Ophelia Rose has lived a lonely life. Surrounded by a luxurious estate, she's always had everything she needed. Except for any love from her family. Her mother died when she was young and her absent father travels internationally for government contracts, leaving her with Denise. Her step-mother and two step-sisters aren't cruel to her, but they are indifferent at best. It's not just her family though. Everyone in Village Worth seems to regard her with caution while keeping a large distance, even her supposed best friends.
One night, change arrives, blown in by a storm, transforming her life into something of fairytales. What she thought was reality is twisted upside down and she finds herself missing chunks of time, and memories that no one else seems to have. Strangers that she's never met begin acting like they've known her forever. All of this chaos is creating a massive chaotic symphony that ends in Ophelia discovering something about herself that she could have never guessed.

Just remember to love cats... that's not negotiable.
2,5 stars I am so sad to say that i din´t like this book at all, the heroine was a freaking doormat and she annoyed the hell out of me the whole book. The same goes for her guys as well expect maybe Rhys and Andrei or whatever his name is. They where decent. I just got so tired and annoyed when the main characters is held in the dark and is so clueless on what´s going on. My heart also hurt when she got dissed and rejected all the time. I wanted her to actually do something drastic and show them that she aint no damsel and that she also can reject them as well. But nah they just kissed her and she was completely gone in heaven and forgot what she has gone thru. Like omg they treated her like crap even if i get why they should have told her the thruth earlier so she didn´t have to think she was worthless. I wanted her to show some fucking bone and kick their asses, but no she so fragile and lalala The guys annoyed me as well, cuz i understood in the beginning when they where dissing her and stuff that something was going on behind the scenes and they all would know each other ish and be some sort of supernatural creatures. They where COWARDS, i just don´t have anything to say...
Fae Fiefdom had a very intriguing blurb that made me want to see this memory loss thing play out but this book had a messy structure that just jumps around certain elements without the content it needs to be impactful for the story.
The initial chapters gives so much inner blabbering from the FMC to establish herself as not-like-other-girls so hardcore, I had to roll my eyes. Then it's her interactions with the guys, the scenes where they treat her like she doesn't exist with other people around. I felt this was unbalanced with the doormat reactions from Ophelia. Even if it's more confrontational scenes with her trying to cut this shit, it resolves in a very unsatisfactory way with the guys either with a kiss or few mushy words. All it does is portray Ophelia in an unflattering light.
The harem felt lacking, I feel like there are too brief interactions with the guys to truly have their place established in this story. There isn't much space given to see more than this very initial layer of characterisation and by that I mean purely establishing their supernatural status. As such the romance is meh with how jagged their transition goes.
The world building had potential but the scattered way of how it trickles down in the story doesn't flow in a cohesive manner and the end chapters don't land at all with the shallow content or just lame bad villain.
If you haven’t read this yet you must. The world building is insane you end up there with the characters when everything goes down. This is a book that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. If you love pnr rh this book and author is a must read!
Let me start by saying that M.Sinclair is becoming one of my favorite authors.
Ophelia is a FMC who instantly grabbed my heart strings as she has no clue why she is treated like an outcast in her entire town, and the strange things that are happening to her. She knows that there’s something different about everyone, but can’t lay a finger on it. When she keeps thinking that she’s going crazy, and ends up “going with it because that’s what people in books do” she finds that she’s not as crazy as she thought, and things make more sense. Did I mention that there’s hot, gorgeous guys that are helping her?! Oh yeah, there’s a total of 6, but there’s the possibility of it being 8! *hands fanning my face*
The journey of (two weeks??) for Ophelia is definitely a rollercoaster, but she takes it all in good strides for the most part. She accepts who she is supposed to be, accepts the guys in her life, follows her instincts, and stands up to her evil stepmother.
I’m so glad that this book didn’t leave in the huge cliffhanger it could’ve ended in, so at least there’s SOME closure and knowledge of what’s going to be happening in the next book. Can’t wait
Ophelia Rose, a girl living in a city where everyone seems to try to avoid her, and with no real friends except her horse. She lives with her stepmother and two stepsisters. She has no real relationship with her sisters, and though her stepmother never has been abusive to her, they hold no love for each other. Her father works abroad, and only keeps in contact with her stepmother and sisters, not a single letter or phone call for Ophelia.
Her days consist of school, riding and giving a lift to a guy who pretends to not know her when others are around.
