Zeb is the first book in Brynn Hale’s Rescued-Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series. In this charming love-at-first-sight romance, Ms. Hale introduces readers to Harley Maddox and Zeb Tucker. Harley is an adorable, petite beauty devoted to her nineteen-year-old younger gay sister, Nelly. Zeb fits the bill of the ultimate mountain man. At six foot three, he is muscular and rugged. When he meets Harley, it is during a horrendous rainstorm. She is on a mission to retrieve her younger sister from a campsite. The road is closed, and Zeb is at the roadblock. Instantly, he is smitten. Harley reminds him of a woodland fairy. He will escort her to safer ground, but she has a mind of her own. Her love for her sister moves her forward. An angry torrent of river water threatens to take out the bridge and Harley is trapped. Zeb rescues her just as her car falls into the raging river. Once on safe ground, Harley and Zeb are so aware of the electric chemistry between them. Will Harley reunite with her sister? Will Nelly be safe? What happens to Zeb and Harley? You must read this book to discover their journey.

Ms. Hale penned a delightful and sweet love-at-first-sight romance. In this character driven readers follow their romantic journey. We see how these two evolve and address their vulnerabilities. I enjoyed Ms. Hale’s use of dialog and descriptive language. Through the characters conversations and their internal dialogs, readers get a perspective of their backstories. Readers cannot help but like these two lead characters. This was an enjoyable read. Well done, Ms. Hale.

Harley is coming to pick up her sister and her friend from a campsite when she's stopped by cops. The weather is getting bad and she isn't going to be able to go through. She ignores what Zeb says and tries to go anyways and ends up needing recusing herself. When Zeb saves her from going out in a rush a water like her car he reads her the riot act. She is upset and knows what she did was wrong but she was worried for her sister. Harley ends up staying with Zeb and they later learn that her sister made it somewhere safe. Sparks fly between Harley and Zeb and soon they can't keep their hands off each other. What happens when the weather clears enough for her to leave? Will Zeb convince her to give him a chance?

This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. the chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Loved this start to a new series! It's a spin off of the Diamond Ridge Mountain Men, featuring the brother of Wyatt from book 3. Zeb is the Sheriff of Diamond Ridge Mountain, and meets Harley in the middle of a horrid rainstorm. He's closing down the mountain - she's determined to get to her stranded sister. One impulsive decision later and Zeb must rescue to curvy beauty from being washed away with a bridge. They get one glorious night together before reality intrudes. But they bared more than their bodies that night, and now must find a way to have a life together. Full of surprising depth, steamy scenes, and heartfelt emotion, this story is well worth reading!
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Harley's is headed up the mountain to rescue her sister, Nelly and her partner, Rebecca. She is stopped by a sheriff and told to turn back the water is rising to high making it dangerous. When she doesn't follow him, Zeb goes back for her and saves her from the river flooding her car. He cuffs her and takes her back to his cabin to ride out the storm. There they both realize they feel connected and wanted by the other. Like the ending!

This is a wonderful spin off to the Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series, this novella is well-written with a fast-paced instalove storyline. Zeb has to go rescue Harley after she drives off to rescue her sister and gets suck in an overflowing river. The chemistry between Zeb and Harley is sizzling hot, both characters are incredibly likable and relatable, loved Harley's sass and Zeb definitely a wonderful alpha.... loved it!!!

Simple and cute romance

Good romance which has a beginning full of action, but then, I had the impression that the "I love you" was a little too fast to arrive.
Harley insists on picking up her sister who is camping while floods are forecast. Despite the sheriff Zeb's ban, she tries to cross a bridge and ends up in danger. He saves her, and he shelters her when a very strong attraction develops immediately between them.

Wow

Like ok I read the Diamond Mountain Men books first. They were all amazing. The rescued diamond mountain men are just a flipping amazing. Yes I know this is only the first book. But boy was it awesome. Zeb meets Harley during a rainstorm up in the mountains. Chemistry starts but so does disobeying. Harley is there to pick up her sister. But one night of passion with Zeb could change it all. It was hot and I even cried a bit. I loved the story 100%.

A good short story

I enjoy books that make me visualize what's written. I think I don't have enough imagination to think things up, but I do have it to visualize things I read. Probably left brain, right brain stuff. I visualized the storm, the flooding and how she got out of the car. The excitement of twins being born and a romance that almost didn't happen. Overall it was a good read, thanks. This is a quick insta love story. This is the story about Haryley and Zeb. The story is a steamy read, the characters have sizzling chemistry. This is the first book in this Rescued-Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series and I am hooked. I can't wait to read more from this series. A must read.

Flood

Big rain storm roads closing trying to get to sister and blocked. Sheriff tell her to turn around and follow him, she dont get stuck on bridge water up to tires , he comes back, pulls her through window car washed away. She scared him he yells and she fight back. Takes her to his place and they get to know each other,chemistry is big and hot.

Great book.
Love these short stories can't get enough of them.
They make you want to keep reading to get to the end.
Zeb knew what he wanted but didnt want to act on it until the day he did and Harley felt the same way but didnt want to leave her sister, but she changed her mind and decided she wanted the same thing.

Headstrong Rescued

I loved the opening of this book. The meet cute really got me involved. I couldn't believe the "I know better than you" attitude of Harley over Ranger Zeb. She put both their lives in danger trying to be there for her sister. Luckily she got a man out the sheer dumbness.

That book was sweet romantic and OTT. Just one tiny thing I did not like was the mentioning of plenty of women he had sex with, but that just me. Insta love and a HEA in the end. The hot older cop that fell hard and fast after being alone for quite some time. A nice read for a cozy afternoon hour.

So great! This author continues to amaze me. She writes the best short books. They don’t feel rushed and you get a whole story. Well written with just a few typos but nothing that distracts from the story. Great characters; I could have read a lot more of this.

I think this is the best insta-love story I have read. The heroine is a strong one. She doesn’t act like a damsel in distress. She acts like a real person and understands that he is a person who has been living his life just she has. I love the chemistry and the realness between them.
