, Dominic Draven, isn’t what he seems and Afterlife isn’t just a nightclub…No, for Draven, it’s a castle he rules from. Warning: This book is amazingly addictive, with its dark mystery, haunting horror, seductive twists and one sexy dark lord that has the reader drooling every time the name Draven appears on the page!

Couldn't finish this series just wasn't for me

I normally love paranormal series, but halfway through the 3rd book I had to stop. Great characters but the same thing over and over. Mind blowing sex and Keira in trouble from some sort of demon. It got old quickly. Disappointing too, I was really excited about this series

I spent a week reading this and though I finished it, it was just an okay read for me. Wasn't thrilled at the homophobia bit, or sexism. This had potential but ultimately it just wasn't for me. I still pushed myself into reading it because it's been on my radar ages and I'm glad I read it. 3 ⭐.

I already wrote a review after reading book 1 in which I was not sure how to rate it and being able to finish the boxset. I did finish it and I'm glad I did as the books are definitely improving. The biggest problem the author has to my opinion is that she writes in too much details which make the reading go slow and could have done with out. It's a shame it makes people not feeling the need to finish it. Maybe with all the experience the author has built over the years she should consider rewriting the slow going parts. I'm all in for long reading hours but in this case I think the books would do better if they were reduced to less pages. It would probably improve the quality and need for the reader to carry on, finish and look forward to the next installment. I downloaded the second box set and hope to see a continuation of improvement.

Long read

I usually love these kind of books, but I had to force myself to finish it as I had already spent so much time reading it. I found Keira very irritating and that she acted more like a teenager than the age she should be. Draven was incredible controlling, and not in a nice way - very manipulative and almost abusive I feel. I felt she ended up being a naive and immature doormat more than anything. Poor editing and way too many capitalised words and exclamation marks. Found myself skipping loads of parts just to get to the end quicker. Such a shame as I wanted to like it with all the good reviews it has but this really was not for me, reading it just annoyed me too much. Can't see myself continuing with the rest of the series.

Toxic relationship

I had a hard time with this series... I only ended up reading 2 of the books. The relationship between the two main characters is so toxic. Every other page they are fighting followed immediately by makeup sex. I can't speak for others but I am over the books where women are treated poorly but accept it because they're so in love and "he's just so sexy"

Good

So I couldn’t stop reading because I love the story but I hate the FMC and the toxic relationship she’s fighting for.

Wow, this was an epic read in more ways than one!! I loved the story line revolving around a human girl, Keira, who finds herself immersed in a Prophecy, involving Angels, Demons, Fate and goodness knows what else!!!

Dominic Draven is the secretive owner of a nightclub called Afterlife, his reputation precedes him.... no one really knows much about him or his family, they tend to turn up for a couple of weeks here and there and they have like a cult following.

Keira is new to the town, having moved from England to live with her sister to try and restart her life after an horrific past experience, but one look at Draven and she is captivated with him, and vice versa, but she has no idea just what she has let herself in for!!!

Wow, these are long books, really long, very descriptive, which sometimes lost me I must admit and I ended up skimming some of the really detailed parts, but the story line was brilliant and captivating, very in depth. The world is very creative and I really loved how well this read.

I am definitely late to the table reading these, they are not new, there are lots more in this series and others for me to read after this, which I very much plan on doing, but will be taking my time with the length of the books and the time it takes to read them. But read them I will, I loved the story line, and am very eager to find out what happens next.

Definitely worth the read if you love a good PNR!

Dreading the book hangover when this series concludes!!!

Wow....wow....just wow my life is absolutely ruined because it is just not worth living with out my own draven hell either one will do also Jared sigurd and I have a real soft spot for lucius hell even pip is a lucky cow as she would say matey I live in books but nothing will ever compare to this series and I'm so glad it's not over because I would cry and I think I will just reread this series until I find my own draven and can you have a book orgasm because I think I had lots.... Never stop writing I've read thousands of books and I keep skipping this one because of the cover and I prefer other world books because earth I see enough of but you my new favorite writer have a talent unrivalled and my God how did you come up with the Oracle riddles your imagination has no bounds what I would give to have what you have pure poetry and I don't even like poetry lol I could live in this world for a lifetime there are endless possibilities to have spin offs so please don't stop I want to live this story till the bitter end then continue to the next generation and then the next you get me!!! Thank you for writing this!!!!

