This series has been so much fun from the very beginning and truly does seem to get even better with each new adventure. I adore a good ghost story and Bryan always delivers with one that will not only have chills running up and down my spine the whole time, eagerly turning the pages, but also one that makes me leave the lights on because, you know, ghosts! Who doesn't love a good ghost story after all?
The kind that makes you shudder and question those bumps in the night. The kind that have you looking over your shoulder as you are reading to make sure no one is creeping in the shadows watching you. The kind that completely can take your breath away and still leave you wanting more.
I love this series and this latest, set in a library of all places, truly was a treat. So much fun. So spooky, so chilling and I devoured every single page.
Another amazing edition to the series and I am so glad it is still going strong and I can't wait for the next one.

It's good to have Ellie on a case again without having her personal ghost issue involved in things now. It's nice to just have a haunted house, ghosts, or other entities to deal with! Book 12 and the series is still awesome! If you are thinking about starting this series, start at book one!
This book has lots of ghostly action, and something else! This something else is strong enough to toss people around! This is one dangerous being! I enjoyed how the clues were given and all the twists and turns came about! Very witty and clever dialogue too! I really enjoy these books.

It's been a hot minute since I read the last Ellie Jordan book, so I was really excited to dive into this one! I missed Ellie and Stacey and their fun bickering! 😂 And things get even more fun once Jacob arrives! The quips between the characters is one of my favorite things about this series! And just the characters in general! I love Jacob and Ellie and Stacey who is just really sassy and bubbly! I love her!
The house they investigate in this book sounds incredible! There are books literally everywhere! There are books at the entrance, lining the walls, and up the stairs! It's as if the entire house was a library!
Their client, Cherise, is working to catalogue and organize all the books that belonged to the professor who lived there and recently died. And there's some pretty disturbing stuff in there about raising demons and communicating with the dead and such things. Sounds pretty interesting to me, but it's no wonder they're having some spookiness going on in the house 😅
Unraveling what was going on in the house was a ride! There were some super messed up things and some super gross things, and I enjoyed every minute of it! 🙈😂
I loved this book! The setting was absolutely incredible! It was so fun imagining this crazy house full of books... And ghosts! Can't forget about that! 😂 I love books with ghosts and hauntings, and this is one of my favorite series on the subject. It was also pretty spooky, had an interesting mystery, and of course, had lovable characters! I highly recommend the series! You don't necessarily have to read the previous books to read this one—it stands on it's own pretty well—but you should anyway cause all the previous books are great too! 😊

As good as ever
I enjoyed this book as much as all the others in this series my only problem being I couldn’t put it down so finished it too quickly ! But having preordered number 13 I have something to look forward to

Scary fun
One of my fave series. Ellie and Stacey are wonderful characters and Jacob too. And the book has actual scary parts unlike a lot of other horror books I've read. On to the next one...

The library of the Damned
I was so happy to return to the world of Ellie Jordan and , once again, I was not disappointed. This another was a tough job for Ellie and the ever optimistic Stacey. Especially after the last ordeal they had fighting Ellie's personal demon. She was victorious but it cost her a great deal. You'd think the spooks would give her a break but no. The duo make their long journey to a old plantation mansion house, owner by a mysterious Professor who'd recently departed for The Afterlife. The shout for help came one of two sister's who were living in the house. The old sister, Cherise, was a University student making extra money by cataloguing the Professors rare and rather creepy book collection for his estate. The action pretty much starts straight away with ghosts popping up here and there. The old mansion is basically a library stuffed to the rafters with rare and expensive volumes. A place worth exploring. As Ellie and Stacy delve deeper into the Professors past, things become more treacherous for all those within the house. What happened to the late Professor in his final moments in his beloved library, who is haunting the creepy family cemetery and what is the caped figure trying to tell them. It's another mystery that Ellie has to get the answers to and nothing is going to scare her off. I really hope Ellie and her team are around for a long time yet. A thoroughly enjoyable, nail biting read.

Ellie Jordan Returns to Haunting Heights in "The Necromancer's Library"
J.L. Bryan's twelfth instalment in the Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series, "The Necromancer's Library," has easily become one of my favourite book in the series so far.
Even after a lengthy break from the series, jumping back into Ellie's world felt effortless. Bryan's writing is engaging as ever, quickly pulling me into the suspenseful narrative. The case itself is particularly intriguing, taking Ellie to a location any bookworm would swoon over – a house transformed entirely into a library!
Imagine floor-to-ceiling bookshelves lining every hallway, books piled high on staircases, and dusty tomes crowding every corner. For a bibliophile like me, the setting was pure enchantment. However, the thrill is laced with a touch of unease, as parts of the library specialises in the occult, containing sections dedicated to black magic! This chilling detail adds a perfect layer of intrigue to the mystery.

