A lot can go wrong in three days.

Having narrowly escaped with their lives, taking down Magma’s fortress in the process, William, Artan, Max, and their new friend Cyrus returned to Umbriel to rescue Matilda and Olga. But the girls were already gone …

On their way to become Grandfather Jacks' latest brides, Matilda and Olga have just three days until the ceremony on the next full moon. If the boys are quick they can get to Grandfather Jacks’ community in forty-eight hours. That's if they can get through the funnel; a narrow and hazardous path loaded with traps, pits, and those loyal to Grandfather Jacks.

Although Olga and Matilda are due to be delivered before the next full moon, their guards are a volatile pair. Unpredictable, hot-headed, and with poison in their veins, travelling with these two could be the undoing of them all.

Join the two groups in a life-threatening race against time as they embark on their harshest journey yet. Traps, gangs, and scores of diseased stand between them and their destination. And even if they do all survive, what will they find when they get to Grandfather Jacks’ community, and how on earth will they prevent the wedding he has planned?

Three Days is the sixth instalment in the fast-paced post-apocalyptic series Beyond These Walls.

“You talk about sins like he does, like, you’re an authority, when you’re nothing but a hypocrite.”
After reading everything worthwhile in this genre, Michael Robertson continuously surprises me! He takes the genre in a whole new direction. A gritty, at times horrifying story, everything seems to have gone wrong with enough twists to keep me guessing until the end. As always with the other installments in the series, this premise also kept me glued and snagged, totally mesmerised. Harsh, cruel instances, selfish, egocentric and sadist characters, life is strenuous enough to have to deal with these kind of obsessive people. More than zombies,-a sub genre I’m a bit adverse to- it is for me like a real life experience, normal people fighting to live another day, guided by their instincts of survival, no heroes, just their push and mental and physical strength to overcome the challenges and obstacles thrusted their way. How their feelings and emotions guide them towards a better understanding of moral conscience and ethics. Fast paced and energetic, exciting and thrilling, the series Beyond These Walls is action-adventure storytelling at its best! Really looking forward to reading #7!

What a fantastic entry that was!

Our heroes are split up by a crazy cult like community led by Grandfather Jacks.
They each fight their own battles to return to each other.

“You always need to be careful this side of the funnel. When you see one diseased, they might well be a part of a—” One of the lead nomads turned to those behind him and cupped his mouth to amplify his voice. “Swarm!”

All the while the world of BTW is expanding, from Edin to other communities, now there is a whole new world out there. South of the Funnel.
The diseased travel in hundreds of thousands and there is electricity 😱 their journey is about to get a lot harder.

I cant wait to see what else is out there.

Michael Robertson’s Beyond These Walls has yet to disappoint this reader! In this latest instalment we get answers to a number of questions as well as following William and the group on a very harrowing journey to their rendezvous with Grandfather Jacks to rescue Matilda and Olga. Definite must read for fans of Beyond These Walls. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.

This, book six in the series Beyond These Walls, covers three days of intense, nightmarish events through which the protagonists deal with extreme conditions and occurrences. I read it straight through while turning pages as quickly as I could. I can hardly wait for the next book. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this ebook from the author and this is my honest and freely given opinion.

Summary:
As we stand form book5, The girls were taken to become brides to Grandfather Jack’s in three days and the guys are determined to save them. Now Olga and Matilda are anything but helpless and if they get a chance god help their captures. The trip to Grandfather Jack’s strong hold has many dangers from the diseased, traps created long ago, to different groups that will go to any lengths to overpower anyone who enters their territory.

This was a hair raising book that placed everyone in danger. They quickly learned that they could trust only themselves. Anyone they meets could have a hidden agenda. The Guys faced many dangers and all they had to learn to trust in each of their strengths if they were to survive. Once again, Olga and Matilda proved that their will to survive would be their greatest asset. I will be waiting impatiently for book 7 in the Beyond These Walls series.

This post apocalyptic survival thriller just keeps getting better with each book we read. In this, the 5th book in the series, the girls, Olga and Matilda are separated from the boys, William, Artan, Max and Cyrus and the girls have been captured by Grandfather Jack's thugs and are being taken to his community in time for the full moon ritual in three days time. Although three days is not a long time so much can happen, but still the clock was ticking and time was running out. The boys are following on the girls tracks, hoping to reach them before the full moon, where unless saved the girls would be offered as brides to the lecherous old religious zealot. The girls suffer at the hands of their two crazy captors and even more so when they arrive at the asylum. I had thought that the stint in National Service had been bad, but the experiences the girls go through in this book are sheer horror. To think that with the virus and the diseased all over the place causing so much havoc other living surviving human beings, such as those under Grandfather Jack's tyranny, would not stoop so low as to cause so much pain to other human survivors. This is so crazy, and only humans can reach such depths of lowly depravity, and brainwashed, religious zealot fanatics are the worst! Olga is a real bad-ass heroine in this book, courageous and gritty even when her life is on the line. This is one hell of a nail biting novel which cannot be put down till the last line is read. I cannot wait for the next book in this exciting and terrifying series.