Epic

Okay,I wasn't sure what I expected when I began reading the first book. It held my interest at first chapter as the Myth and Legends began building this world. Bit by bit, page by page the Characters were fleshed out, their roles hinted at and the story unfurled. The usual myths and human behaviors are there but are so much more. The bonding of the characters strong. Some might consider the love the main characters develop are too obsessive and unreal. I think everyone wishes to be cared for like Draven does for Keira but in reality we know it isn't possible. But the insights into human beings and attempts to highlight the spiritual beliefs that unconditional Love, goodness and Faith in what we can't see, trust, enables us to imagine that it could be, motivates us to keep reading. It let's us believe it is possible and to want it. That said, the plot and adventures are long. You get to the end with a cliff hanger and begin a new adventure. Very enjoyable read and hard to put down.

Omg what a read, I thought I’d have an issue as I’d read Transfusion beforehand but it didn’t. This seriously has a bit of everything, and I lost count of how many times I laughed, was shocked, thrilled, nearly crying and hot under the collar. I absolutely loved Dominic Draven even though his hot temper would drive most women mad the fact that Keira seems to be able to handle him makes him across as a really heroic character. Obviously the introduction to all the characters that I knew from Lucius’ world was great, but having all these worlds colliding was amazing. Some seriously dark moments, lots of scary times, the love scenes are not really crude but graphics in some chapters. The only issue I had was the grammatical errors throughout the series so far, more editing is needed but doesn’t take away from an amazing world which the author has created for us supernatural lovers. Highly recommend

I can barely breathe

Ok I read a book a day , I enjoy the book and move on to the next. However this box set has left me with so much more. I went along with every twist ,turn , up and down, I felt every emotion . I cried so hard that I could not see the words in front of me I laughed so hard my kids looked at me like I'd gone mad . I felt the love the warmth the injustice the pain and everything inbetween. When I would finally relent and go to sleep I would dream of Draven. My love for Keira is deep.
I've never felt like this with a book before I feel a little silly.
For potential readers heed my words you will not be disappointed with the depth of the drama , action , battles and the love that Keira is so fuelled by that not even the devil himself could stop her from any endeavour.
Lastly I am a little bit in love with Lucius too.
Thank you Stephanie Hudson for the literary ride of my life.

These books are killer to read. They are long drawn out drama with too much description in the wrong places. Why do we need to know exactly what the band at the club looks like? In detail down to what they're wearing? They have absolutely nothing to do with the storyline and are literally just walked by in the club. Why do we need to know exactly what the caves look like? My mind enjoys filling in the details and not being explained so much to. I found myself skimming so much. Then you come to a sex scene where I want the details and they're not to be found anywhere. Do men really graze their fingers over women's lower lips that much? That's never happened to me. It happens in almost every exchange here.
Our main character flips out and misconstrues everything that Draven does. I mean come on. Why is she fighting so hard for someone who wants to just possess her and doesn't change at all through 4 books?
All that being said, I want to know what happens in the end of it all, but don't have it in me to read ALL 12 books.

Also, long live the vampire king!!

Fabulous storylines!

Fabulous storylines and characters. These books grab you and keep you enthralled. I loved most of the characters with the exception of the two leads. He was gorgeous, but too over-the-top dominant and closed-minded for me. I liked Lucius and much preferred him to Dravin.
I was also distracted from reading smoothly by all of the errors in grammar, sentence structure and punctuation. I had to keep stopping to re-read sentences to figure out what was meant. There were some consistent errors in word choices that were annoying. Jealousy, not jealously; the difference between there was and there were. I am wondering if these books were actually written in another language, and translated into English.
I do think they're well worth the effort to read them. They're based on a very well-done and original world concept. They end on cliffhangers so be prepared.

Truthfully, I wish there were half star ratings, as this book is a solid 4.5. The world building and character development are both great and improves as the books continue. The story and lore is well thought out, and gives purpose for key characters. I appreciate the singular pov through Kiera's perspective, as it allows the readers to truly immerse themselves into the story and discover things/information when she does. It compels the reader to continue through the story, to be surprised, shocked, even angered in real-time with Kiera. While the books stay away from pointless filler, there are times when descriptions become lengthy, specifically outfits and rooms/places. The few complaints I have are the overuse of some phrases, the falling into tropes of this particular genre, and the sometimes cringey writing/situations/wording. All in all, despite some very minor complaints, the first three books have me interested enough to continue on the next three books.

I did not finish. This book is SLOW. I got to about chapter 25 before giving up.

