Englishman Steven Moore grew up by the seaside, thus his first true joy was the great outdoors. His innate love of travel and a degree in anthropology, archaeology, and art history help inform his fiction writing. Steven also loves painting, photography, and both playing and watching sport.

The travel bug bit the now perpetual nomad early, and to date Steven has lived and worked on five continents, and visited almost sixty countries. Steven combines an age-old writing adage; Write what you know, with his own mantra; Write where you know, and sets most of his novels in places in which he has either lived or spent an extended period of time.

When not on the road with his writer wife Leslie, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico is home, which they share with their rescue cats Ernest Hemingway and F Scott Fitzgerald (Ernie and Fitz).

A lifelong love of food, wine, and beer have demanded a new-found love of yoga and hiking in order to fend off the imminent arrival of middle age.

“..the rewards they seek can only ever be achieved through goodness and honor."
A nail-biting action with a highly imaginative premise. The beginning is tremendously fun, it already starts with intrigue and cryptic tones, pulling you into the story immediately! I was totally awed, it was like a scene out of a James Bond film, so outstanding it was! It felt so real, I could feel the wonder of R.B. It’s filled with courage, betrayal, hardships and surprising discoveries over some of the most oppressive rulers the world has ever encountered. An outstanding premise, filled with horrors, hardcore, and yet witty in its dialogue that made the reading lighter with fun moments, it helped to digest the terrible actions perpetrated by a wicked organisation. An engaging storyline indeed. Moore and Berens have done a wonderful co written job! I highly recommend this series.

El Dorado Gold, the 4th book in the Ryan Bodean Tropical Thrillers series, is the best yet. Davis Berens and Steven Moore, wonderful authors in their own right, are dynamite collaborators.
In this book, R.B. and Megan join S.C.O.U.T., a secret intelligence organization. Their first mission sends them to Columbia, in search of the mysterious legend of El Dorado, and to save the ancient Muisca tribe and their Zipa from being overtaken by the Illuminati.
It is an adrenaline-fueled, non-stop roller coaster ride, filled with bullets, bombs, fires, and white knuckle plane crashes. It calls on historical facts and exotic locales to build a fantastical story filled with complex and interesting characters. The story twists and turns and keeps your interest until the last page, at 4:30 in the morning in my case. Don’t miss this one, and read the whole series.

More fantastic adventures with Ryan and Megan as they explore another legend. I like checking out the places they mention out on line to make the story come even more alive.

This is a book with a lot of twist that will keep you turning the pages. Eldorado Gold everyone thinks is a city when in fact it is not. I very much enjoyed this book. It is just a very good read that you will enjoy reading it. There is action, but not so much that it detracts from the story. The writing is as usual right up to David's level and you will have an easy and delightful read.

Breath-holding, white-knuckling adventure…

David Berens and Steven Moore once more combine their creative genius to offer us another hair-raising, action-packed adventure replete with super-high-tech toys, ancient tribal rituals, and amazing characters, some lovable, some duplicitous and utterly loathsome. While this is the third book in the Ryan Bodean Tropical Thriller series, I believe you can fully enjoy the story without having read the previous books. I doubt you will want to stop with just one, though, as all the books in this series are stellar adventure stories featuring Ryan Bodean, a very likable treasure-hunter and adventure enthusiast as well as Megan Simons, his partner in the salvage/treasure-hunting business and potential romantic partner. In this story, our intrepid heroes are off to the Amazon to prevent the evil and power-hungry Illuminati from seizing control of the massive cache of gold of the fabled El Dorado. The stakes could not be higher. The tension is palpable as our heroes circle ever closer to a dangerous showdown with their highly-trained, well-funded and exquisitely lethal enemy. If you enjoy amazing adventure peppered with authentic historical facts all set in exciting and exotic locales, this is a series worth every second of your time.

I was provided with an advance copy of this book by the authors and I am voluntarily offering my honest and unbiased review.

El Dorado Gold - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Ryan 'R.B.' Bodean is a down-to-earth slightly naive guy whose nickname is 'clumsy' - often with good reason.
A seaplane afficionado, he's thrilled when Jackson 'J.T' (aka 'Papa', due to his resemblance to Ernest Hemingway) Tannenbaum hires R.B, his archeologist girlfriend Megan, Joe Wayne, a huge bodyguard/weapons specialist and Australian MMA expert Paulina ('Mac') MacPherson, to follow up on research into the eponymous treasure in the South American jungle, as part of the newly-formed S.C.O.U.T. team.

Papa provides them with weapons, equipment, a splendid state-of-the-art seaplane and most valuable, backup in the form of tech genius Xiao, who hacks satellites around the world to track the team and update them with useful info.

Events unfold at breakneck speed, leaving the hapless R.B and Megan in the greatest danger of their lives, in Steven Moore and David F. Berens' latest fantastic adventure, in their A Ryan Bodean Tropical Adventure series, that will hook you like a marlin on a spike and make you forget all about the Covid-19 peril, or your Lockdown Blues, as you're whisked away to a world of lies, deception and danger, where legends come to life and transpiring events illuminate you to things you could never imagine in your wildest dreams.

David F. Berens and Steven Moore make a brilliant authorial partnership, as you'll soon realise, when you get your copy of Eldorado Gold. Don't delay, get it today!

The story is a thrilling adventure. The characters are somewhat disappointing. Very stupid at times, yet very lucky, too. Sometimes brave. Sometimes very juvenile! Sometimes I love them. Sometimes I'm disgusted with them. I don't know if the author did this on purpose to keep the reader awake, but it kept me from giving the book 5 stars!

It was sometimes difficult to keep up with the fast-paced action, but the story always kept me intrigued. The story is a mixture of believable places and events and some wild fantasies.

This episode in the adventures of Ryan Bodean and Megan is action packed as they take on the Illuminati and try to find El Dorado. While some parts of the story are predictable, it has several twists to keep the reader guessing at the outcome. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.

Ryan Bodean, Megan, Joe and Megan are on a mission to find the El Dorado and the gold. Every place they stop, it seems the enemy knows where they are. Gun battles, poisoning and their sea plane runs out of gas and they have to land in the ocean. A a lot of twists and turns in this thriller. A page turner that does not disappoint.

This is a good book and it's got a surprise at the end. I won't say anything about it but it was a good one. R.B. And Megan are in trouble with this one. They have to find someone who is in danger of being killed. Can they save them and themselves in time? Read it and see!

This one was slightly better than the others in the series, but still in the “Indiana Jones” or James Bond implausible adventure vein where you know everything can & will go wrong but eventually all will work out

Wow! Edge of the seat excitement in this adventure for RB and Megan to prove the validity of the lost treasure in the South American jungle. Not the book to read when it’s about time for lights out.
