Tot va començar a la terrassa d’un àtic amb una trobada que semblava casual, però allà va tenir inici una aventura increïble que m’ha portat a reconstruir el fil del passat de la humanitat. Cada pas ha estat una sorpresa majúscula, cada nou descobriment un salt espectacular i cada revelació ha fet trontollar tots els meus coneixements. He dit “coneixements”? Potser hauria de dir desconeixements... Després de tot el que ha passat, després del que he vist, després de tot el que he viscut, només una cosa queda clara: a partir d’ara, la meva vida mai no tornarà a ser la mateixa. I la teva? About the author

Albert Salvadó i Miras (Andorra la Vella, 1 de febrer de 1951 - 3 de desembre de 2020). Fou un escriptor andorrà en llengua catalana i castellana.
Fou enginyer industrial i escriptor. Va escriure contes infantils, assaigs i novel·les. Destaquen especialment les seves novel·les històriques, en les que barreja la realitat, la ficció i el misteri, tot envoltant-los de sentiments que, segons ell, són el gran motor de la nostra vida.[1] Té obres publicades en català, castellà, anglès, francès, portuguès (Portugal i Brasil), txec, eslovac i grec modern.
Durant el període 2003 -2007 fou conseller menor del Comú d'Andorra la Vella.
Va morir el 3 de desembre del 2020 a causa d'un càncer que patia des de feia anys, malaltia a la que va dedicar un llibre explicant les seves vivències titulat Vols viure?.

Mind blowing.

What if everything we know about history is wrong? A novel that takes the history of the Earth, the Genesis & Flood of the Bible, other religions, mythologies and scientific data and blends everything together into a uniquely astonishing story that rewrites history of humanity as we know it.

I remember at the time being really impressed with this retelling of Earth and humanity’s history. Since the time of creation of Earth and Pangaea to the present time and the possible future destruction of Earth. Truly a magnificent novel with massive scope and a not so implausible theory, if one is able to keep an open mind. After nearly twenty years I barely remember anything specific about the story except that it really blew my mind. Sadly the feeling has faded with the passing of years and so has the story, but I wouldn’t mind rereading it someday to refresh the feelings and see if it still holds strongly as it once did. Maybe write a better review too. If only it wasn’t so long!

I read several reviews comparing this author to Dan Brown, or Dan Brown on drugs. I never read the man so I can’t really say, but just the comparison seems admirable! I take their word for it.

Te vuela la cabeza.

¿Y si todo lo que sabemos sobre la historia estuviera equivocado? Una novela que toma la historia de la Tierra, el Génesis & Diluvio de la Biblia, otras religiones, mitologías y datos científicos y lo mezcla todo junto en una única y asombrosa historia que reescribe la historia de la humanidad como la conocemos.

Recuerdo en su momento haber estado realmente impresionado con esta reescritura de la Tierra y la historia de la humanidad. Desde la creación de la Tierra y Pangea hasta el presente y la posible futura destrucción de la Tierra. Verdaderamente una magnífica novela con masivo alcance y una teoría no tan imposible, si uno es capaz de mantener una mente abierta. Después de casi veinte años apenas si recuerdo algo específico sobre la historia excepto que en realmente me voló la cabeza. Lamentablemente la sensación se ha desvanecido con el paso de los años y también la historia, pero no me importaría algún día volverla a leer para refrescar ese sentimiento y ver si todavía se mantiene fuerte como lo hizo alguna vez. Tal vez escribir una mejor reseña también. ¡Si tan sólo no fuera tan extensa!

Leí varias reseñas comparando este autor con Dan Brown, o Dan Brown drogado. Nunca leí al hombre así que no podría decir, ¡pero sólo la comparación es admirable! Tomo su palabra con respecto a ello.

When I wanted to read books from Andorra, I met a roadblock since there were few authors and fewer English books. I practically had only three books to choose from and two of them were unavailable. This was the only book I could pick up. And boy! What a book! This reminded me of Dan Brown; the only difference is that Dan Brown spit pure facts while Salvadó spit pure fiction. And that was the only complaint I had. The entire story was just fiction; nothing could have been real (Why oh why!!). The fiction was quite a stretch at some places too.

The amount of research this book contained is just unbelievable. Salvadó's writing style is engaging from start to finish (or probably the translator's since this was originally in Catalan and Spanish, the two dominant languages of Andorra) and the story? Phew! What a ride it was. A quote from this book reflects my reading experience, "My mind rebelled at the idea... [I] wondered whether I was going crazy or had fallen into the clutches of a sect". Truer words have not been spoken ;-)

This book delved into the origins of humans through a retelling of the Bible, mainly the Genesis in the eyes of a fictional civilization of Pangaea. It is incredible how Salvadó could fit in every verse of the Genesis into a modern retelling with inclusion of unimaginable technology. But this book also had a serious message, the message of human want and human greed which is spiralling us into destruction. The futuristic warning is 100% real. A must read book for all those profit driven millionaires running behind so called "development" and the covert Government dealings running on misguided successes. Take this book for the fiction it is and you have an excellent read in your hand. Surely, this book would not disappoint you.

