Coming-of-age tale about a young girl who is slowly but surely (and lingeringly) initiated into the world of womanhood, and dominatrix-dom. First trained by Lady Julia Tingle, Astrid becomes a feared and desired mistress in her own right, leading us through numerous encounters with both men and women.

Incredibly difficult to stomach. I can appreciate the historical value and what could maybe be considered female empowerment? However, it was extremely unnerving in a bad way.
there's no real plot (if you call Master-ing everyone a plot, then I'll grant you that), and no real conflict either. it's like a big compilation of incest and Master-ing and cruelty.
Astrid is a great character. She changed so much from the first few chapters, and it's a surprise. after a week of Julia master-ing her, she's all good and done and suddenly an amazing mistress and leader of the household.
the downfall: it's always incest, and most of the time, it gets scary and disgusting. and the females are always the masters. I would have loved to see the Major ACTUALLY mastering Patricia and all.
I love the metaphors used. One must get tired of reading "cock" or "dick" or "penis" or "pubis" or "vagina", so the Anonymous author gives us a variety: "prick", "pego", "rod", "broomstick", "lovelips", etc. it's an interseting mix of words, which actually makes it a well-written prose. but still, there's no really story.