I received The Necromancer’s Library from the author for review. I’ve really enjoyed this series and was really excited to get hold of a copy for review.
The book picks up with Ellie and Stacey travelling to a house to investigate a haunting, but upon arrival find out that things aren’t what they seem. After introductions and investigations they stay on, ready to investigate this haunted house and find out who or what is haunting the occupiers.
I love the Ellie Jordan series and look forward to each new instalment, knowing that each new one will bring a new story or ghost to investigate, and The Necromancer’s Library brings several ghosts to us. What I really love about this book is that it kept you guessing over what ghost was doing which haunting, which was good or evil, and even what was causing the haunting.
I loved the twists and turns that the book takes you through as Ellie and Stacey dig deep into the history of the house, and most recent events, to discover how they can help and get rid of the ghosts.
Although it’s been a long gap between books, I found it easy to jump back into this series, and it felt like I’d never been away.

I’ve been reading Bryan’s Ellie Jordan series from the beginning and he’s managed to give me the creeps once again. A haunted library filled with medieval occult manuscripts. Ooh, can’t wait to see what Ellie catches in her trap.
Ellie is not one to shirk the dull side of gathering background information. She needs every bit of it if she’s going to catch her ghost, or ghosts. The author does a great job of making what seems tedious to Ellie, fascinating for me, the reader.
Ellie’s partner in crime, Stacey is another character I’m always happy to meet again. She adds the humor to the story for me and for Ellie. And a bit of humor may be needed to keep them sane. The place is crammed with books. Every available space is full of them. And as they get closer to solving the case, things start to get more dangerous.
A couple of things that make me love this series are the genuine, likable main characters and the super spooky ghosts and their shenanigans that really creep me out. It takes a lot to creep me out and Bryan does it every time.

This haunting pushes Ellie to her limits.
Two sisters live together in a very weird house, the owner (on his death) left instructions for his library to be catalogued, it must be completed in a year and the person cataloguing it MUST live in, not so easy as the house has more books than a regular library, three stories of them in every room. This is how Candice and her sister Aria came to be living there. Aria has seen a.woman crying walking in the hallway by the bedrooms, she seems to want Aria to follow her, but then the ghost turns very frightening, Candice doesn't take her seriously so she goes.behind her back and contacts Ellie and Stacey to come see what they make of it. The girls are obviously not given the best welcome but Aria and Ellie convince her to give them one night to see what happens. So begins a case which taxes Ellie and Stacey to the extreme with an entity which seems like it could be Demonic, an entity that is determined to fight like hell ( no pun intended). The girls are in for the battle of their lives of they hope to resolve this haunting.

Even though this is the 12th book in the Ellie Jordan, Ghost Trapper series, it’s not getting old… if anything, each book makes me want more. The stories and adventures are all fresh, the ghosts are terrifying, the locations are all unique and spooky and the characters are full of wit and their personalities are a perfect balance to each other. Yeah, it’s not hard to tell that I’m kinda in love with Ellie and her crew. 😉
The Necromancer’s Library was not what I expected, but that’s nothing new when it comes to this series. A library should be anything but evil, right? Well this one was a combination of impressive and terrifying. There were quite a few twists, turns and surprises, as well as secrets kept by more than one person. There were also unexpected allies thrown into the mix. In other words, JL Bryan held nothing back.
There were also some ominous hints of things to come, which is also nothing new. This series isn’t slowing down at all and I can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Ellie and company next.

Love but need Love
This is a typical Ellie Jordan book. All the aspects I like about this series. Scary ghosts, haunting imagery, and gasp out loud scenes. All good, but typical. I guess I was expecting more. I mean the last two books were a lot. Especially Fire Devil. I was ready to know the aftermath of all that intensity. But this barely touched on any of it. I find it strange. The end with Ellie and Michael is sweet but generic. They mention the recent past but without depth. I want more on their relationship. I also kind of miss the English guy from when Eckhart got bought out. He seemed into Ellie. She needs to be pursued more. She needs more love and affection to balance out all the death and negativity.

This author never ever ceases to surprize me. Here we are with another Ellie Jordan Ghost Trapper adventure, number 12 in the series, and he has managed to write the whole book with a brand new story adventure that involves and enthrals the reader from page one. We still have our favourite 2 intrepid trappers, Ellie and Stacey and their boyfriends who assist at times, Jacob and Michael. I've always liked this author and all the books he has written so far, that I have read, but I like him even more now that he has made this statement spoken by Ellie

Another Cracking Read!
Ellie and Stacey head off to a mansion where a young student and her sister are living whilst the older girl has been hired to catalogue the vast library in order to inherit the former owner's estate.
The older sister takes some convincing that her sister feels like the house is haunted and doesn't really want Ellie to hold up her work to investigate the strange occurences.
The story is centred mainly around the late owner and I marvel at the way JL creates his ghostly characters and their reasons for hauntings!?
Off to read book 13 ... Unlucky for some they say ... Just hope it isn't JL and Fans!!!

Once again Bryan proves, with his 12th Ellie Jordan book, that he could keep the stories unique and coming forever. Ellie and Stacey find themselves in an old library with stories that rival the most fearsome of ghost tales.
I am one of those that love a good zombie story and never gets too scared. But guys, this one freaked me the freak out. All his books do. This one seemed to really get to me. Maybe it has been a minute since I read the last book of this series and my mind forgot that Bryan gets a little dark with these books. But yeah, it was awesome and I absolutely recommend it. 5 Stars!

