Ava Beringer is a major-league nerd who started off writing fanfiction and fell in love with mpreg and omegaverse. She loves to heat up a slick omega and a knotty alpha. By day she’s a good thirty-something midwestern girl, but she has a dark side. Okay, not really. She’s as bubbly as champagne but she can be really cheeky when you get her going.
She’s an aspiring digital nomad who’s traveled to thirty-two countries and counting. If she’s lucky, a cat will adopt her along the way.
Parker: An omega. Suffered recent break-up with verbally abusive and controlling alpha boyfriend. Goes to live at Heartstone Mansion, where there are other alpha and omega tenants. Wants to be a writer, but is going into finance to please his parents.
Scott: An alpha. Owner of Heartstone Mansion, which he's currently renovating. Paying for renovating costs with the money earned from having tenants, and by doing some contract work for his moms' law firm.
Main Storyline: The interactions and building attraction between Scott and Parker. Lots of push/pull. Due to Scott's rule of tenants not dating, they spend most of the book as friends.
𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗱:
1. Miscommunication. This was used as a ploy to keep the MCs from having a relationship until the end, creating lots of angst. In a poor attempt to keep the readers' attention. Using Scott's "no dating rule" as the primary reason for this, was not believable nor an acceptable excuse. Not when they spent a lot of time together, touching each other, taking care of each other, jokingly calling each other "mates," while being able to smell receptive pheromones that indicates interest. Even though all their actions proved otherwise, neither MC believed that the other one truly wanted him. They ended up looking like idiots, when a single conversation would have resolved the matter.
2. Insecure Love Interest. Parker's thoughts:I wanted to believe he cared but I was emotionally scarred from my own crappy experiences. Deep down I knew I didn’t deserve somebody like Scott. If he was ever crazy enough to give me a chance, I would likely blow it.
😡 Parker's insecurities drove him to date another alpha, even after having lots of sex with Scott during an intense heat. Accepting a job that requires him to move away, he believes it will give Scott a chance to finally get rid of him. Feeling like he manipulated Scott with his desperation, he can't shake the belief that he fell for the first alpha to show him kindness, rather than for Scott's true feelings. He refuses to recognize his own worth or see the sincerity in Scott’s interest.
When by the 65% mark, both tropes were still in full swing, I was done. Darn those tropes, darn them all to heck! If they're short in duration, I can endure them. But not when they continue for - Most. Of. The. Book! 😡
Parker Midland - fresh off of a broken engagement, an unhappy relationship of five years, no employment prospects, and virtual homelessness. He shows up at Hearthstone Manse for afresh start and no romance on the radar. Left with the constant feeling of never being enough for anyone, his self esteem took a big hit and Parker is uncertain what he truly wants in his future.
Scott Lake - not in the market for an omega right now. he has too many responsibilities. Unhappy with his alpha moms' choice of forcing him into the family law business, he decides to take his own path and work on his inheritance. The restoration of Hearthstone Manse has proven to be tedious and expensive. With the help of family and friends, he is certain to get things done, eventually.
The place is already booming with alphas and omegas. All of whom bring their own charm and personality to the many walls of the work in progress.
Neither man is expecting to have an undeniable attraction to the other. Parker is aspiring to be a writer but never had the encouragement to continue his true love. Scott constantly encourages him. Parker offers to care for Buddy and ends us caring for Scott as well. Both are playing the role of mates without admitting to it. Everyone in Hearthstone sees this.
As if the tension isn't already thick, they pretend to be husbands, Scott's moms fall in love with him, he publicly claims Parker as his own to protect him from his former alpha Brock, and they spend 72 hours together during Parker's unexpected heat.
Leave it to Buddy's emergency to snap Scott into reality. Leave it to misunderstanding and fear to keep them apart. Will Scott break his own rules and go after his omega, or lose his chance at happiness and a growing family?
Book 0 is where you have a chance to meet all the mates who go on pretending they aren't couples. Each book is really best read in order. I stumbled onto book 2 by accident and have been hooked ever since.

Parker arrived at Scott’s mansion after leaving his verbally abusive ex alpha. He is amazed at how welcoming the omegas and alphas are in the mansion. He is also amazed how hot Scott is and how he has to hide his attraction and growing love. He struggles to work on his book and at hiding his feelings for his alpha.
Scott is in love with Parker, but he is the one who wrote the rules of the house. He can’t make an exception for Parker. But time and close contact and a New Years celebration and an omegas heat proves too much for him. Then his omega is gone. What will Scott do to get Parker back in his life again? You won’t be disappointed with reading this book. It will make you laugh and cry with happiness. I absolutely loved reading this book.