A few weeks after her 18th birthday, everything changes, and suddenly people who used to ignore her, are being friendly, and new people are showing up in town, letting secrets slip that she wasnt supposed to know about yet.
----------------
Ophelia quickly meets all of the men, that I'm assuming will become her family. It will be interesting to read how those relationships build.
The book has what feels like a very long intro. The first 8 chapters are leading up to the real story, which is a bit boring for me and there's barely any action. The book is too short for that much information with no real story. It's well written through. The buildup makes sense, it's just disproportionate with the length of the book. It feels like a book was cut in half. As it's a series, I assume that it would have felt more fluid, if I could continue to book two immediately.
The story has many memories incorporated, and they are used in a way that very nicely helps establish a timeline, and also gives the needed information, without interrupting the story.
_______________ I received an arc copy of this book. My review is my honest opinion.
Meow! I didn't like this book, And I love M.Sinclair!! Where do I begin, well I made it half way before I decided this book just wasn't for me. The fact that my eyes rolled from just the hot guy talks in her head, ( and every guy she's running into is hot and she wants to kiss them ) and her being pretty much this super sad doormat, She'd say enough is enough like she's grown this back bone of sorts, then get kissed by said jerkface until stupid and then just get dissed over and over, seriously sad. Ophelia was kinda bratty when bombs were dropped, which is weird since she can take finding out about men with wings and then str8 up murdering some guy, yet when something is applied about her and her truths she can't deal. I didn't care for Ophelia much, she didn't strike me as a leader or queen, more like Alice dropping into the rabbit hole with a woah is me complex. Yeah everyone sucks, and she got this, but her constantly putting herself back in these situations with sucky ppl was mind boggling, for heavens sake show some pride women.
Something I have noticed about M. Sinclair's work.... the concept are fascinating , the characters are compelling and the plots complicated, but - things can get very confusing, very quickly.
Don't get me wrong, I love it, but I do get annoyed when I have to read a paragraph twice just to decipher what is going on. Non-spoiler example here: there is a something known as the shadow realm, which certain individuals can use, yet using this realm is almost like stepping into another dimension, one where the events there don't really happen in the real world, but the memories remain, or form in the minds of those involved in the shadow realm. It's a bit mixed up, and confusing and took me way too long to figure out what was going on.
Now, that not be the case for you. Maybe it's just me. And fast fact here, even though her stories confuse me a little too much (Red Masquerades?) I am going to keep reading them, because the characters and plot alone make them compelling and worth devouring.
Im not sure how I feel about this book. I get there are different realities, but honestly, I feel confused. Its so all over the place, I cant really decide if I like it not. Im not truly excited to read the next one, but eventually I may. It was well written, I just didn't really get too involved with any of the characters. I think, for me, it was just too many at once, I couldn't get a sense of who anyone truly was. They were all jsit there and protective and possessive. Which seems silly, since they all apparently know they are her mate, so shouldn't they be a bit more used to each other and have processed that they will be stuck together. She seems to have not even needed to process it, just blind acceptance. This has not been a favorite for me, but it was enjoyable. I just have no clue how we got to the ending. It was out of the blue to me, perhaps it's explained more in the next book, but for me, im not plowing into the second one yet. It was off putting for my liking, not the type of cliffhanger I enjoy.
Fae Fiefdom is one of my favorite books I've read this year. It had everything you could really want from an RH book: a badass fmc, overprotective alpha male harem members, mystery and intrigue and an epic story line. I think what I liked best about this book was the mystery behind it. It begins with the scene of our fmc, Ophelia, and her discovering her mother died. She meets a mysterious stranger in her maze while looking for her mother. In this really sets the tone for the book. Ophelia doesn't ever really know what is going on around her or who she should trust, and not in weak character way, just everyone leaving her in the dark. She lonely, and vulnerable but there is for surely a steel strength to her that comes out the further along in the book you go. I like most of the guys in the book, some I need more info on to really get a good read on them. I am really looking forward to book 2!
Whew... okay. Can I just start by saying a big THANK YOU to M Sinclair for not leaving us on too bad of a cliffhanger 🙏🏼 Towards the end there I was really worried it was gonna be a big one. While there was still a cliffhanger, it wasn’t too bad, just enough to keep us intrigued and excited for the next book.
Moving on to the real stuff...
Dang, was that a good book!! This might just be one of my new favorites!! Five stars for amazing world building, a unique concept, and a super exciting new universe!!
