A ruthless omega with a chip on his shoulder meets the alpha patient enough to show him love.

Nolan found solace as an agent in the Omega Assassins Club. The only place he ever felt accepted, it is his home and the other operatives in his pack are his family. He knows he’s messed up, everyone in his pack is in their own way, but Nolan’s past refuses to let him think about the future.

Without his pack knowing, Nolan moonlights in a kink house where the rich and powerful pay him large amounts to tell them they were worthless. He doesn’t have to touch them, not if he doesn’t want to, and on the plus side, he gets to see alphas for what they truly are, spineless.

But when one of his clients is dead before Nolan can walk into the room and the police rush in, he knows he’s been set up. Too bad the detective assigned to his case is the only alpha Nolan ever opened his heart to. The same man who had set Nolan’s life into the tailspin that ended with him begging to be let into the OAC.

Detective Benjamin Barlow never forgot the omega who got away. Nolan had dug a hole in his heart that still festered, but the self-possessed omega he sees now is nothing like the shy, grateful boy of his memories. Nolan’s loathing for him tells Benjamin there’s more to the omega’s story than he’s letting on.

It’s clear someone is after Nolan, and after a second attempt at his life, Benjamin puts his foot down. His omega will stay with him, in his home, maybe then they can find out what tore them apart all those years ago.
But will he be able to accept the truth?

Shatter is the fourth book in the Omega Assassins Club. It is packed with action but with the same spice, humor, and heart. A swoon-worthy HEA is guaranteed! Other books in the Omega Assassins Club include:
Fervor
Quench
Behemoth

Oh Nolan...

Nolan has the most heart wrenching story of them all. I wondered what had made him so angry at alphas to begin with. And his crazy zeal for carrying out missions was also troublesome. Now we know! And it’s not pretty ☹️ I do wish we have a more natural progression for his reconciliation. It was a bit too sudden for me.

But otherwise, an awesome addition to this series!

I’ve long been a fan of Kikis works, but this one was very different then the rest. The world is darker, the shadowy parts not hidden or just spoken about, but actually shown; and Kiki showed it perfectly. Now I haven’t read the rest of the series (YET) but this definitely works a stand-alone, and I wasn’t lost at all. My heart hurt for Nolan, and everything he went through, but it was so amazing to see him harden and change and show all those who underestimated him how absolutely dumb that was. Benji was great too, loving and supportive, but Nolan stole the show. And while this was a romance (with plenty of action to go with it), it was so much more. Because at its heart it was Nolan’s story, and Nolan was a grumpy but amazing badass.

Bittersweet, second chance romance.

Arc copy courtesy of LesCourt
All reviews are voluntary and my honest opinion.

Nolan's book doesn't end in m-preg, it's a bit different, in a refreshing way.
I really enjoy Kiki Burrelli's squad of vigilante Omegas. The boys are considered fragile and weak, being underestimated allows them to target abusive Alpha scum.

Nolan has a particularly dark past in this second chance romance. No major kink. M-preg. Hea.

I don't know why, but this one didn't move me as much as the previous books in the series. It was still fast paced and hard to put down, but TBH I didn't much care for Nolan, nor did I feel we got to know Benji that well.

In any case, this series is one of my favorites in omegaverse, and I really hope more books will be coming soon, not counting Zed's...

This is the fourth book in the Omega Assassins series. This book was definitely my favourite.

I was in tears just reading the prologue. I cried for Nolan and everything he lost. My poor eyes had a rest from the waterworks but the epilogue made me well up again.

I’ve been looking forward to reading Nolan’s story and the author delivered a story that completely blew me away. This book was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. The depth of emotion the author captured was done beautifully.

Fantastic story and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Another great addition to the series. Sexy assassins, secret conspiracies, multiple babies, and second chances what’s not to love in this action packed sequel?

