Mountain Man Curvy Woman Instalove Suspense

Sunshine Day

Yes, my parents were hippies and named me Sunny Day.
And yes, my DNA makes me want everything to be butterflies and rainbows.
When a portion of my beloved Diamond Ridge mountains is going to be razed for an over the top spa and hotel, I’m not going to let it happen.
Maybe I shouldn’t have climbed such a tall tree.
And now I’m dangling by a rope… and it’s lightning in the forest.
This isn’t good, but I bet he is.

Mark Cormack

I go by Mack. A remnant from my Delta Force days.
But my job as a forest ranger is nothing like those high-pressure rescues.
Until the blonde with a heart as big as Montana is hanging by a string and my talents come in handy.
We have to take shelter from the storm.
One thing leads to another and I’m wondering if she’s cast a spell on me.
This spunky, love-filled vegan is the woman I never knew I needed in my life.

Up a tree with the wrong rope

This book made me laugh and also want to snuggle in. Sunny Day, real name Sunshine Day - yep her parents with hippies, is a true nature lover and conservationist. Part of Diamond ridge Mountain forest is being clear cut to make way for a marble mammoth spa. Sunny is determined to stop this work and save the trees and animals. So early one morning she climbs high up a tree and stays there, no coming down for his girl. Now what you have to realize is that she "learned" how to climb the tree by YouTube videos..............not the greatest source as it turns out she is using the wrong type of rope. Ranger Mack, Mark Arthur Cormack, is an ex military man who became a Ranger for the Diamond Mountain Park and Forest Authority. He is asked to try and get down the young woman who is up a tree and is throwing pinecones and trail mix down at anyone who approaches her. While the squirrels are loving it the men have had to stop work for the day.
It turns out that a clothesline rope will not hold a person up a tree for a day and the rope begins to break. Mack goes into action rescuing Sunny and getting her back onto the forest floor in the funniest scene in the whole book. But just as they are down the weather changes and soon they are fleeing in Mack's truck to the nearest safety cabin, barely making it. There they will have to spend the night and boy what a night it is!!! But the morning brings some more problems and when Sunny flees the cabin it will be up to Mack to rescue her.......and more than once. Plus add in some handcuffs and it gets even more interesting.

This story is really well written and very entertaining. It has characters and situations which are fun, interesting and kept my attention the whole time. My only issue is the number of proofreading errors I found while reading this short story. What to me could have been 5 stars is instead 4 stars because of this. The author needs to do a better job at ensuring these are corrected prior to publication. I would recommend this book as long as you are okay with having some proofreading errors.

Mack is a Forest Ranger that is called in to help out when a construction team fail to bring a rebellious and spunky activist to heel. Sunny is dead set against the beautiful forest being ripped apart to make way for a luxury spa. With the aid of a totally unprofessional rope, she has been sitting in the next tree to be chopped down, throwing pine cones at the workers.
When Mack arrives, he can see that her rope is little more than washing line and Sunny is dangerously close to taking a nosedive. There’s a fierce storm on the horizon too, so he knows time is of the essence to rescuing Sunny, despite her not wanting to be rescued or realising that she needs to be. Despite his job, Mack understands Sunny’s point of view and knows he can help her much faster if he doesn’t tell her he’s a forest ranger.
When they come eye to eye on safe ground, the two of them are drawn to each other. Mack may have rescued Sunny, but Sunny is about to rescue him. As they seek safety overnight in one of the mountainside emergency cabins, the temperature between them is scorching.
This is an entertaining short and steamy insta-love story that is a great addition to this ruggedly handsome mountain men’s series. Loved it!

Mark (“Mack”) Cormack is an ex-military Forest Ranger. He is asked to intervene when a construction team, preparing to rip up a section of the Diamond Ridge Mountains to build a luxury spa, comes under attack by a crazy woman named Sunny Day (born to hippie parents, if you didn’t live through that period) who has gotten up into a tree and is hurling pine cones down at the crew to stop their destruction. The rope she used and is depending on is not substantial, and a storm with lightning is coming in quickly. Mack needs to get her down from the tree without telling her he is a Forest Ranger, which might make her not trust him. And as they are talking, the strands of her nylon rope begin to snap one by one.

They have to spend the night in an emergency cabin to escape the storm, where their strong attraction draws them to each other. But how will Sunny react when she finds out Mack sort of misled her about who he worked for? Will they listen to each other and come to an understanding that will make a difference – a little yellow birdie told me they just might!

