I really enjoyed this PNR version of Alice in Wonderland. There were many twists and turns and the author kept me wanting more through the whole book. This book starts out darker, but becomes light by the end. I really enjoyed seeing Bethany & Rory's relationship blossom throughout the book. I would recommend this to anyone who like PNR and fairy-tales alike.
Another one in the series that's a single partner. Alice in wonderland with vampires. Dual POV, not much plot and mainly sex. Got a little annoying after 70%, every chapter was a time skip or read like an epilogue.
This story was an amazing twist on the classic fairytale Alice in Wonderland. The Red Queen was a reasonable, good queen and her handsome suitor was an upstanding male. It was an interesting take on vampires and magic in Wonderland. I was completely captivated by this story!
I'm not really a fan of Alice in Wonderland but I found myself really enjoying this book a lot. Bethany finds her mate in her assassin Rory and together they save Wonderland from the White Rabbit. Unlike the other books this is not a reverse harem, which is nice. This is sort of like a erotica/retelling/PNR. There is a lot of world building for a potential series, but also gives you everything you need for a standalone.
I did enjoy this story, it was a good PNR with Alice in Wonderland characters. I loved the overall storyline, that Bethany is he Queen that needs her fated mate to come into her powers. The white rabbit is determined to rule over the whole kingdom by any way he can. I felt that the world building, even though was detailed, just felt disjointed. I seemed like a mix of old world but there were modern bits thrown in but I could get my head around the mixture. Bethany and Rory were good characters, I would have liked to get to know them more but everytime they were together they ripped off their clothes and had sex. A bit more conversation would have helped with character building for me.
This book was pretty good. I liked Bethany, although she was little back and forth sometimes. Rory was not my favorite main male character. He was a little rough around the edges on personality. I'd like to see him built a little more. The storyline was interesting and I enjoyed it.
*WARNING* story contains explicit adult content I'm not quite sure what to say about this one. One one hand, it's unlike others, but it boils down to one of MANY "Alice in Wonderland" like stories. There were a few editing errors, but not to bad. I especially liked the white rabbits roll in this story. I guess I'm just kind of tired of the Bear constant remake tellings of the same fairytales.
I liked Capturing a Heart. It had different POV, and was somewhat a darker romance filled with vampires in Wonderland! Finally a book where Alice is the bad guy! There were a few parts that did make me laugh too.
First book I have read from this series. I really enjoyed reading this. Great story and story line. I plan on reading more from this group. Great. Book can't. Wait to read more from you.
When wonderland gives you vampires! Hell yes! Blood, love and kicking a@@, I love it! Vampires are one of my favorites to read and I feel like I got it all with this book.