Mr. Robertson is an excellent writer, who has created a dangerous world that was almost completely destroyed, but for reasons that have not yet been revealed. This book, the sixth in the series, continues to be an engrossing story.

Our group of young survivors from the town of Edin are exploring the outside world to learn about what else might be in this world besides hordes of diseased and infrequent bands of Edin refugees and others who could easily be killers. The girls have been abducted, with the plan being to present them to Grandfather Jacks, a pedophile running a strange religious cult, as possible marriage partners, during the full moon observance, three days hence. The boys set out to rescue them, with only an old map to guide them, encountering marauding hunters and a huge steel wall separating north and south territories, with hidden deadly traps that hamper their best efforts. Mr. Robertson continues to develop the characters as they interact to survive their trials and his descriptions make the surroundings come alive. The action is constant, full of surprises, and keeps the reader riveted to the story.

Although I obtained an ARC, I also bought the book, to help support this great author. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

With Olga and Matilda captured and taken to the phoney-baloney prophet, Grandfather Jacks, to be prepared for womanhood (ew), the chaps must navigate through a mighty wall, loaded up with deadly traps. They must get past the tribes who would sell them in a hot minute beneath the wall. And they must find a way to the asylum. But with Max sorting out his feelings about Olga, and Cyrus losing his nerve, will Spike and Artan get to Matilda in time? And in a palace where they must watch what they say or risk barbaric torture, will Olga be able to hold her tongue?

Even though the blood-eyed zombies have appeared and brought destruction throughout this series, this novel felt more ominous and chilling than previous books. Grandfather Jacks is a truly chilling character and the girls’ erstwhile insistence that they don’t need rescuing had me worried for a good long while in case they actually did, and their rescuers might not get there in time.

Thankfully, the characters have fortitude as well as smart mouths so (not going to ruin it for you), some of them might just make it through this book alive.

So, this book was a huge improvement compared to the other so far in this series. But it's also the one that had me decide to not finish the series.
I like the character development mostly but I am just not the right audience for this.
I am a horror girl. I knew who Chucky was before I knew who Snow White was... but the treatment of women in this book was gross. It has a lot of pedophilia tones and torture and violence towards women, young girls, and even young boys.
The perp gets whats coming to him, I guess. But still- this is just not for me.
I read the first 6 because I nought the entire box set but I won't continue to purchase or read.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This is the last story in the box set I have and it's another great installment in the series.

Evil is swarming from all sides and that's not counting the diseased (and they can't help what they are). Humanity is seen at its worse but even then there are pinpricks of decency.

Plenty of action, emotions and reactions - perfect for character development. Fast-paced and well-written (though please, it's 'me neither' not 'either').

Extremely enjoyable and highly recommended.

This is a great instalment and these books have definitely improved from book 1. I thought the first 3 books were really amateur, basically YA books with terrible dialogue and literally no character development, but the last few have been good. The new settings have definitely been an improvement and I loved the twisted Grandfather Jacks story and the asylum setting. And although this still feels like a YA book, it definitely deals with more serious subjects.

While the other reviews for this novel in the Beyond These Walls series seem generally positive, I had mixed feelings when it came to this instalment. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the sections about the girls and their subplot, I found that some of the scenes with the boys threw off the general pace of the book. At times I wished that Robertson had split the two subplots into two books, if only so I could have devoured more about the girls' experiences.

This series is riveting. What I found enjoyable with this instalment is that the author has seamlessly expanded the storyline’s universe. We follow William and Co. on the what is an almost impossible mission.

I throughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next book in the series to be released.

Another excellent entry in this survivor thriller series!the part that I truly appreciate is that the undead are for all intensive purposes a backdrop to the story.the truly terrifying aspect of it all is what us humans are capable of booth good and evil in a apocalyptic setting.getting ready to saddle up and ride into book 7.

So so

I don't know where to begin. This was a free download and I really don't like the way death bookended knowing that if I wanted to find out what was going on I'd have to keep reading. I think I'll just leave it for now.

Another great read in this series. I was straight back with the characters from the very first word.
William Artan Max and Cyrus are making there way to Grandfather Jack's compound to rescue Matilda and Olga. But will they survive the journey through the hostile terrain and will they be in time to stop Matilda and Olga becoming Grandfather Jack's new brides.
Full of tension and unexpected twists and turns a great addition to the series very difficult to put down
