Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. Visit my webpage at insatiableink.squarespace.com and leave your comments or ideas for future books. Enjoy!
I'm not going to lie, Zoe drove me nuts in this one. I hated how the team had to drag every nugget of info out of her. I get it once, she didn't know them, wasn't sure if she should trust them, but it happened over and over again. Then towards the end, Zoe made a move that was so stupid and endangered everyone. It made sense to me when Fitz went off on her, she had it coming for all the stupid moves she made. Sure they made up by the end, but at this point, I feel like Fitz could have done better.
Zoe was yet another ridiculous lead character, I don't understand why the author goes back to that type again. I dont think having a lead character endangering herself with no plan when she has a team of trained professionals that would help her shows an independent woman at all. I also didn't like how he supposedly screwed up bc he told her the truth about how stupid she was being. Its books like this one that made me stop reading this author previously, I decided to give it another shot but between these past couple I may not continue.
From cover to cover, it's nothing but action. Very little sexual content. We have terrorists on the move again. There's an American woman who winds up dead while trying to prove her father was a hero several years before. Now her cousin is trying to find out if her cousin has turned traitor to the American people and cuddled up with the terrorists or what. Very good.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. This was a book of compassion, manipulation, betrayal, abuse, and taking care of yourself. I really enjoyed this story. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers.
These books just keep getting better and better! I'm never tired of reading about these characters and this incredible family Ms Kennedy has created😘 I have not been watching a lot of TV but if they made this into a series every week I'll be watching every week, but only if Ms Kennedy was the screenwriter LOL❤
This is the first book of hers that I was “meh” about and only because the heroine is horrible. Genuinely too stupid to live. If this was the first book of hers that I read, I wouldn’t read another just based on how awful the heroine was. I’m fortunately already indoctrinated cause I’ve speed read like 35 of her other books but damn.
What a book, I have read and loved all the my seals books up to this one. They were all great but this one just blew me away. Zoe was strong but made stupid decisions and Fitz was a great character. There was so much going on I just couldn’t put it down. I need a miss Irene in my life. Mary Kennedy will no be a one click buy for me xx
While I really loved Fritz’s character, I had a much harder time liking Zoe. She basically lied and made some very rash decisions throughout the whole book and then was hurt because Fitz was upset with her. I hated that he was the groveling to reconcile instead of her.
The story was interesting and did make you think, but I was really irritated by Zoe. Some of the things she did, just didn’t make sense. Sorry just a 4
I forgot why I didn't like this book so I read it a second time. Zoe was smart in how she escaped her kidnapping and stayed safe until help arrived. Then she was so stupid that I just wanted to smack her. She lied and didn't trust the Team. Then she decided to go look for a terrorist leader in his country. She put the team at risk for no reason.
