To answer a question about how I feel about all three books... (little spoiler)
First of all, as I have said in other reviews of the books singly: i loved the writing of the author...her way with words made me HAVE to finish the books no matter what I was feeling at the moment...
(bows to Ms Steiner)
But I was asked why I hate the character of Charlie sooooo much. Well, I have to assume she was written not to like to make the story work. If she has honor the story ends part way through the first book.
The short list: Cheats on Cameron with Reese, Cameron begs her not to go, she cheats on him again anyway. She cucks Cameron, and when confronted with Blake she turns having sex with Cameron into a weapon. Then she sleeps with Reese on a weekend convention. Makes out with Reese while Cameron is watching in the couples family driveway. Gets the explanation about seeing Cameron with work partner in his lap and STILL can't make up her mind when realizing SHE is the one who has cheated. Has unprotected sex with two men....gets pregnant.... that's enough...
Or is it...
At the end of WHAK Reese is trying to pull it together but is getting no help from the one person who should know better, Charlie. Reese does not know if Daisy is his or Cameron's. To be fair, no one knows and Cameron allows Reese to become part of the family, a bit. This is bad for Reese, he will never get better under these conditions but then... Charlie HAS to know who the father is and makes Cameron take a paternity test, tell him she will keep the results to herself...REALLY...to herself!!! Cameron is not (or shouldn't be)a total idiot. Once Charlie knows the results, if Daisy is Cameron's there is no need to hide the information from him. If she says nothing, well then he has hjs answer. BUT SHE TELLS REESE after knowing for several months. WTF!!!! Does she like having him around wondering about Daisy. And did she tell Cameron she was going to tell Reese? Ugggh, what an awful person...
Trying to decide which of the authors other novels I should try...reccomendations?
As always, Thank you Kandi for sharing your visions!
