Rate this book
The thrilling race to find the Philosopher’s Stone and save a planet.

An 18-year old Princess, Tara, enthrals the affection of two young men on her search for the stone that will save her planet, Artan, an Earth-like planet in the star system of Centauri, the closest star to our sun. Accompanied by her friend Lea, first they must find Nemo, the sage, the last surviving member of the Brotherhood, a secret organisation dedicated to the fight against evil.

Race follows the two protagonists of separate ethnic origins through twin themes, in their need for unity in battling side by side against the evil forces operating against them as they help Princess Tara on her quest, the very same woman who originates the second theme in this epic thriller, competitive courtship.

As forces of evil battle against them, their weakness of obsessive love underscores the fierce competition between them, brimming with racial tension, one that drives the thirst for each other’s blood, but must be set-aside in the greater threat to them both: Satan.

Satan has sons who lack the perfection of evil to succeed him. His rightful heir, the Anti-Christ, is whom will bring the end of humanity on Earth, and Satan has named Princess Tara potential mother of the Anti-Christ, to the horror and vengeful shock of his current wife, Lori, the queen of vampires who now sees Tara as a threat that must be extinguished.

Race is a masterwork of fiction, with international and broad readership appeal.

Complications precede twists that only raise more questions before the next turn. Set in two extraordinary parts, the narrative should be haven for all young adult and adult Sci-Fi lovers alike who need a 2020 masterpiece to bite into. The Philosopher’s Stone is more than a Harry Potter story, and Race is exactly what you will be eager to do to get to the very last page.

It has an interesting premise and relatable characters. Set over 2 periods, it takes on the issues of current times and blends them well in the storytelling. With twists coming up at unexpected moments it packs a punch and keeps you on the hook till the race ends!

Race is an engaging quest. The characters set out on a perilous journey where they discover that their supposed weaknesses actually become strengths. The novel also has an underlying philosophy that is relevant for today’s world.

This book was awful, unless it was a satire, then it's not as bad. I couldn't even finish the book.