Shew, I knew this was going to be some story, but I was not prepared for how heart wrenching it was going to be. I knew something was up with Nolan. His adamance at not being touched and how he hated alphas so bad. I knew there was something bad going on. Man, this one took me through the wringer. But to be honest, I think it’s my favorite one out of all of them so far.
Nolan has been through some stuff in his life and no one knows the full extent. They just know he has issues and he’s not about to share what they’re about. And one of his issues lead him to working as a Master in a pleasure house on his downtime. But apparently, him seeing someone he shouldn’t have seen, led him to be set up for a murder of the century and everyone seems to be in on it, as far as making sure he’s set up or dead. All except one cop. One Nolan has never gotten over but is too angry to deal with. Benjamin. His ex and part of the reason his past was so bad. But Nolan doesn’t have time to deal with Benji. Even though Benji he has made it clear he’s not backing away. As they dig deeper into their past, and dig into what is going on now, there are quite a few surprises and none of them seem good. And it’s a race against time on who’s going to try to kill Nolan and any one around him first.
Even through Nolan’s hard exterior, I knew there was something up. He was just too hard. It was a defense mechanism and it was obvious to a blind man. But he wasn’t telling and honestly, after reading why, I don’t blame him. Everything is thrown in his face every single day. And to be honest, I don’t know how he hasn’t snapped before now. Thankfully, yes, he found a kind of family in the OAC. He considers them more family than he cares to admit. But being around them and what’s happening, reminds him of everything that has happened. And then there’s Benji. Not having a clue whatsoever as to what happened. All he knew was what he was told. And it was all a lie. And it broke my heart for him as well. Because had interfering parents and entitled morons not messed in something they shouldn’t have, then these two could have been a lot happier years ago. But instead, they had to make up for lost time, and break down some heavy walls to get at the heart of all that happened. And it wasn’t an easy thing. I think that’s why I care about Nolan’s story so much. All of them have had their own issues, but for Nolan, it was horror. And the strength Nolan found, even in all the turmoil, is what was makes him so special.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book. I loved getting an insight into why Nolan is the way he is. His back story was very hard to read. All I can say is that the bad guys totally deserved what they got. I’m glad Nolan found out about OAC when he needed them the most. I loved the connection between Nolan and Benji, even right from the start and again when they found each other after years. I’m glad how well Benji believed and accepted Nolan and the guys explanation about what they do and that they’re all apart of OAC, considering that he’s a police detective. I loved how after Benji reacted badly when Nolan told him about the procedure he chose to have and the reasoning behind it because he never wanted to go through losing another son like he already had. After Benji thought about it and made up with Nolan when he saw him again, he explained himself and that what he should’ve said was that he agrees/supports Nolan’s decision, and that if Nolan wants to have kids they can adopt, which Nolan was completely ecstatic about. I also loved how Benji used the information that Nolan told him about what happened the night that he was attacked and Ben was taken from him to see if he could find Ben and surprise Nolan. It was such a cute moment between Omega father and his lost son Ben. I’m looking forward to reading Zed, Remmington and Peppa’s story. I’d definitely recommend this book, series & author to everyone.

I absolutely enjoyed reading this truly outstanding MM/Mpreg romance with a “second-chance” undertone. It is somewhat darker than the previous books but it is definitely an excellent addiction to the “Assassins Club Series” There are some character crossovers from the previous books but this book can be read as a standalone. The plot is well-paced & full of unexpected, intriguing situations/events. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are strong-willed individuals & are quite realistic with their emotional feelings & expectations but have the inclination to be devious and/or dangerous at times.
There is: a omega assassin (Nolan) with memories of a painful past is framed for a murder he did not commit then a alpha (Detective Benjamin Barlow) from his past is placed in charge of his case, a Omega Assassin Club, law enforcement, assassins, omegas, alphas, betas, corruption, twists & turns, suspense, intrigue, secrets, mystery, action, adventure, danger, threats, enemies, confrontations, violence, conflict, deceit, betrayal, devastating memories, verbal disagreements, manipulations, protectiveness, discovery, decisions, unexpected surprises, complications, mates, love, happiness, some steam & a delightfully, happy conclusion. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading this genre.

Nolan and Benjie were meant to be together but impossible circumstances involving two sets of despicable parents lead to two lives torn apart for far too long. Nolan has paid a very heavy price for his love of Benjie: Lost love, lost child, lost life. But when rescued by the Omega Assassins Club he has found a home. As for Benjie; why had he left Nolan's side? Need I say parents who only looked at him as a selfish means to status. He did prove them wrong and chose his own path. A path that led him back to Nolan; a path to win back the love of his life. Here is a story full of passion, pride, sexual attacks, corruption, betrayal, deaths, births (under the most unusual and stress induced circumstances), and emotional bonding to the highest degree. As an aside I must mention that Morse Code is an unexpected descriptor that can't be missed. This is the 4th and final story in Ms. Burrelli's series and I liked to recommend starting at book #1 to lay the basis for this story. All the main characters from each of the other books play their roles in this book and by reading the previous stories a good foundation is laid for what transpires in this the last book. I did receive this reading as an ARC from the LesCourt ARC team.