I absolutely loved Ophelia and her men, and how much of a mystery this story was from start to finish!! We start with so many questions, and the story is to put quite simply: confusing and disorienting. However, as it moves on, we have some questions answered while others pop up. I loved how towards the end most of our most pressing questions were answered, but that as a reader I was left wondering until the last page.
Ophelia is a really interesting character. She struggles with loneliness, but stays true to herself and tries to see the best in people. She is definitely a character that rolls with the punches.
Honestly, there was a lot going on in this book, especially with all the men in her life. At times it started to get overwhelming, but it was so beautifully written that that was part of its charm! I cannot wait to see what happens next, and to get some more time with Adrian and Titan. (;
I was so excited when i seen this new book by M. Sinclair was being released!! This is book one in a new series by her! New world, new characters and it was off the charts amazing. I think that Ophelia is my new favorite MC!! Ophelia is Snarky and sassy and I loved everything about her! She has grown up thinking she is human and that she is a loner because the friends she has only pay attention to her when they are alone and not in public! Oh how wrong she is! And the guys that start popping in her life wowzaaaa they are hot, broody crazy alpha males (the best way to have them 😏) I did not want this book to end it was that good! I can’t wait for book 2!!!
Wow this book was amazing! There was so much in this book that blew my mind. first off you have village worth which sounds like a normal town but is actually filled with all kinds of supernatural, like fae, pixies, shape shifters, vampires, demons, merman etc. Then you have this prophesy where this girl Ophelia has to open this gate that's been closed ever since her mother was murdered at six years old. And don't get me started on the men which there's eight and there all possessive sexy as hell supernaturals who all love ophelia and have sworn to protect her. All in all I loved this book and can't wait to see what happens next in the next book.

This is a new series by M. Sinclair. If you have read any of her prior books (and you should) this is the start of a new series that takes place outside the world that has been built in her other series. Our MC is a young woman named Ophelia, she lives in the Village of Worth. It is a very well-to-do Village but you know something strange is going on but you and the MC just don't know what it is! She is ignored by most people and doesn't know why. She is so strong willed and is trying her best to just get through each day. When she is told the unbelievable truth of what is really happening, she handles it! Of course there are some very hot guys and each one has a distinct personality and way they interact with Ophelia. There is a lot of world building in this book but it is done in such a way as to be seamless and not take you out of the story. I can't wait to see where Ophelia goes next!
There’s no other way to describe this book , it’s just fantastic ! The first in a new series , from an amazing writer , you will be swept up in this story and never want it to end . The characters are well defined , the plot is original and will keep you engaged from the first page . Ophelia is a strong FMC dealing with a lot of loneliness , until her entire world gets turned upside down when she learns that Fae , shifters etc are real and she is a part of that world . Don’t pass this one up , this author always delivers genuinely great books and this one is no exception . I am looking forward to book 2 :)
I've read 3 other of MS's RH books that I really enjoyed.
In this one, I liked the MC of Ophelia and the guys around her, and the pace of the story was great. In general, I love anything to do with fairies, and even though I've read quite a few RH where the girl is some lost fairy princess I still liked this one.
Also, I thought she did a good job at world-building. I have been in kind of a lull for the past 7 months when it has come to reading RH, and have been getting bored of the genre as a whole( besides the series I am already continuing since they aren't finished yet). So, I plan to continue this series:)
The book starts off relatively slow, with Ophelia Rose (FMC) pointing out numerous oddities and reflecting on her lonely life. It's not until about the half way point that the storyline begins to pick up though there are moments sprinkled throughout the first half that keep you enthralled.
However despite the slowness, M. Sinclair does a great job at setting you up for the next book which promises to be more. I think the ending leaves a little to be desired since it doesn't really explain the reasoning behind a major change, but I believe that is the point. There are hints at a lot of budding steamy relationships and adventures to come that will make picking this book up and finishing it worth it.
Wow, this is only my second M.Sinclair book and she has smashed it once again. I absolutely love her fae world. In this book we meet Ophelia, who lives with her step mother and two step sisters who really don't care too much about her. Her mother has past away and she never sees her father. Ophelia broke my heart, she is so lonely its heartbreaking to read. I love how the author describes Ophelia's harem and we are able to read from their pov. Each one is so memorable and different. They are an amazing group and I cant wait to read book 2!