Scott Lake is working on the restoration of Hearthstone Mansion which he hopes to fill with tenants. Scott has one big rule – no one dates anyone else living there in the mansion. He’s had enough of heartbreak! But right from the start, Parker Midland and Scott Lake are drawn together. Unfortunately that “no dating” rule is a big problem. Yet the rest of the tenants could easily see how the two felt about each other. So who will “break” the rule first? And how long before they admit that they love each other?
This story was very enjoyable, with fun banter and a real feeling of “family” among the tenants. They all got along very well and I can see this easily becoming an excellent series. The closer they all get, the more they will meddle and chaos will reign – just like a real family! And best of all, you can really feel the love.
Scott, owner to a sprawling, but crumbling mansion, allows people to live in his house for a low rent, as long as they pitch in with renovating his house. Alphas as well as omegas are welcome. The latest tenant is Parker, a young omega, who just left a toxic relationship of 5 years. Attraction between him and Scott is palpable, but the number one rule in the house is not dating each other. Still, nature cannot be denied, although insecurities and hurt feelings make the pairing difficult. A lovely read, entertaining and well written. All characters are described quite deeply and it is clear that this prequel was written after the first books of Omega House were already written. The characters are ready to burst out of the story. Ava Beringer is a new to me author and I am so happy that I have found her work. This book is a prequel to what looks to be a great series. We are introduced to characters here that will show up as the main characters in the future and I am so excited to read them. It looks like each book will be a continuation of the storyline but featuring characters that we have been introduce in this book.
Strong story line, awesome characters, engaging dialogue and easy to visualize detailed descriptions. Written as a 1st person, multi pov with a HEA ending.
Would I recommend this book? Yes!! Would I read more from this author? Yes

Never say never with the rules you intend to live by. Scott is restoring Heartstone Mansion and takes in room mates to share expenses and the repair work. Scott planned on forbidding fraternizing to avoid entanglements and fallout if they did not go well. Parker, just coming out of a relationship and trying to recover from devestating heartbreak. Scott notices him and feels entrigued. Reading about them walking the fine line is like watching a Cirque du Soleil performance. The guys are absolutely hysterically fun! Well done. Read the series! I've read 3 other stories before this one and they are all amazing! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Nice cover art!
This is my first read by this author. I adore omega verse books and I wasn't let down. This story was so good. I loved the idea of the family in the mansion, and the way they all seemed to click. Parker and Scott are so cute together, and fall for each other right from the start, but Scott’s whole no dating house rule makes thing difficult.

Alpha lawyer Scott is restoring the family mansion with the aid of a Cadre of somewhat single (house rules against fraternizing) gay men roommates. Wannabe author Parker joins the boarders when escaping from his relationship. Bringer uses this novella to set the series, introducing a cadre of interesting men and women (their mothers) in a coastal California setting. Some angst and trials feature with a 72-hour heat making comedy a key element in this tale.
This was my first time reading Ava Baringer but it will not be my last! I love mpreg! I saw this book while searching Amazon and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. Don’t get me wrong there are a few grammar problems but not enough to take away from such a great story. Scott is a perfect Alpha and Scott is such a great Omega. They make such a good pair. This book has awesome characters and it made me bust out laughing at times! I can’t wait to read more!
Parker moved in with Scott and friends when he told his boyfriend that he wasn’t going to marry him and got kicked out. Scott was redoing the mansion that he inherited and renting out the rooms that were done. Scott had a rule no dating tenants, but when he fell in love with Parker he broke it. They finally acknowledged their feelings at the New Years party. And got things worked out and Parker met the author that he was a big fan of. Loved this book!
Yes, there are a few rough edges to this book, but the author has the essential bit down: I kept wanting to turn the page. Find out what happens next. There’s humor, sweetness, and a little bit of heat in here. I look forward to reading the next installment.
Parker's starting over after his break up with his boyfriend, He moves to a mansion that the owner is turning into an apartment community. Scott is the owner of the mansion and has one rule, no dating with the other tenants. The more Scott gets to know Parker he knows he wants him. I really enjoyed this book.
These two are so funny as they both try to dismiss what are they filling for their won reasons. Scott has his rules but at some point rules need to be broken before it’s too late. You can also get the vibe that once the rules are broken there will be a whole lot more changes that will come to the Mansion. Fun story and a great introduction to the series.
Such an amazing story. I want to move right into the house with these guys. I love Scott and Parker as well as the rest of the guys..even Spencer. I cant wait to see what else happens in the house! A must read!
This story was so good! I loved the premise of the family in the mansion, and the way they all clicked. This story has it all, the ups and downs, the angst, humor and love needed to make a great book! I can’t wait for the next ones in the series! Parker and Scott are so cute together, and fall for each other right from the start, but Scott’s whole no dating house rule throws a wrench in the works. It’s great how everyone else knew how they felt before they did and no one called them out on the rule breaking. I am excited about the next books in the series!
I loved Parker and Scott and their love story. The support characters were great too and I can't wAit to read more about them in the upcoming stories. I love reading stories by new to me authors and I look forward to reading more!
This was an absolutely wonderful read. It was entertaining and sweet. The strong family bond was great. The love and passion was beautiful. The storyline was spot on. The ending was priceless.

Cute and fun read. There were some eye roll moments that came from failure to communicate and a small, but annoying plot inconsistency. All in all, it was what I look for in an mpreg story: light, sexy, and low angst.
I loved this book so much that I would read it again and again I fell in love with the main characters and the side crew except for one his name is Brock, there was another but he grew on me. I am looking forward to reading the next installment of Omega Mansion
Parker has given up on love after an emotional abusive relationship. Scott had a relationship but not much info is available. Parker moves to the mansion and is never the same. Neither is Scott.
This is Tales of the City gone completely gay. At least it's looking that way. The book is well written and the characters are delightful. Looking forward to more!
I love this book so much it made me laugh so much through out. I could not help but fall in love with all the chatacters. I cannot wait to read the series
Ava Beringer's Omega In The House! Is the prequel to The Omega Mansion series. It is a contemporary MPREG romance that has heat, sweetness, humor and just a touch of angst. A fabulous fun read!
