The first time Emma meets Noel is at a midsummer night bonfire in Stockholm. She’s wrapped in his denim jacket, busy falling for someone else. But as summer comes to an end, she learns that her budding relationship was nothing more than a fling, and so she vows to swear off love. First of all, I love the way Lina describes things, she has such a beautiful way of making things sound beautiful, even in a moment of sadness and heartbreak; and while this book may have a lower rating than what I was hoping to give it, I want to express that she is a beautiful author.
Noel is an absolute sweetheart, but I feel as though the have more of himself to Emma than Emma did to him. He was nothing but wonderful to her and while I understand some of things she did, she always had one foot out of the door, and she wasn’t ready despite saying she was.
Emma is a lovely woman, but she really needed to work on herself before getting into a relationship with Noel after Adam. My heart broke for her over Frank, and I would’ve loved to see more of her in the future wise. My main frustration was her consistent foot out of the door.
The pacing was way too quick for my liking which I felt really affected the chemistry for me. The way the story ended with the epilogue being of how they first met should’ve been at the start of the story, it would’ve of been great to see that chemistry from the start. It almost felt as if things were forced rather than letting it progress naturally.
Despite the slightly low rating, I will be getting the second book as I would really love to know about Caroline’s story! Also, CAN WE JUST APPRECIATE THE BEAUTIFUL COVER?! It is GORGEOUS.

I’m conflicted, honestly. I don’t usually read romantic novels, to say the least. But I felt like reading something light, unexpected. And it was what you would expect of a romance story. I liked Noel, he had some really nice moments. Although through the story it felt like he gave so much more of himself than Emma. And that’s probably the one thing I missed, to just see her take more place and bloom. It felt like she just threw herself into that relationship so fast, forgot the feelings she felt towards Adam without enough contemplation considering the story takes place during a couple of months only. It was all a little bit too fast for me I think, some things are better left unsaid.

Remembering June was such a beautiful and aesthetic book. I started reading Lina's books on episode and was so excited to find out she was publishing a novel. Both character's help each other understand themselves better and discover things they never would've discovered without each other. I would love to see some more novels from Lina. I absolutely recommend reading this beautiful book!!

Lina's writing style always made butterflies appear in my stomach and so did this book. Reread it thrice! It's very beautifully written!