I'm glad the guys aren't all out confrontational. I'm glad that things will look up in the future cuz damn there's a whole lotta sexiness going on!! (already in luv with rhys cuz...Viking looks lol, titan, and merrick) I hope the split up doesn't last long. N honestly since everyone is killy why doesn't anyone just kill denise...🤔 9 mates already...curious if the merman will be one cuz hey gotta collect 'em all 😉 I'm looking forward to more story n sexy times!! I do like slow burn tension tho 😋 I hope to see more artemis cuz I love animals!
Ok, I'm at 68% and am sooo confused. This is already reading like a psychological thriller, where you feel like you're in a fog and have no idea what's going on and now the author has introduced two realities (shadow walking - which I guess she introduced a little earlier, but that was just a blip compared to now) I guess I'm a little surprised at all the 5 star ratings, I'm not a fan of this type of fogged up writing.😉 I think I need a break at this point. I'll update if my break isn't a permanent one.
Quite the fairytale... literally. This amazing story tells the beginning of a story about a young woman who discovers that while she thought her life was full of oddities, she had no idea just how different from reality it truly was. My favorite part of this book is the fact that the mfc started strong and stayed strong throughout. Even though for majority of the book she believes she’s had a mental health issue, she owns that shit! So superb, excited for the continuation.

With Fae Fiefdom, we are pulled into a whole new world with Fae and other supernatural creatures. Ophelia, a rather lonely girl, and her slew of hot men are wrapped into a plot against the Fae rulers and so much more. While the steam is slow-burn, the relationships still hold a deepness that I crave from Sinclair's writing. I'm hooked! I can't wait to see what happens with Ophelia and the sinfully hot men who claim and protect her.
I was a little hesitant at first entering M. Sinclair’s new universe. I love her current one and I was iffy on if this one could be better than what she currently has. Honestly she blew me away with this book. The book was spectacular. Generally I can predict what’s going to happen next in a book just because most are pretty predictable. This one however, kept me on my toes the entire time. I could not put it down. I loved M. Sinclair before this book, but now I am totally obsessed.
Obsessed in the stay up all night neglect my family kind of way. Interesting twist on the Cinderella aspect. The characters (main female and all the men) were interesting and I can’t wait for more development as the series continues. The first book is a lot of building / setting up the series with background, can’t wait until the next one comes out. Would highly recommend and I will be eagerly anticipating the next book.
This book, OMG what can I say. I am hooked on it. Reading it just once was not enough, had to read it twice. It moves along at the most amazing pace, making for such a comfortable read. You will fall in love with these characters from the moment that you meet them. They are so real and you want to be there with them. The story is amazing, you will not be able to put it down and will want to read it a second, third, who knows how many times. This book has to be read, no doubt about it.
This book was so unique and interesting! Slow burn starting within Village worth that is actually a supernatural community. Then a prophecy where she has to open a gate that’s been closed ever since her mother was murdered when she was six years old and knew it wasn’t what she was told. Ophelia and her supernatural possessive men, all sworn to protect her! And there is Eight of them!!! Look forward to the next book!
This book introduces you to Ophelia, and is the first instalment of a BRAND NEW universe. The title makes it seem like it is just about fae, but that’s not true. This book was absolutely amazing. I love her guys - especially River (not that I’m playing favourites) - and I can’t wait to see where this story goes next. There are so many things I want to know, and I hope the next book answers some of these burning questions. This is honestly a brilliant introduction to the new world. I loved it.
Don’t let the Cinderella-esque blurb turn you away, this is not another retelling of the fairytale classic! With an intricately woven storyline full of twists, surprises and a mouth watering ensemble of men; Ophelia’s opening story in Sinclair’s new Court of Rella series pulls you into another world with dark undertones that will leave you salivating for more.
I’ve read so many of this authors books, and each one keeps me more and more intrigued and excited for the next. This book has great characters and the plot twists and surprises I can see coming in following books look soooo interesting I know this is going to be a great story. M Sinclair is gifted at writing awesome MFC’s and their hot, bad ass men!!
Ophelia and her men will make you fall in love and drag you in to there new universe! I love how sassy Ophelia is she’s been living white her stepmother and stepsisters in a town were no one wants to be her friend and there are secrets on top of secrets buy this book and come find out what is really going on and meet Ophelia and her band of hotties
This was a great start of a new world and new series. The emotion in this book made me tear up for the Mc. She’s so sad and lonely and my heart aches for her. The characters are interesting and o can’t wait to get to know them and the mystery one. And that ending? JUst WOW!! I can’t wait for the next book. I really enjoyed the start of this series.
