This is a book about the seasons and what you can do during each season. It informs you of what to wear in each season and which season comes after which season. The activities you do in each season change as well as what it looks like outside.

This is a great book for teaching the seasons, the order they go in, what to wear, and the things you can do in each season. This is a great easy read and it teaches as you go through the book.

Picture Book

Bear child realizes that as the seasons change, so do the clothes he wears and the activities people are doing outside. The author explains the types of clothes Bear wears in the spring, summer, fall, and winter and what people are busy doing. Bear learns that after winter, spring will come again. This is a good beginners book when trying to teach/learn about the different seasons.

Little Bear Child takes us on journey through the seasons in a small country town. It's a cute read with delightful illustrations, especially when it comes to depicting the going-ons in this busy little town.

This is a picture book with many things happening. I would use this book to help students use past tense verbs. There are many pictures that go with the actions so students could look at the pictures as well and try to figure out what was happening.

This book can teach young students the different activities that we can do during each season of the year. It also teaches the students the order of the seasons.

This book talks about all the different things to do in different seasons. I would teach a lesson about seasons and ask the students to draw and write what they do in each season.

Comments on the Story:
The story is pretty simple. It is very repetitive. Each season is introduced and little bear changes his clothes to represent the new season and then it shows that everyone in the town is busy and then asks you what they are doing and you can look at all of the activity pictures.

Recommended Uses for the Book:
If you had a big book to use to tell this story you might be able to have it in a storytime and let the children point out all of the different activities they see being done on the pages for each of the different season. But, if there was not a big book to use then it would be difficult to use this book because the children would not be able to see all of the little details of the activities going on for each season. This book would be especially useful at home to talk about seasons and point out the different activities.

My absolute favorite book as a child. We watch Bear Child go through the seasons and find out what he wears during each, and what the rest of the town is up to.

Great book to teach about the seasons! Nice, big text with easy words. Provides a lot of examples for students to understand what each season entails.
