Very good original story, written in such a way as not to overwhelm the reader. I'd question this being an entirely A2 level text, though, some of the vocabulary was quite advanced. There is no English in this book whatsoever so I don't think it's for an advanced beginner. I'd say low intermediate at B1. The exercises at the end of each chapter were helpful, even if I bombed at the grammar most of the time.
This is the first Italian language book I've ever read, yaaaay!