Al principi costa una mica enganxar-t’hi, molts detalls que fan que la lectura sigui feixuga. Quan ja et comences a endinsar en la història (passada la meitat del llibre), molt interessant i molt ràpid.

Un libro para leer con una mente bastante abierta. El autor, a través de datos históricos, mitos y leyendas de diferentes culturas y religiones, narra una versión completamente diferente de lo que fue la historia de la humanidad, con una narración bastante plana, donde no hay una escritura que adorne el texto, sino simplemente narra como al personaje principal se le es revelado cada detalle durante todo el libro, y de forma tal que hace bastante verosímil su historia.

El libro gira alrededor del diluvio, la historia narrada de la biblia, y sobre Faetón (hijo de Helios) de la mitología griega. El mensaje que transmite se centra en como la humanidad, en su codicia por tener siempre más y más, llega a auto-destruirse y como esta a punto de hacerlo.

El libro es como una clase de historia bastante larga, añadiendo interpretación y ciencia ficción.

En lo personal, me entretuvo mucho. Habían partes muy lentas, pero en general, la intriga se mantiene durante la mayor parte del libro. Es un libro bastante interesante. RECOMENDADO.

"‘In 600 BC, Egyptian historians called the Greeks “children who are ignorant of the history and science of the past.” They wrote, “There is a story you have made your own: the story of Phaeton. But you turned it into a myth when it is actually true!” It is clear to see from the cultural heritage we inherited from our ancestors that we never paid any attention to that Egyptian text. To us it is just a mythological story that says that Phaeton was a spoilt brat, a fool who wanted to drive the sun’s chariot. Like a daddy’s boy who gets his driving licence when he is eighteen and the very same day asks to drive his father’s Ferrari,’ she said. She paused, ate some salad, looked me in the eye and continued, ‘We should not be deaf to “the cries from the past”"

This is like Dan Brown on crack AND steroids. Interesting read for sure even though makes 0 sense.

Delirante novela de ficción en la que se asume la teoría según la cual existió una civilización previa a la nuestra, antes de la última glaciación, sumamente desarrollada y que misteriosamente desapareció sin dejar rastro... ¿o sí?

El Informe Paethon, a modo de best-seller digno de Dan Brown, desentraña las supuestas pistas que existen en el mundo y que corroboran esa teoría. Es tan sumamente descabellada que resulta adictiva y la propia curiosidad del ser humano empuja al lector a leerse la trama casi del tirón.

Al terminar la novela hay que ver a Iker Jiménez para completar la cuadratura del círculo Illuminati

Excelente trabajo investigativo y de búsqueda de fuentes; pero hasta ahí. La exposición de dicha información mal unida al texto de ficción, a través de los diálogos de los personajes es deficiente. Los personajes se expresan muy técnica y artificialmente; nadie conversa así con otras personas ni siquiera exponiendo datos. Una idea buena de ficción que termina ahogada (igual que los pangeanos) entre tantas citas ad nauseam al intentar darle "respaldo histórico". Muy al estilo de los sobrevalorados "Caballo de Troya" del también español J.J. Benítez.

Como se dice, creo que hay que tener la mente abierta para leerlo. El autor reconduce la historia a un plano más futurista y tecnológico. A mí me convenció porque ambas versiones, la de la Biblia y la del autor, podrían haber sido válidas. Además, está escrita de un modo que atrapa y hace que quieras saber más sobre la trama y la verdad que hay tras ella. Muy buen libro.

Es interesante el trabajo de búsqueda de información que hay detrás, ya que hay muchos datos verídicos utilizados como argumentos por el autor para afirmar la hipótesis que se desarrolla en el libro. Tal como se ha dicho, para leer con la mente abierta y pasar un buen rato descubriendo el misterio que nos esconde la trama.

Si quieres devorar un libro que te haga replantearte todo lo que dabas por hecho que sabías , que te haga explotar la cabeza y no puedas parar de pasar páginas para saber más, este es tu libro. Cada capítulo te abre cien caminos nuevos que explorar. Ciencia ficción que te absorbe, pero y si...? 100% recomendable !

Another book from my reading of the world (Andorra), this book is exactly why I started this project of trying to read one book from an author from each country in the world. This book provides an exciting deviation from the well worn path of historic literature and science fiction. The main character is compelling, the plot is based on public data, and there is a staggering amount of historic information woven into the story. It's a bit slow at times, but was still quite enjoyable.
