When Alice follows a white rabbit into his burrow, she enters a fantastic world of weird and wonderful characters. Lewis Carroll’s classic fantasy story is faithfully retold in this gorgeously illustrated comic book adaptation. Beautifully detailed illustrations by Simona Bursi bring the eccentric characters to life. The colourful comic book format creates an accessible introduction to the world of Lewis Carroll. Part of a growing series of Usborne Graphic Novels, including classic stories such as Jason and the Argonauts, The Adventures of Thor, Macbeth, Dracula and The Adventures of Robin Hood.
Russell Punter was born in Bedfordshire, England. From an early age he enjoyed writing and illustrating his own stories. He trained as a graphic designer at art college in West Sussex before entering the world of publishing. He has written over one hundred books for children of all ages, ranging from original stories to adaptations of classic novels.
No i najważniejsze.
Alice’s adventures in wonderland is one of my favourite books of all time and this graphic novel adaptation was so cute and had really pretty illustrations. I think it captured the essence of the original while being a bit more accessible to a younger audience.
Alice is a weird one for me...I remember loving the Disney movie as a kid, but then when I finally got around to reading the original story as an adult, I found it so nonsensical that it actually wasn’t as enjoyable as I‘d expected it to be. This graphic novel really brought back some of the joy I felt when watching the animated movie. I loved how the art style gave a new “look” to the classic story, while a lot of the original text was still included along side the images.
Man visai patiko. Iliustracijų stilius - ne man, veiksmas irgi kažkoks šokinėjantis, na bet juk čia gi Alisa stebuklų šalyje, logikos čia nėra.

I really enjoyed this graphic novel with a modern humorous twist on the original Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I thought this was so funny and quirky! It followed the plot of the original but it also felt like a different story.
The illustrations were absolutely fantastic and perfectly captured the characters' expressions.
My favourite character was definitely Alice, because she was kind, funny and honest.
Would definitely recommend to anyone. Children would love the story, but I'm sure adults would enjoy it too especially with those amazing illustrations.
This is a WONDERFUL book! I really have no complains about it.
The pacing and the flow of the story in graphic novel form is perfect. The illustrations are beautiful, charming, colorful and fitting for the characters. Alice is perfectly portrayed as witty, confused, and curious as I always thought her to be.
I enjoyed every single page of this novel. I believe is one of the best yet of Alice in Wonderland that I have read. Even if its a retold story, I think they did a great job of keeping the soul of the original.
I truly believe Carroll would have approved of this book. It's a must have for all Carrollians and children alike!
My daughter and I just finished reading the graphic novel version of Alice in Wonderland together, and it was quite an experience! This version felt like a mix between the classic book and the cartoon – a bit weird, but then again, isn’t that what makes all versions of Alice so unique? 😄
While it didn’t completely capture my daughter’s attention, it was still a great way to share this children’s classic with her. The whimsical story and quirky characters are timeless, and it made for an enjoyable read overall.
If you're looking for a fun way to introduce kids to this tale, this graphic novel might be a good option!
I used to love this story and the Disney movie version. Perhaps I’m not a graphic novel kind of person or I’m not in the mood for the nonsense world of Wonderland right now, but I found this lacked depth. It moved quickly and the illustrations were OK but not my favorite. It’s recommended for ages 10+ and I would be interested to hear what someone closer to that age range thinks.
Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite stories. I love the novel and have read many different versions of this tale. I liked the adaptation of the novel for this graphic novel. The more versions I read the less they surprise me. However, this one was a wonderful adaption. I loved how they included the poems Alice had to recite. It was a sweet adaptation of the classic children's novel.
I think I’ve read almost of the Alice in Wonderland versions there are now so when I saw there was a graphic novel version I, of course, had to read it! I really enjoyed this graphic novel retelling of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. One of the things I always find fun is the play on words throughout the book.
I love the illustrations, colourful and cute. Never read the original/ any version of the novel, I found the story is very fast pacing. I guess all the important points are captured in this graphic novel though. It is really a nonsense story, but that makes the mind getting curiouser and curiouser!
Komiksas - puikus. Ar jį supras neskaitę knygos? Galbūt. Šimtai matytų ekranizacijų ir tolimi vaikystėje skaitytos knygos įspūdžiai pasitvirtino: nieko nesinorėjo nei pridėti, nei atimti.
What a lovely rendition of Alice in Wonderland! It was brought to life in such a delightfully lively way. It was simultaneously unique and familiar, and instilled a sense of nostalgia I quite enjoyed feeling.
