The amateur sleuth finds herself staring down another murder case.
This one isn't like the others, though.
The killer has gone to great lengths to cover their tracks.
The Deadly Fiery Affair By: K.M. Morgan Narrated by: Stephanie Quinn Series: Daisy McDare, Book 12
This quick cozy is probably my favorite of the series. Action packed with Daisy seeking the arsonist. The house is a dear friend of hers who's goddaughter was inside. Just when they thought she died from the fire, it's found her death took place prior to the fire. Will Daisy and Detective Crumple get to the bottom of this story? It's fast paced, full of quirky characters that we have grown to love and a real mystery until the end. Continued narration by Stephanie Quinn gives the series a great consistency and flow. It's a fun listen!
Daisy gets called by a dear friend who is outside her goddaughter's burning house awaiting the fire department. When Daisy gets there, the body is brought out. Just when it seems that it can't get any worse, Detective Crumple tells them that the fire was arson, and later they find out that the woman was murdered before the fire was set. Not supposed to happen in such a nice small town! Now the real sleuthing begins and all the red herrings pile up. Good but short. Stephanie Quinn is the narrator.
More in the life of Daisy McDare. I enjoyed the partnering of Detective Crumple and Daisy McDare Watson. They played off each other so well. Her family was growing as well, and everyone was so supportive. This was a murder that was a little closer to home. Clues were all there, and the ending was not a shock though it took a bit for me to get it. Stephanie Quinn did another wonderful job bringing these characters to life. I especially loved her voice for Granny Annie.
I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
4 Star review The Deadly Fiery Affair (Daisy McDare #12) by K M Morgan
Audio Review:
I don’t know how the author K M Morgan comes up with the titles for her books, but I love them. The Deadly Fiery Affair was a good mystery with suspense, intrigue and plenty of clues to keep me guessing throughout.
This is another well written story that kept my attention. Narrator Stephanie Quinn did an okay job but I didn’t feel it was the best I have heard from her.
The Deadly Fiery Affair is a short, simple, and clean murder mystery. The story provides a good hour or two of entertainment. This is a cozy mystery, and it is not overly deep nor is it disturbing.
The narrator does a decent job with the book. Her voice fits the story, and her characters’ voices, while not always convincing, are varied enough to avoid confusion.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.
Grandma Annie a dear friend calls Daisy Daisy McDare who is now married in this book. Daisy is and interior decorator and an amateur sleuth, Annie is crying says she is standing in front of her friends house and it is on fire. The storyline is well developed and the characters flow well with the storyline. Detective Crumple is on the scene awaiting results, is it an accidental fire or arson. This is a clean cozy mystery. I highly recommend this book.
The Deadly Fiery Affair was a great read by K.M. Morgan. Daisy is hopeful that the drama will cool down in her hometown of Cozy Creek. Unfortunately Daisy finds herself in the midst of investigating another murder case. Daisy is looking to uncover who the murderer is although they are trying to cover up the murder. I can’t wait to read more by K.M. Morgan.
The Deadly Fiery Affair (Daisy McDare), my twenty-fourth read/listen from author K.M. Morgan. Each book has been better than the one before. Another cute, well-written clean cozy mystery. Narrator Stephanie Quinn's talented narration added to the book's enjoyment. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
A house fire ruins a beautiful day for Daisy. The fire was no accident - it was used to cover-up a murder. It turns out that love can burn in the heart and the mind. I was gifted this from the author.
Daisy finds herself looking for a arsonist when her friends God daughter has been determined murdered before the house fire. Another good story , like Daisy and her friends , always a good cozy , fast read .
Daisy is drawn into another investigation with Crumple. They work well together, bringing us a good mystery Received audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
