I really enjoyed reading books from this author and this book was great. This is a awesome book for romance readers a real quick instalove.
Nashara is a princess that lives in a castle with her evil step father after her mother passed away. She feels it very suffocating and is desperate to leave but the king has guards watching her at all times. Steele is a very strong, sexy, kind soul who is very protective of the people around him and his village. Steele is one of the rebels that tries to take back from the king what belongs to the village. How can two people from such different back grounds ever be together ? ( NO SPOILERS ) . You'll need to read on to find out.
This story was written beautifully and I really like this author writing style. This book is a real true love fantasy story with some red hot scenes. This book is an extremely quick read and I read in one sitting and I absolutely loved the characters. I really loved the epilogue and always feel it adds to the story and we see where everyone has moved on to.
Thank You to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

A bit of a Robin Hood vibe in this one from Shaw! But a willingly helpful Princess ready to help the villagers thrown in there to mix things up!
I loved that NaShara & Steele's story was a bit of a fairytale mixed with a feel good "for the people" vibe. It wasn't just their HEA, but one for everyone that took a chance and stood up against a tyrant King.
The other thing I really enjoyed was that the time period wasn't truly defined like true fairy tales...leaving the reader to determine what they think the time period looked/felt like.
The good king is long dead, his wife now too. The daughter left behind is heavily guarded by her late mother's second husband. He's cruel to those under his rule, unfeeling and uncaring of their suffering, taxing and demanding all of their coins to finance his lifestyle. His people are worse than destitute. Morale is at an all time low.
Steele's tired of watching his fellow townsfolk suffer. He takes action, leading a group of men against the king by robbing his treasury and giving it back to the townsfolk. A modern day Robin Hood who, by chance, meets his Maid Marian during the Harvest Festival. Maid Marian who happens to be the Princess NaShara.
NaShara's physical suffering isn't as great as the good townsfolk of Etexa, but the emotional and mental suffering is. Alone in the palace and the world, she longs for more, for the chance to live and be free. It comes when she boldly sneaks away from the palace and runs into Steele who, after one look and one touch, claims her with a kiss and a promise.
The relationship is insta-everything, exactly what I expected Ms. Hart to write; I was just wanting more character depth. However, the lack of it didn't lessen the story's beauty or its happy ending. It's a good story--quick, sweet, and with the right amount of sexy.
I need a to become a Princess!!! This is a beautiful story about how a villager and a Princess over took the kingdom.. Steal lived in the village of Etexa, his whole life.. His mom died when he was young and he went to live with his friend and they became like brothers... NaShara was born in the village, when she was 3 her dad died and when she was 7 her mother married King Randall.. King Randall is a nasty man, he put super high tariffs on all of the villages and the people where getting tried of them.. One day a Steal and his 4 friends started robbing the royal carriages to give the money back to the villages.. One Princess NaShara came to the Harvest Festival, where she runs into Steal.. NaShara runs away from him when one of Steal's friends interprets them kissing.. The next day the royal guards come and make an announcement about the Princess NaShara and King Randall wanting to find out who has been steeling from the royal carriages... Steal finally knows who his mystery girl is.. He steels her from the castle and the next day the royal guards come looking for her and Steal protects her and so does the villagers...
Shaws version of Robin Hood with a stollen Princess who is non too willing to be stollen away! Princess Nashara lives in a locked up life under the rule of her stepfather, the King of Etexa. She hates him and does not agree with his form of ruling the kingdom. The poor keep getting poorer to the point of hunger and he keeps getting richer on the backs of his people, until a band of thieves decide to take matters into their own hands...giving back to his fellow villagers and helping the village thrive again is Steeles priority...then he sets his eyes on Nashara , once he realizes who she is he decided he will take more than just the kings money... A very different book for Shaw Hart, but the love and the chemistry between the characters we’ve come to love in her books is still present. If you are looking for a change of pace and setting, still with the HEA we all love, go a head and give this book a read! You won’t regret it! A 10 year epilogue rounds off the book perfectly!
Long Live The King! Steele is a rogue thief that much like Robinhood steals from the rich and gives to the poor. NaShara is the Princess of Etexa. The connection between these two share is indescribable and immediate! The journey to their Happily Ever After is filled with adventure and love. A very Happily Ever After.
I don't typically connect with stories about royalty but Shaw Hart did a great job with this one. Short, steamy and to the point. This completely safe story has no abuse, cheating or ow/om drama and is a dual virgin tale. I can't wait to see what comes next. I'm hopeful that we will be getting Steele's friends stories and that we will catch a glimpse of how the village is prospering!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Steele is a thief. He steals from the rich to give to the poor. He hates the king and is determined to out the greedy man. Princess NaShara hates her stepfather, the king of Etexa. When NaShara sneaks out one night, she meets Steele and is instantly attracted. Steele wants NaShara as soon as he meets her. The chemistry between NaShara and Steele is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.
NaShara wasn't always a princess and she wishes she wasn't one now. Her stepfather was not a good husband or king. His people suffer under his rule as does she. Determined to get out and be among the regular people she would rather be with, she heads to the local festival. Steele and his friends are determined to rebel against a corrupt king. But stealing the tax money back is the last thing on his mind when he goes to the celebration and lays eyes on a beautiful girl. Shaw Hart knows how to tap into the little girl inside us all who dreamed of a happy ever after with a handsome thief. This gave me all the fairy tale feels, I loved it!
