Some people change relationship status like they change shoes. Not me. I’d been in a steady relationship for, well, a long time. Maybe too long. We were happy and by happy my status could read: IN COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE SAFE or GIRLFRIEND BUT NOT A PRIORITY. It wasn’t until I met someone who made my heart beat fast that I regretted I was officially TAKEN. His best friend and my best friend have fallen in love and are getting married. Is happy every after contiguous? I hope so! All this time we’ve been spending together has me feeling confused. Thinking about another man is a bad idea. Until the first moment I met Ben and realized that I deserve more. Everything I never knew I was missing is now standing right in front of me, but I’m still taken. It’s time to call it like it is and move on. BREAK UP? Is it really breaking up if you’re ending something that’s already over? Nope. Finally, being free to move on isn’t as easy as I thought because the man I want doesn’t want to be the cause. REBOUND? No way. That’s not what he is… not even close. He’s smart, gorgeous and covered in tattoos. He looks like a bad boy but acts like a gentleman. FRIENDS TO LOVERS? We could be. If I could just convince him that what we have, what we could have, is real. From one relationship to another, I don’t even have a label for what this is. Current status: IT’S MESSY
Sonnie Wolf is a candy aficionado and a sucker for the actor Charlie Hunnam (see what we did there?). While some friends may think she can be more of an Airhead, Sonnie thinks she rides the line between Smarties and Nerds. She still considers herself a new author. So, if you are just learning about her, she writes stories about heroes and heroines that are quirky and will may make you giggle while reading. Her characters are much like her and frequently break out in song or bad jokes. Okay, you can Snicker at that, she doesn’t mind. When she’s not writing she’s sitting in front of the television eating frosting straight out of the can. While she’s the mother to two Junior Mints, she also adds proud wife to one Hot Tamale of a husband to her resume. Sonnie’s ultimate goal in life, besides writing the great American novel, is to one day find out who Mike & Ike really are.
It's Messy really is a messy relationship that shouldn't be so hard... I LOVE IT! Ben is to die for, a sexy sweet man that we all dream of in our lives. Sophie is a whiney girl who made me want to climb into the book and slap a bitch... so basically these characters are so real. To me the more real the characters and story the better the story and this story and the variety of personalities are totally real. As you read you just want to shake the shit out of Sophie and make her realise what a pathetically passive martyr she is, putting up with a whole bunch of shit from a complete jackass when she knows full well she shouldn't be. And then of course she punishes the sexy man who's the best thing in her life, for the issues she's created and accepted in her life. OMG WOMAN I'll have him you obviously don't really want him!!!!
Sonnie Wolf - you kill me! LOVE this book, anything that gets me riled up and ranty is ok by me.
This was Ben and Sophie's story in the Relationship Series. The book can definitely be read as a standalone title. I absolutely adored this romance and everything it took to get there. Sophie was silly and quirky where Ben was strong and romantic. They match together perfectly and go through alot to get there.
Ok, I loved this story. OMG, it was such an emotional story that I was drawn into. I loved Ben so much…he was perfection in every way. I was mad at Sophie even though I knew her intentions came from the most perfect place…her heart. There is great chemistry, hot steam love scenes and the perfect villain to hate.
It’s Messy is book 2 in the it’s complicated series. Sophie and Ben are the best friends of Derek and Audrey (book 1) who become friends but want to be more. It was a good read with a HEA. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I read all of her other books and had to read this one, I was not disappointed. Very funny and serious at that samevtime. Great chemistry and hot steamy love scenes. A must read ☺
Ben and Sophie’s story was definitely a little(!) messy. But in the end, the author made it all work out. It was good to have characters from the first book carry forward with this story.
