In the conclusion of Crushed, things pick up right after Jazmin, Cassie, and Tanya have had their worlds crushed by their “crushes.” Tanya seemed hopeful about her and Ike but the things he says, and his actions often leave her befuddled. He’s just too hard to figure out, and right when she’s about to give him a permanent spot on the No-Good Men list, he comes to her with a request that she considers granting. It isn’t the most orthodox approach at love, but it’s better than nothing. Yet, there’s always someone around that wants to rain on her parade and give her reason to question her security and esteem. If she’s happy, what should it matter? But is she happy though? Cassie is ready to accept that her and Eli’s happily ever after will never be. She no longer presses him about what she wants the most, and their relationship very well may have run its course; that is until tragedy strikes. There may be hope after all; however, there are other forces at play. Cassie must outsmart her opponent and show them she’s not going out so easily. But will Eli still be there to help her pick up the pieces? A weekend. That’s all it took. One weekend and Jazmin may have made the worst mistake of her life. Did her anger and bullheadedness cause her to push Jah away for good? Now that the tables are turned, and she’s on the receiving end of Jah’s rage, Jazmin must come up with a solution to piece her life back together. And that solution could be staring her in the Jayda. Stress is at an unbelievable high, and everyone is going through it. Will Jazmin, Cassie, and Tanya be able to hold it together, put up a fight, and provide one another with the support they desperately need? The pressure they each withstand cause them to test the strength of their own friendship, but it’ll take some shocking news to rock everyone to the core before they all come to their senses, including the men.
I just love myself some Jah and Juicy because they just have a loving and real relationship. Jah refuse to put on airs. What you see with him is what you get. Nivea was a follower and in the end she lost it all even her baby girl. I like Tanya, she had self esteem problems and uncomfortable in her size; however, things worked.put for her with her marriage to Ike who accepted her for who she was and loved her. I was glad that Kris crazy, baby killing self was jailed again. They needed to keep her there. I like brothers, Abe and definitely Eli. Happy about the relationship between Aunt Georgia and Jah. I was glad that Jasmine got her man, Eli got his wife, and Ike got his girl. Tanya turned out to be a ride or die girl. This author did a good job with this crew. Waiting to find out about Lovely.
I love this author's style!!! Wow, how do you get in your readers head that just so happens to live in a city near Nashville TN and by the time the story is over you realize OMG Jewel City is fake... This is the illusion that Ivy creates for us and I'm here for it. Looking for the pretty picture telling stories? She doesn't always deliver that just like Jaz and Jah had to go through the storm we all sometimes do. Recovery in a relationship has been presented many times in these stories which bonds you as a reader to everything she brings forth. Simply put, a masterpiece at work, every story every time!!! Read them ALL...
This book definitely tested my patience and I was glad that everyone seems to have gotten their happily ever after!!!… This book brought about how communication out the gate will save a lot of headaches and heartaches!!!… Sean is one grimy fella and I don’t even know how anyone wants to be around him!!!… I loved the maturity in Romyn and AK’s relationship!!!…I was hoping they got across to Cassie, but clearly her tail was just delusional!!!… Abe is an amazing person and I love how he makes sure he let those around him know that he is not perfect and very much flawed!!!…He is definitely the voice of reason!!!…
Ike was some kind of sweet nerd man with the soul of a lover. Looking ro be loved and Tanya was the perfect choice Cassandra just wanted to be Eli's everything and he wanted the same but his past had him afired. Jah was not playing with Jazz when it came to his other kid. He had just learned of. But his love for her never wavered he just needed her to understand that he would never be like his dad. And he would be there for his kids. Sean still a 🐍
Imma be honest, it was good but I was expecting more. I didn't get enough of the mens POV especially Eli. I feel like the ending was rushed a little and I wanted to hear more from Ike and Tanya. I'm glad she got her happy ever after though. Overall I thought it was a good piece of work. Can't wait to see what's next.
