The 3rd book in the series centers around Jessica and the men's relationship, but also around Hilary and Liam.

Jessica and her man have a great relationship, but the real world is intruding. Chris has practically been disowned and Jessica's parents are ignoring her calls. I love how real the whole relationship feels. usually menage relationships are presented like a rosy thing: no relatives disapprove(or are included). no real pressure to be "normal", no work intrudes... Ms Angel shows all the gritty details and it makes everything better!

Hilary and Liam are finally working out what they want from each other. They are dating in the real world and finding out if besides the great chemistry, they would fit in each other's lives.

Both girls are introducing their men to their friends at a Halloween party. You have to read the book to see how it all goes(hint: fireworks!). All in all, I like how Ms Angels keeps everything progressing while also showing us even more about the inner workings of her characters.

Jessica and her men couldn't be happier when they're spending time alone together or around understanding friends like Hilary or the other members of Stronghold but it's not so easy in the real world. Chris' parents have disowned him, Justin's mother is slowly coming around to the idea of their relationship but Jessica's parents are just refusing to deal with the issue and have stopped returning her phone calls. The lack of communication is driving Jessica crazy but she's also finding it difficult to know how to introduce her two boyfriends to the other people in her life because she's scared of the judgement she'll receive.

The triad have a lot to deal with in this instalment, the family pressure is one thing but it's all made a million times worse when Jessica's evil ex-boyfriend gets wind of her new relationship and starts trying to cause trouble for her. I really love these three, I appreciate the way they communicate with each other and I think Golden Angel does a brilliant job of showing how hard this kind of relationship can be because of other people's reactions. It's not common to find three people in a committed relationship and it's not something that can easily be hidden in the long term unless they never want to be able to date outside of their own homes. Most erotic romances focus on the sex and romance side so it's refreshing to come across a series that shows the potential issues too.

While Venus Desiring gives us the chance to see how Jessica, Justin and Chris are settling into their relationship we also get a whole new romance between Hilary and Liam which I loved. I definitely have a new book boyfriend in Liam, I think one of the things I find most interesting about him is that although he's a Dom he's not so hardcore into the scene as most of the Dominant characters I come across. Yes he likes to be in charge but apart from the odd minor spanking he's far more interested in pleasure than any kind of pain which suits Hilary perfectly as she's still very new to the BDSM scene and has no interest in being whipped. The scenes with Jessica, Justin and Chris are as hot as always but I think Liam and Hilary's romance ended up being even hotter, I loved their role playing and they definitely left me in need of a cold shower by the end of the book!

I'm so glad I started reading this series, it's been a lot of fun and I'm fully invested in all of the characters now so I can't wait to see what happens next. I REALLY hope that Jessica's ex is made to suffer in the next book for his actions in this one.

This is my favorite of the Venus Rising series so far. While it focuses more on Liam and Hilary’s burgeoning relationship, the realities of Justin, Chris, and Jessica’s menage relationship are seeing increasingly clearly. Chris’s family has cut him out, and Jessica’s family are less than welcoming. New to BDSM and unsure of her submissiveness, Hilary is also plagued by a controlling mother, and this affects her and her relationship with Liam. Liam is one of my favorite characters ever, I think. He is also wary of getting too attached to Hilary and then losing her, but, when they finally come together, it’s explosive. There is no attempt to sugarcoat issues in Golden Angel’s books; a menage relationship is not the norm, and there will be viciousness and unpleasantness from outsiders, and a D/s relationship is not going to make sense to some people either.

I really liked this book. This is the third one in this series and in it we get more of Justin, Jessica and Chris story plus we get the start to Liam and Hilary’s tale. You do need to read these books in order and from book one to have a complete understanding of all the details and the story thus far. I enjoyed the fact that this trio and duo were both at very different stages in their relationships. I thought it made a very interesting contrast. There is plenty of emotional turmoil, tension, drama, sizzling chemistry and scorching heat as these character's story unfolds. This is my elective, candid review.

Venus Desiting is the third book in the Venus Rising quartet. Focusing more on Hillary and Liam we see more of their relationship starting to bloom. Although we still see Jessica, Chris and Justin’s struggles and relationship growth and their ups and downs of thrupledom. I like how this quartet intermingles the stories of two sets of friends and their relationships.

