The first three novels in the bestselling Phantom Queen Diaries: Whiskey Ginger, Cosmopolitan, and Old Fashioned.
My name is Quinn MacKenna, and magic doesn’t work on me.
When I’m not getting roped into bar brawls in Boston, I’m usually acquiring—stealing is a form of acquisition, you know—dangerous magical artifacts to turn around and sell them to the highest bidders.
But I prefer to be paid in favors, not money. Because favors are a hot commodity in the Land of the Fae. Favors are the only currency that will buy the answers I seek: why magic doesn’t work on me, and who my real father is.
Everything was going so well…until I accidentally stole something from a wizard named Nate Temple in St. Louis. That’s the day my life changed forever.
Let's cut to the chase. You read stuff. I write stuff. So, If you want to nab a few of my free Amazon Best Selling Urban Fantasy books to test the waters, go here: http://www.shaynesilvers.com
Now, let's talk about this specimen of a man named Shayne...
Shayne Silvers writes the "Nate Temple Series" which features a foul-mouthed, flawed, young wizard with a chip on his shoulder attempting to protect St. Louis from the various nasties we all know and fear from our childhood bedtime stories.
Nate's been known to suckerpunch an Angel, cow-tip the Minotaur, and steal Death's horse in order to prove his point. His utter disregard for consequences and self-preservation will have you laughing and cringing on the edge of your seat.
But he has a lot to learn. Namely, how not to be so big of an A-Hole.
Shayne holds two high-ranking black belts, and enjoys conversing about anything Marvel, Magical, or Mythological. You might find him writing in a coffee shop near you, cackling madly into his computer screen while pounding shots of espresso.
Boston is an old town obviously way different than the one we non-magical folks think we know. Although Quinn MacKenna's exciting life is way beyond what I could withstand it would be amazing to get to know a very tall, redheaded Irish woman, no wallflower she. A dealer in magical weapons and artifacts as if she were a normal gun runner puts Callie into situations as outrageous as the other two members of this magical universe, one in St. Louis - Nate Temple, and the other in Kansas City - Callie Penrose. If you aren't reading the three series intertwined the Phantom Queen series may have a few wth is going on moments related to character crossovers. There are enough wth moments in Quinn's tales trying to figure out along with Quinn just who and what is going on. You see Quinn is sort of the opposite of magic yet definitely as much a Freak as the wizards, Fae, and things that go bump in the night. Have fun. This Is a good read.
I really love how this series is incorporated into the other two series i in the Templeverse. This series also has great, memorable characters and I can't wait to keep reading.