Mack is the third book in Brynn Hale’s Rescued-Diamond Ridge Mountain Men series. I enjoyed this instant-love romance story of Sunshine Day and Mack Cormack. Sunshine is a spunky activist. To save the forest from being destroyed by developers, she climbs into a tree as part of her protest shutting down the day’s work. Developers seek help from the forest rangers. Ranger Mack Cormack, a former Delta Force veteran, gets the call and responds. There is an instant attraction. Sunny is precariously stuck in the tree. Mack, using his training, climbs and tree. While engaging in his rescue, they are attacked by a tiny yellow bird protecting her nest. Once safely down, it becomes apparent that a storm ensues causing them to take refuge in a secluded ranger cabin. Mack likes Sunny. He wants to help her, but she broke the law. Mack faces a dilemma. What will he do?

Ms. Hale does a remarkable job in this series. She introduces readers to wounded lead characters and uses a character-driven plot to tell their story. I appreciate how Ms. Hale uses dialog, point of view, and descriptive language to move her plot. The scene with the yellow bird attacking them in the tree is priceless. Likewise, the scenes capturing their stay in the ranger’s cabin are realistic. The dialog between Sunny and Mack helps to endear readers to them. This is the perfect book for a cozy Sunday afternoon read. Way to go, Ms. Hale.

This is another short fun read from this author who is making a mark for herself in this genre she is fast becoming a go to author for me.

We have met Mack in previous books in this series and now he gets his own story We learn that his name is twofold and comes from his time in the military from his initials Mark Arthur Cormack and also shortened from his surname He is a park ranger after fifteen years in the military and when he is called to bring an activist down from a tree He meets the one woman that is meant to be his Sunshine (Sunny) Day feels deeply about all things natural raised by hippy parents she will do whatever she can to stop the building of a spa. Can they find common ground and how will a little yellow bird bring them closer together

A very passionate activist
Short but good romance which brings together an activist and a ranger in a forest. Sunny objected to a construction but she did not take the necessary safety measures and when Mack comes to dislodge her, he must intervene urgently so that she doesn't fall. But for that, he must not reveal to her who he is. Barely saved, their attraction is obvious, and the weather conditions force them to confine themselves in a cabin.
Some parts of the story are quite funny, notably the rescue at the beginning which is both full of tension between them, but also a bit comical. The rest of the story is both warm and romantic with a background of environmental protection, but the story is somewhat predictable.

Back to Diamond Ridge!

Loved this story! Mack is a true mountain man, and I must say, see love interest is quite unique, starting with her name. Sunny Day! I love it! And they meet because she climbs a tree to protest a spa being built. He's the ranger that supposed to get her down, only since he's not in uniform, he doesn't tell her who he is. Add in a bird who is NOT happy to be disturbed, and the first meeting is one for the books! Sexy times abound, misunderstandings occur, and Mack and Sunny make the cutest couple! Can't wait to see what comes next!

Sunny is determined to make a change. Mack is on the opposing end. Will she forgive him? Will he find a way to make her see he isn't the enemy?

I loved how Sunny owned who she was and was determined to go the lengths to do what she needed to, even if it wasn't well thought out. I loved how Mack was determined to prove that he wasn't her enemy and how he found a way to help her out. Another steamy quick read by Brynn Hale.

This was another great story in the Diamond Ridge Series by Brynn Hale. Its book two and is Sunny and Mack's story. Mack is a forest ranger hoping to convince a young woman to climb down from a tree. Sunny is an activist trying to prevent a big resort from building on the mountain. Of course things kinda intense and awkward when Mack is bringing Sunny down from the tree. The chemistry between them was undeniable. This was a quick read that will definitely leave a smile on your face!

Very good

Mack and Sunny. Wow these two are full of surprises from the start. He is a Ranger and she is a activist trying yo save trees. Total opposites but that's what attraction is for. Neither one was hoping for love but can they hold onto a one night stand? Sunny is 100% a spitfire and Mack is built like a mack truck. Lol It was such a quick and exciting read. Packed with lots of steamy scenes and lots of rain.

Great book.
Sunny was saving the forest and tired herself to a tree. The workers tried to get her dien but couldn't. So Mack came in his off duty close and asked her to get down but she wouldn't but then the rope snapped so Mack got his climbing gear and got her down.
They had a magic night in the cabin but she found out he was a ranger. Mack had to go save her again and they lived happier ever after

Another good book

Enjoyed reading Sunny and Mack's love story. It certainly was an odd but exceptionally funny way to meet. If this is being read by someone planning on reading this story, you'll have to read it to find out how they met. Love how the story ends too. Overall another good book, thanks. Written by Cindy :)