I really enjoy this series. We get to see Jessica, Chris, and Justin settling into their lives and telling friends and family about their unconventional relationship. I like that we got to see different types of reactions and that they felt real. We also get Hilary and Liam. Hilary is just starting to discover what she's interested in and opening her mind. It was interesting to see these two very different relationships. I can't wait for the next book to see how everything turns out.

Brooke Pillifant's narration really good. She's clear and easy to listen to.

I am loving this series, it is well written and well told! I just love the characters and the world Golden Angel created. The storylines are interesting and they lured me right in and captivated my mind from start to end. This book picks up right where the second book “Venus Aspiring” left off. Chris, Jessica and Justin grow closer but are still dealing with family issues and acceptance of their unconventional relationship. There is a lot more of Hillary and Liam in this book. They get to know each other more, Hillary explores more of the BDSM world to test what she likes. Liam is a little reluctant to push her, wants her to like what she likes for her own needs and not just for him. I really like that guy. There is a few appearances of some of the other Stronghold Doms characters too. I am looking forward to see what happens next the 4th and final book. I am sure there will be plenty of drama as well as emotions, especially when Jessica confronts her family. Also need to see what is going to happen with Hillary and Liam. I highly recommend this series, it is enjoyable and entertaining and there is never a dull moment. There are some smoking hot scenes too, nobody does it better than Golden Angel. Thanks for another great story!

I listened to the Audible edition, Brooke Pillifant is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. You can hear the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story projected in her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

My Thoughts on Venus Desiring

Book three of this series continues where book two left off and adds an additional couple element. We still get to see Jessica, Chris and Justin as they continue to settle into their new life and try to find a way to tell their family and close friends about their unconventional relationship. Some people aren't happy. Some people do and say terrible things in response to the news. And some people handle it amazingly. I love that the author gave us all of that though, and with realistic reactions. How family and friends react, as well as how Jessica, Chris and Justin react all felt very true to the characters I've become so interested in and also seem plausible as to how someone might react in this situation.

This story also introduced Hilary and Liam. Their dynamic is so different then the other relationship. Not only because there are two people involved instead of three, but also because Hilary isn't as interested in going deep into the BDSM lifestyle as Jessica. Luckily Liam is turning out to be the perfect match, although they are taking their relationship at a much different and comparatively slower pace.

The narration again was very well done. The same narrator from book two was back for this one and I still liked the job she did overall.

The story itself ended with things more unresolved in my opinion then the previous book. It was more like book one's ending, and now I have to wait for book 4 to come out on audio so I can get all my lingering questions answered and because I love listening and reading at the same time. But I will definitely be on the look out for it.

Now that Jessica has picked her two men it is her best friends turn to find someone. Hilary is new and doesn't know if she wants a BDSM relationship. Golden Angel must be into the BDSM scene because she describes things in such detail.

The first set of BDSM books I read were the Blackthorne Brothers Box Set. I enjoyed most of them because they showed the aftercare after the scene and told how much the scene is actually about the submissive not the Dom. The Dom won't do anything that is on the submissives hard list, it's about control. In this series some of the scenes were more torture and the submissive didn't want was happening. This is where I stopped liking the series. From another author after a scene the submissive had to clean everything up, there was no aftercare. I didn't like this so when I found Golden Angel I was so happy.

Once again the series is about giving the submissive pleasure. Hilary isn't ready and doesn't want heavy scenes and Liam is the right Dom for her. Roll playing isn't for me but the way the author tells the story might change my mind. How Liam tells Hilary what he wants in a relationship is down right sexy.

Hillary is intrigued by Jessica and her two men, BDSM, Stronghold and most of all Liam. She's also absolutely terrified by any thoughts of pain, erotic or otherwise and the thoughts of how Liam affects her and then seeminly rejects her. With the help of Justin and Chris, Liam takes a different tack, getting to know Hillary personally, going on dates and learning about each other. While it seems to be going well, Hillary is convinced she's going to die of sexual frustration because Liam is moving so slowly. Again Justin steps up and suggest that Liam maybe taking it slowly because he doesn't want to become too invested should Hillary decide that BDSM is not for her. The only way to find out is for her to try to find out what it takes to please Liam. She shows up to Stronghold and lets Liam know she's there to please him. They have an steamy scene in The Harem Room that fulfills both their needs.

