"Maybe every picture delivers just as much as any other, it's just that some deliver things I can't use. Failures? Or am I just not prepared for what the world has to offer?"
This book, to me, really opened up what a photograph can do. The places in A Dozen Failures look a lot more like my world than any other photographer I've seen lately. The book takes on even more resonance as our means to display photos has grown, but at the same time the fakeness of what they depict has also grown. I'll take these failures over common fakes any day.