The author is very, VERY coy about giving the back story in a full and complete way. The info is drip fed in between events that don't seem to drive the plot forward. Main character has had some sort of past trauma and 'doesn't date,' has what can only be assumed to be self harm scars on her arms but is not explicitly stated, may have some sort of paranormal superpower allowing her to see 'demons' or she might just be mentally ill. I feel that by chapter 25, I should have a basic handle on who the main character is and what the backstory is. But I don't. And this moves SO slowly that I'm not even hooked or interested in finding out more.

This series is insane. In the sense I have never read such a LONG book and there’s 4 back to back. Not my usual genre which is probably why I’m enjoying it. I question the length of the books but there’s very little fluff in between the ridiculous life of Keira. It’s a whirlwind of a series filled with drama, beautiful men and women, it’s like the Bacardi advert on speed and demonic lifestyle. It’s a complex book so u have to be focused so u can understand the crazy plot of gods, kings, Heaven and hell and vampires/werewolves in between.

Shout much

The storyline of this set is excellant. The written word not so much, kazzys character is rather weak, very weak actually. In today's novels the heroine is always much much stronger and stands up for herself and Deos Not spend half her scenes crying, crying, crying!!!. Dominos shouts so much, I mean heros don't shout, but he can't seem to stop. The stories with that other guy, one of the kings under Draven, he never shouts. Heroine is strong. This set reads like a 1990s series.

This series (book 1-4 so far) has been hands down the best books I have ever read in my life. Full of suspense and mystery combined with incredible passion and top it off with so much humor. I could not put the books down. She introduces them as addicting, and holy cow she was not kidding. I am so excited to read all of them including the ones she wrote about the characters after the first 12. I think I will be so upset when I am finished them all so I hope they never end. Why they have not made this into several movies is beyond me!!

Amazing. And it just keeps going!

This series is a real rollercoaster ride. Beautifully written with so many twists and turns throughout. I’ll be honest there were times when our protagonist frustrated me by seeming to shy or weak, but reading through and watching the character grow is amazing and wouldn’t have worked without the frustration at the start. A really compelling read.

A major roller coaster ride

I love the interaction between Dominic and Kiera. Also the time she spent looking for him was heart breaking. But her collection of bad boys takes the cake. Getting into and out of trouble with help from certain people who shall not be named. Lucious is just the best along with pip. Her journey is one fraught with danger and peril. I like how she grows through it all.

OMG

Simply brilliant. I have been glued to these books from the first page and stayed up until the wee hours of the morning, until I could barely keep my eyes open any longer.

The characters are so rich and well created, you either love them or hate them, and who wouldn’t love having a man like Draven in their lives? Phew, it’s getting warm in here lol. So wonderfully written, exceptional story that grips you and won’t let go. A must read for sure.

Not great. The girl is damaged and preyed upon by the supernatural male. His name is even Dom and it starts out ok with him caring for his sub as long as she obeys but starts to get more and more worrying. He punishes her because another person fancies her and the supernatural storyline wasn't enough to cover the deeply damaged way he behaved. I read 50% in hope it would turn out he was in fact the bad guy but it didn't look likely so I've quit. Not for me.

Afterlife Saga books 1 to 4

What a journey this book took me on. It was very descriptive and took me ages for it all to sink in. I had to reread chapters.
But it was fantastic. The characters and the storyline were fabulous, and it stayed in your mind. I had to read lighter books in between the books to help clear the brain but was thinking of this story all the time. Very emotional and adventurous. Loved it.

I’m hooked for life

I’ve seriously never enjoyed books more than the ones read so far from this author! I can’t stop, I live the characters, the author writes about them in a way that means you can’t help but care for them and I’m literally torn after reading book 4 but I can’t stop now.

It was good!

I enjoyed reading this novel, although my emotions felt like yo-yo. I was actually yelling at the story at some point. Then I switch to being happy and laughing. There were alot of WTF moments. I couldn't put it down cause I wanted to find out what happens next. Now I'm ready to read the next part.

Impresssiive!

Each book took Kiera deeper into Dominic Draven's underworld of Demons and Angels! This adventures were exciting and frightening. She sacrificed her heart and soul for Dominic Draven's love. But the Fates denied them their happy ending. No matter how it broke the both of them in two. Can't wait to start book 5.

Disappointing - Somewhat

I couldn’t wait to start this series but disappointed to say there was so much potential for this to be great but it was only ok. A lot of repetition and really a lot of filler. Like the author was trying to stretch out each book. The most annoying was Keira’s crying. She cried through half of each book. Not sure if I will continue with this series.