Meanwhile Justin, Jessica and Chris struggle coming to terms with family and some friends rejecting their relationship. Jessica's parents refuse to even talked about her new relationship. Things culminate in a nasty scene at a Halloween party where Jessica feels completely betrayed and devastated by her ex-boyfriends actions and accusations.

Venus Desiring continues the story with Jessica and her two men. But is adds in the romance of Liam and Hillary. The connection between the two romances flow so smoothly. Liam and Hillary had a bad start but when Hillary wants to explore her naughty side, Liam is the one assigned to introduce her. Their romance is fast and sexy! This is one hot and sexy story that you cannot put down.

Although this story is part of a series, it can be read alone. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order though. There is some back story that will just enhance the full experience.

Brooke Pillifant's narration was wonderful. Her voice was easy to listen to and added to the story experience. She was able to distinguish the characters with ease. Ms Pillifant brought out every emotion with ease. She brought the story to life.

Book three in the Venus Rising series. Picks up right where book two leaves off, I don't recommend reading as a stand-alone. This book also ends on a cliffhanger with the next book being the last in the series. This is told in multiple POV and is about two different couples relationships. I like reading about the beginning of Hillary and Liam's relationship. It is so different from Jessica, Chris, & Justin's. I like that Chris and Justin want to have Jessica move in with them and that they are also not pressuring her. They understand that she is waiting for her families approval. I am looking forward to reading the final book to see how everything works out!!

I'm Venus Desiring I've enjoyed watching as Jessica, Justin and Chris continue to find their way as they cement their unique relationship and begin to let the world know who they are as a strong personal unit. It has been fascinating to see more of Hillary and Liam as they explore their attraction.As expected, Golden Angel's writing is concise and extremely descriptive making this a book meant for non-judgemental adults. Brooke Pillifant's narration brings the characters to life and makes it feel like you're there with them. I've enjoyed the secondary characters as they bring extra dimension to the story. I was fortunate to receive the audio via Audio book Obsession.

Venus Rising Continues

After listening to this book, the series title has started to make more and more sense to me. This series is more than just sex, its about discovering what one desires and finding your sexual self. I enjoyed the new characters and seeing them come together, although I miss having the entire book be about Jessica and her men. I have a feeling I know how the fourth book will go and hope to see equal parts of Jessica and Hilary.

Again, the narration was not very good. I feel like Brooke could be amazing if she worked more on her timing, flow, and editing.

This is the continuation of the Venus series. This audible’s story is about Liam and Hilary, and their relationship.
Hilary isn’t sure she’s even into the whole BDSM scene so she’s not sure she wants a relationship but she can’t fight her attraction to Liam. The feeling seems mutual.
I loved this couple. They seem so real to me.
I love their story.
Brooke Pillifant does a good job of creating the characters in this story.

“Venus Desiring” is book 3, in the “Venus Rising Quartet” and is as awesome as books one and two. The book picks up right where the second book “Venus Aspiring” left off. Chris, Jessica and Justin are delighting in and enjoying their relationship while dealing with family and friends issues concerning their reluctance to accept their unconventional relationship.
We learn more about Hillary and Liam. They are getting to know more about each other. Hillary is exploring the BDSM world with Liam. Liam is slowly introducing her to the lifestyle since he wants her to want this for herself and not just for him. I love reading about them and how beautifully Golden Angel revels learning and growing in this lifestyle.
I love the series and reading how Golden Angel handles the relationship between Justin, Chris and Jessica and the difficulties they have encountered with the reactions of their families and some friends. They frown upon it and feel that is unconventional. She examines the power of Society, the cultural expectations and how this affects many of our decisions. Can we be strong enough to deviate from the expected path and find our way to happiness? The suspense, intrigue, mystery and BDSM elements continue in this story, and the sexual scenes are HOT and is a good romance. Golden Angel is a gifted writer - her story is well developed and her characters have depth. Thanks for another great story!