This insta everything book was cute. Ever since Nashara's mother passed, she has been lonelier than ever and her. Her Stepfather is a man who has been keeping her away, and she dreams of a normal life. When she sneaks out one night, a kiss with a strange man changes her life forever. Steele is trying to help his people survive, and when he meets Nashara, he knows he just found his everything, and when she disappears, he stops at nothing to find her again and her his. When he finds her again, he won't ever let her go even if he had to go through the king to get her back. Cute book with a guaranteed HEA. I cannot wait for more books from Shaw hart.
Steele and his 4 friends steal from King Randall's carriages that carry the money from taxes the king has imposed on the surrounding villages. The taxes keep getting higher and higher, while the people from the villages are starving. Princess NaShara has never liked her stepfather, the king, nor has she liked living secluded behind the walls of the castle. NaShara sneaks out of the castle to attend a fair at a local village. This is were she literally runs into Steele. After a shared kissed, the princess runs off and Steele is in love. There is some drama involving the king but I wont spoil the book. Steele couldn't be more sweet, caring, and of course alpha as always. Loved it!!!
no om/ow drama (other than the king) dual virgins ( which I always love)
Almost a Robin Hood retelling!!! A corrupt king, a stepdaughter basically locked in a tower, and a hero who ribs the king to return the taxes to the poor. Steele is an Aloha leading his friends to help the people of the village. Nashara is the princess who wants to escape and return to the village she grew up in before her mother's marriage. She sneaks out, they meet, he sneaks in!!!! Steamy scenes, hot, intsa love, no cheating!!! A classic story retold with a guaranteed HEA!!!
This book gives me Robin Hood-ish vibes. The hero is stealing from the king to provide for the villages. The heroine is trapped in the castle by the king and the king is a greedy man. The king doesn’t stop them from claiming each other and falling in love. They have a few obstacles in their way with the king but once they unite and become one they don’t let anyone stand in their way!!
I love a good, short romance book. And I especially love stories about or with a robin hood theme. Nothing more fun than outlaws robbing the rich to give back to the poor. :D
This book though... just didn't do it for me. :( Just wasn't a fan. I thought the characters kinda flat.
Though I did like the sexy scenes. Those were fun. Maybe people who are more into insta-love will like this one more than I did.
I will note: I absolutely adore the paperback edition! I am an absolute sucker for tiny 50-60 page paperback books. So tiny and cute! <3
This was a bit weird. I love Robin Hood and thought the set up would be awesome and then BAM! Suddenly Steele is like a sexual predator and Everly loses any character development she ever had. It was too short and there seemed to be no Substance. I know it’s a novella, but I think SH can do better. The bondage stuff I’m usually cool with, but Steele made it (and me) uncomfortable. Pretty disappointed.
This had potential but it was painfully bad. Everything went downhill after the first kiss scene and I was cringing the rest of the way until I had to stop after the ridiculous storming-the-castle moment. And I have to mention the disappointment of having a detailed scene of her going down on him, but when he goes down on her, it's basically fade-to-black. I couldn't finish this, so if their sex scene is more satisfactory, I'll never know. I do not recommend this to anyone.
This was a quick insatlove read it was hot and it was sweet at the same time. Nashara is lonely and miserable stuck in a Castle like a prisoner. Steele is a man that knows what he wants and he goes for it. And when they meet it was love at first sight. I Loved Nashara and Steele together the chemistry between them was so strong. I'm hoping that Shaw writes about the other boys in this story I want to know more about them.🤞🤞
Shaw did a great job with this super cute short read. NaShara and Steele were great together. These two come from different worlds but don't let it stand it there way. Steele may have stolen NaShara but you can't steal the willing! I highly recommend this book!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Awww.... that was sich a sweet and romatic lovestory (double virgins😍😍😍). The sweet and humble Robin Hood and the princess with the evil stepfather as a king. True love conquered the evil and the townspeople were finally free... So so sweet to read. No drama, a bit of action true love and a sweet HEA. Great for a cozy evening 👍
I liked NaShara and Steele's story. NaShara is a princess (though she doesn't really enjoy this life) and Steele is very much like Robin Hood and steals from the King (NaShara's stepfather) to return the money to the village to help out. Once he meets NaShara though, he's hooked on her.
The story flowed well and I liked the characters as a couple. It's completely safe and a short, fast read.
This story was a great switch up from our regular romance to an almost Robin Hood themed read. I liked that we still got the insta love at first sight from Steele and NaShara, and we got to see how they both came together with the kingdom at their backs. I will definitely be picking this one up again in the future.
A rebellion against an evil King. A chance encounter for NaShara, princess of Etexa, and Steele, a sort of Robin Hood village thief. Love at first sight helps bring the rebellion to a close. Shaw Hart does it again with this super sexy insta-love story!
I loved Steele and NaShara. Despite different lives and backgrounds, true Love conquers all, even selfish Kings. This Robin Hood type story had it all! Evil Kings, handsome thiefs with hearts of gold, a beautiful princess, action and romance.
SHAW HART is becoming one of my favourite romance authors. I loved ash mountain pack series and now i am unstoppable. This book definitely falls into royal romance genre, Nashara is a princess and Steele is the head of rebellion and they fall for each other on first sight. I enjoyed this book😊
I really enjoyed Steele and NaShara’s story. I enjoyed that it seem more of a time period piece and overthrowing a horrid king with the help of his stepdaughter. It made for a different kind of read from Shaw Hart but enjoyable none the less.