Super entry in the series. Scary as hell. Very well written. Even sidekick Stacey wasn't as annoying as she usually is. She still got on my nerves from time to time but not as much as in previous books. I did miss Ellie's sweetheart, Michael, as he made only a brief appearance at the end of the book. I would really like to see a lot more action between the two of them as I think they could have some great chemistry between them. The ghost backstory was interesting and there were surprises a plenty. And so many scary things happened. I continue to love the series and will be picking up the next book soon.

Loved it!
I loved this, the 13th, Ellie Jordan book! It wasn’t as slow to get to the point as some have been but I think it may have also seemed shorter. I didn’t like the face that calvin seemed to be an after thought and Anton Clay is barely mentioned. Speaking of... I feel like I missed something entirely with him. Any hoo, the haunted library was totally awesome! Throw backs to ghostbusters and all kinds of fun 80’s-90’s stuff made me laugh.
Can not wait for the next one.

The Return of Ellie Jordan!!
It has been a long time since we last saw Ellie Jordan and her friends in action and boy have I missed her! The investigators are invited to a creepy expansive mansion. It is not your normal mansion however as almost every wall is filled with bookshelves stuffed with books. The books belonged to a Professor who apparently dabbled in the occult. The mansion appears to be haunted and Ellie and her crew are drawn into a horrifying haunting. Will they be able to unravel the truth in time to save everyone?

Probably 3 1/2 stars but I'm so relieved that they are back to being the sort of book I want to read that I'm happy to say 4. So so happy to not be dealing with the carry over of the fire dude anymore.
In this one Ellie is exploring the haunting of a dude's mansion who was into some seriously creepy research about the occult. Content aside, I'm having severe library envy.
At any rate, it ends in a place which makes sense, and I really enjoyed coming back to the mystery/adventure style of story. Looking forward to the next one.

Good but not as great
I have loved this series since book 1 and was so excited to read it. While I liked it I didnt love it as much as the previous ones. Most of the books in this series pull me in right from the start and make me want to keep reading to the end. This one seemed a little slow going up until the very end. Then it was over. Never the less thou...I cant wait for the next book!

I really enjoyed reading this book. Ellie and Stacey go to a mansion that is haunted by two spirits and a demon type being which sucks everything people. One of the spirits is chained to a book he wrote about bringing people back from the dead. The other is the man who did the rituals from the book and it all went wrong. Ellie and Stacey have to call Jacob to help. I can't wait for the next book.

Once again, the latest book in the Ellie Jordan series provides serious action and chills galore as Ellie and Stacy agree to help two sisters by investigating strange occurrences in their present home. Is it just coincidental noises or something more sinister lurking in this mansion filled with seriously creepy historical books...books that the older sister has been charged with cataloguing within a deadline of one year. Each story gets spookier and I can’t wait for #13 to be published.

Amazing
This author's books are always so very good a this one was no exception. I truly enjoy these books. You can read the series from the beginning but each book is a self-contained story. Great characters and plots. This was about a rambling, huge haunted library in an old mansion. It was so well written that I could see the library in my mind. I loved it. Thanks for the great book. I can hardly wait for the next one.

Yay! Back to the classic Ellie vs. Haunted House stories that I love. I got some good creep factor from this one. My only complaint is against the proof reader. Come on, when there are mistakes so obvious that it detracts from the story you should be fired. Ellie can't run down a hall barefoot and then kick in a door wearing her boots. I loved the ghost action in this story, especially as it pertained to the library.

Totally enjoyed this addition to the series!
This had a great storyline and I liked the characters very much! Each book I've read so far has been a real page turner and was very hard to put down for very long. I guess that's why I'm still reading at 2 o'clock in the morning! :) It's great I'm retired so no having to get up for work! :) I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series!!!

What first looks like a book lovers dream turns into a library of horrors. Ghost Trapper Ellie Jordan is back with another scary addition to the series. I swear when I read these books I hear strange noises throughout the house which just amplifies your emotions while reading. The author has a knack of making you laugh along with scaring the bejesus out of you.

Wonderfully spooky as always. I always enjoy the detail Bryan puts into the ghosts and their origins and I really like Ellie and her crew. I can't even begin to imagine how he come up with it all. But they make for a good creepy read and I would recommend checking it out.

What's worse than a haunted library?
I love the Ellie Jordan books and this was another winner. If you haven't read any Ellie Jordan books, you really need to. Then you'll understand that there's a Lot of things worse than a haunted library, especially in a haunted house in rural Georgia.

Another interesting visit with the Scooby gang...lol
I really enjoyed this book as well as the series so far. The combination of humor with the spooky dark side of ghosts is so fun. Witty dialogue as well as scary fun is just what I needed for my book slump. Having read all 12 books this month. I’m looking forward to more.

Been a wee while since I read the last one in the series. Forgot how much scary fun these books are. This one had the hair on my arms tingling a couple times. Damn fine story telling, though, as usual, I find too many typographical errors. Bought The Trailwalker at the same time, so starting that next.