The third book of the series revolving around Jessica and her two men Chris and Justin. The trio are settling into life together and Jessica is moving in with her men but her family are not accepting her choice, but at least she has her men to support her and her friend Hilary who is interested in the BDSM lifestyle but everything is new and she is unsure and not willing to experiment too much and isn't into anything too outside vanilla.
Whilst Jessica, Chris and Justin are the focus of the series this book brings Hilary to the fore, as she and Liam fight their attraction and then start to see if they can be compatible. Personally I find Hilary's character slightly more believable than Jessica in terms of being cautious.

I also really like Liam, he is a down to earth guy who likes a bit of extra control in the bedroom a d even though he pushes Hilary he knows the limits whereas sometimes I think Justin and Chris take Jessica too far for someone new to the lifestyle.
I look forward to seeing how Hilary and Liam develop as a couple, especially given the ending of this book. Is that the end of Hilary and Liam?????

While this is a continuation of Jessica's story as she works out the issues of being in a relationship with two men, this story actually focuses more on her roommate, Hillary. Ever since Jessica has embraced her new lifestyle, Hillary has been wanting more love in her life as well. While she doesn't want two men, she does have her eye on someone that is not the type that she normally dates. Liam is a friend of Chris and Justin (Jessica's men) so that means he is also active in the BDSM lifestyle that Hillary isn't sure she is ready for. But for Liam, she just might take a chance on exploring things. This was an enjoyable addition to the Venus Rising series, and I'm looking forward to see where things might be headed for all of the characters in the series.

When families don't understand
This author manages to merge reality with romance in this third installment of the Venus Rising series. She really showed us how emotionally difficult it can be when your family doesn't support your lifestyle. Thankfully Jessica has her men to help her through. The intrusion of the outside world on their relationship adds a depth to the story that you don't find a lot of books. I also enjoyed the addition of Hilary and Liam both as a couple and the way they all interacted as a group. You gotta have your support group. I can't wait to read the next book by this author.

Book 3 of the series sees Justin, Chris and Jessica working through their new relationship with backlash from their families. But this is actually the story of Hilary, Jessica’s roommate, who is interested in Jessica’s lifestyle. She meets Liam. Both are searching for their other half. Slowly they get to know each other and test the waters. As usual, this is a well-written story that makes you think, opens your mind and challenges you. It is hot, steamy and incredibly romantic. It will make you laugh, cry and become enraged at the idiocy that lives in people. And it teaches you to face your fears, not to run from them. A lesson I know I needed to learn. On to book 4!!

This book definitely feels like Hilary and Liam's book. It focuses more on them, but of course it has Jessica and her men in it as well. I loved Jessica and her men, but I think I like Hilary and Liam more. They are such great characters and work so well together. Plus they are so adorable! I love how the friends in this group are. It keeps putting me in mind of the Stronghold series which takes place after this series, but it is so great because you get to read about the friends getting their HEA.

This book involved more of the family dynamics and how it was affecting Jessica. I was a little frustrated with her because she wasn't putting herself first and kept worrying about her family but it's understandable how that relationship can affect your romantic ones. I love that the scenes are detailed so you get the whole picture and we get more of Liam and Hilary’s story. I was left wanting more and can't wait for the next one.

This story along with the series is fantastic! It’s my favorite so far!
The relationship between Jessica, Justin and Chris keeps developing. Being rejected by her parents has hit her hard. We also get to see the relationship began between Hilary and Liam. I’m excited to see how their romance goes!
Golden Angel has the perfect balance between romance and erotica that makes for a fantastic story! I loved it! I can’t wait to read the next book in the Venus Rising series!

Hot and sweet
The first book in this set is a very steamy tale about all the things that happen in the Venus School. Might become bothering… The next books delve deeper into the relationship between the three MCs, which makes the story much more interesting. They are funny and sweet. Besides steamy, of course in a reverse harem situation. And meeting some characters from the Stronghold series.
I liked this series very much and strongly advise to read the box set to get the whole adventure.