This is an amazing addition to the OAC series and it is my favorite so far. Shatter is well written, full of danger and suspense, heartbreakingly sad, full of hope, hilarious, deals with some difficult issues, has wonderful characters, shows that second chances are worth fighting for and has a beautiful ending. Nolan has kept going in spite of the horrific things he has had to deal with in his past but seeing Benji again could break him for good. Benji never forgot Nolan but once he realizes what kept them apart for the last few years he is determined to get him back. Their parents caused a lot of the issues they are facing now and the secrets they kept could have kept Nolan and Benji apart forever. Clearing up the misunderstandings in their past is only the start to fixing their relationship but nothing will keep Benji away from Nolan now. Luckily they have Nolan's fellow assassins and their partners there to help and support them as they deal with the threats against Nolan and the corrupt police department. The secondary characters are amazing and I love seeing how the couples from the previous stories are doing. I can't wait to read the next book in this incredible series.

In this 4th book in the series we have Nolan, and Nolan broke my heart. What happens to him prior to him joining OAC was horrible. Not only is Nolan an assassin, but he also works on the side at a kink club that alphas go to be degraded. Benjamin is a detective and hasn't seen Nolan in about 6 years. When Nolan is accused of killing a client, he runs into Benjamin and they realize that there still is a spark. But Nolan is ready to forgive him for leaving him all those years ago. When it's determined that someone not only has set Nolan up, but they are out to kill him, Benjamin's protective instincts kick in and takes him home only for the killers come after him there. Needless to say, his family at OAC comes together to protect him & find out what is going on. Finally, Nolan and Benjamin come clean on what happened all those years ago and they realize that neither wanted to leave the other. What Benjamin was able to do in the end brought tears to my eyes. I love this series.

Redemption, second chances, suspense, finding family and a heartbreaking romance, all in one story. Absolutely amazing read!
Dearest Nolan, the omega assassin with the hardest, most brittle edges… it figured he had a painful past, but I wasn’t prepared for the emotional heartbreak of it. I really liked how the story built up, showing us so much of his youth and relationship with Benji, before everything went to pieces in the cruelest way. I loved how fierce and strong Nolan is throughout the story, such a survivor, and how Benji always saw and admired that side of him, and when Nolan shows his softer, more vulnerable side, he is just impossible to resist. I loved seeing Benji and Nolan find their way back to each other, they certainly deserved their second chance!
It was also a lot of fun and heartwarming to see Nolan becoming more secure about his place in the (new) OAC and finding himself accepted and cared for by his friends.
The epilogue was everything I hoped for. Absolutely beautiful and deeply moving.

Two men who are meant to be together but are torn apart. Nolan lives with his pain but tries to move on with his life but when fate brings Benjamin back into his life everything changes. The two men must learn to trust and love again. It seems that someone wants Nolan out of the picture, but Benjamin is determined not to let that happen and as they spend more time together and start to open up Nolan and Benjamin find the truth but is it enough?

This is a beautiful story full of emotions and strong characters. I enjoyed seeing these men find their way back to each other. Their story is a wonderful addition to this series. The author does a great job of keeping this series fresh and each book is engaging. Nolan and Benjamin’s book is full of emotions and will pull at your heart. I loved seeing how these two work to find a happy ever after. They learn just how strong their bond is and the love shows through in everything that they do. Once the men find the truth about their love nothing will stand in their way.

I don’t know if I can read this book. I love the assassin idea, but I got the book and skimmed briefly and saw the below quote. The alpha’s first thought about the omega getting a hysterectomy is “what if I didn’t want you to do that?” and I just about lost it. They weren’t even together then, and the omega went through something traumatizing and afterward decided he never wanted kids again, and this mother****er is immediately worried about how he can impregnate this omega and can’t imaging why he’d ever not want more kids? Nuh uh. No. Red flag.

“They offered the procedure at my request at the OAC. Infertility surgery. A hysterectomy, specifically."
I heard what he said; I just didn't understand why he was saying it. What he was talking about wasn't just illegal everywhere in the world—it was insane to contemplate. He'd purposefully made it so he couldn't have children?

This is a fantastic addition to the series! There is darkness, betrayal, and - eventually - love. This is a harsh world for omegas, and Nolan has received some of the worst treatment, from his parents to the system to the world. This book really reveals the skewed world Nolan lives in and the twisted *justice* system. Fortunately the former love of his childhood is there to help him when he is framed. Nolan and Benjamin were both led on, lied to, and betrayed by their parents regarding each other, though, so it isn't the warmest reunion. Nolan's friends in the OAC are there to help, too, in the continuing war on injustice and corrupt Alphas. This is a wild ride full of action, mystery, surprises, and betrayal. I recommend this book and the whole series.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

SHATTER by @kikiburrelli

I didn’t know what to expect from Nolan’s story. He was kind of a jerk, his backstory was so different from the others. So I didn’t know what to expect going into his story. Even the summary had me on the fence. My GAWD @kikiburrelli are you trying to kill me with all the feels?! I read half of this book last night and couldn’t stop thinking about it! I woke up thinking about it, did errands while thinking about it. Finally I had to drop everything and decide to finish it in one sitting! It was the only option. Nolan was a sweet, strong, fierce guy who was a victim of his circumstances. And Benji was just enough alpha to prove his love after a lot turmoil. Just couldn’t say more good things about it!

An excellent book

I've read several of this author's books and enjoyed them but this is the first one in this series that I have read and I found it to be an awful world in which they live.

I know that there are misogynists out there and there are all manner of haters too but to see the complete abuse of a designation is sickening and it's hard to stomach even though this is fiction. It's easy to see aspects of this in every day life.

Nolan is amazing given the hand he was dealt and Benji is a good man but their parents deserved a scalpel behind their knees!

Definitely worth reading but I don't think that I will read any of the others.

Wonderful continuation of this series!. An interesting, action-packed, full of danger plot, in between a second chance romance with many heartbreaking situations caused by miscommunication between Nolan and Benjamin, but with the hope for an HEA. The backstory was again brilliant as in the previous books, and family and love saved the day. I cried a little but enjoyed a lot until the very end of this book four. Great reading!! I cannot wait for book 5!

Noah and Benji’s story is filled with so heartache and angst you couldn’t help but fill sorry for them. Their romance and love for each other helped them prevail over what happens to them. Nolan lost it all his first love, his child, and everything he knew. The Omega Assassin Club saved his life and helped him overcame his past. Nolan never gave up on his love for Benji despite his parent’s interference. The book is filled with action, romance, pain, love, a lot of angst, and the MCs get their happily ever after. The book is very intense and filled with emotions

Well, that epilogue had me in tears and tugged at my heart in a beautiful way.

I found the conclusion to Nolan’s case to be wrapped up a little to quickly and without enough explanation for my taste. Other then that I loved this story.

Nolan and Benjamin were perfect for each other. At times I really felt for both men as neither had it easy when it came to being together. I enjoyed that the OAC crew was a pack, protecting what was theirs.

This story was action packed with a bit of mystery and suspense. It was definitely emotional at just about every turn.

A great second chance romance filled with action, mystery, and lots of lovin'. Nolan and Benjamin should have been together all along but they were torn apart by their parents and were separated for a long time. So much happened during that time and now they find themselves thrown together when Nolan is framed for murder and Benjamin is the detective assigned to the case. It's not easy but it is a wonderful journey full of passion and a lot of other things to a spectacular HEA for these two very deserving characters. Shatter by Kiki Burrelli is the fourth book in the Omega Assassins Club series. It is an omegaverse m/m romance with a second chance romance, assassins, shifters and an mpreg. There is a lot of drama, violence, danger, secrets, emotion, and steam. There were a few parts that hit me in the feels... then other parts were I rooted as omegas kicked some serious @$$. This is one of those series I will be re-reading.

Now this is one of the stories I have been waiting for. I absolutely love Nolan and Benji's second chance at love. This is such a heartbreaking story right in the beginning and I just had to know more about these two. I couldn't put this one down. I am on the edge my seat throughout this whole story and I couldn't be happy with this one. This is so far my favorite of this series and I can't wait for the next one!!

Wow, I really felt for Nolan during this story, and Benji too actually. Nolan was framed for murder and the whole plot played out wonderfully from their past lives together, to present. This was quite action packed and full of mystery and intrigue. The writing was excellent and the pace of the story flowed very smoothly. The ending was beautiful and totally brought happy tears to my eyes. This was amazing. =)

What a fantastic, grab-you-by-the-feels, amazing, emotionally charged, bittersweet, poignant, heartbreaking yet ultimately hopeful, made-me-shed-tears-of-both-sadness-and-joy, intense, powerful, action packed, sexy, and totally awesome story. It pulled me in from the very first page, and I read it in one sitting because I just could NOT put it down. I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this marvelous book and series ASAP!

I really liked Nolan. He was so hurt and so broken, but he managed to get beyond that and to make something of himself, as well as create a chosen family. I think that he was really strong and had a lot of gumption to do that.

Benjamin had his own issues, and they did make holes in him, but not like Nolan. I think that he was a little too trusting sometimes, but overall, he was doing everything he could.

I really liked this book and I want to read their story over and over.

This is my first book from this author. I thought this was a fantastic story and told very well. I didn’t feel lost in their omegaverse. This was really Nolan’s story however, Benji plays a huge part in Nolan’s story. My heart broke for Nolan several times during this story but there is also triumph as well. I look forward to starting at the beginning of this series.