I enjoyed reading about where Jah and Jazmin was in there relationship exes tried to break them but there love was unstoppable. Ike found happiness with Tanya. Cassie finally made Eli admit his love for her. Can't wait to here about Lovely and if she got the surgery on her eyes.
All I'm goin to say is at first I was so mad at jah but now I'm back in love with him 🤣🤣🤣 Now Ike his story had me so sad and I'm glad things turned out for the best this was so worth the wait and I cant wait to see what Ivy has in store for us. Everyone should read this story just like all the others. 5 star read
It took me a while to really get into the characters because it had been so long since I’d read the first book. The character development was good and I love the relationships between the friends, brothers and couples. Jah is my man and he demonstrated the true essence of a father. I can’t wait to see how things turn out for Lovely.
I can really see that Ivy didn’t want to write this book. For us to wait this long, I wanted more content with Tanya and Cassie, I’m over Jah and juicy now. Then I felt like the one time Tanya found love it was an arrangement, it’s almost a slap in the face to plus size woman, it’s like you’re saying that they have to settle. 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I enjoyed the second part of this story. There was a lot of miscommunication going on between Ja and Jazmine but I was happy that everything worked out in the end. As the old saying goes "When you dig a hole for me you dig one deeper for yourself." Planning someone else's downfall can cause you to fall.
As always Ivy Symone does not disappoint. I really enjoy reading her books. I found myself rereading chapters as if I were rewinding a movie to watch a funny scene over and over. It's always good to see what's going on in the lives of the characters that I have grown to love and relate to. I can't wait to read her next release.
Totally worth the wait! Loved jumping back into the lives of the Jazmin, Jah, their crazy friends and the Masters brothers. The book took me on an emotional ride with plenty of laughs and a few tears. Thanks author Ivy Symone, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Can't wait for next book in the series.
Ivy Simone knows how to keep you in your feelings and on the edge of your seat. Half of the time, I think I know what’s going on, only to have her throw something else at me. Ivy Simone is not afraid of conveying serious and , sometimes, ugly situations and their aftermath. I can’t wait to what happens in the next book.
I really enjoyed this book!! I never would've guessed that ike would end up with cancer & surviving it!! I'm so glad that Tanya grew a back bone & ended up marrying & having ike's babies. I'm happy that hah has custody of jayda! I love all the characters in this book & I can't to read more about them & what the go through
I love this series as well as the prequel. My only concern is that many of the women in African American romance novels have no concept of birth control. It makes it seem like the only way to get a man to commit is to get pregnant. Black women are worthy of a committed love without have to give a man a baby. Black women are smarter than that.
Forever and always Jah dont never switch up. Everybody in their relationships goin through it. The length miserable people be goin through though. Always wanting and needing more the crew
This book was s great catch up on the gang. Jah and Jaz a still the faves but was good to see Tanya finally get her happy ending, she deserves it. Eli finally stopped being stubborn. I just wish Nivea could've took that same beating Keis got lol
I have been waiting for this book and it did not disappoint. Jah is still his crazy self. I understood where Jaz was coming from, but I'm glad she came around. Eli keeps me laughing. Tanya has a heart of gold and Ike was everything she needed.
Man these characters get better with every story! I'm so happy for all the girls but especially Tanya. She is getting everything she deserves and more. The men really did have some throwed exes. Please don't make us wait forever for the next installment.
Jah and Jasmine relationship captivated me and left me rooting for my heroes. Ivy Symons can keep the storyline flowing leaves hating to end this wonderful urban tale.
As expected Ivy raised to the occasion. This book was good from the beginning to the end. It was filled with drama. Jah is one of my favorites and I love everything about him. I would recommend this book. I promise you want be dissatisfied.
In this installation I felt the old ivy writing style come through, and I fell so in love again with my boo Jah and his juicy . I can’t wait for Abe and lovely story to continue
I loved this book so much I finished it n all in one day. I love how everybody got what they wanted. I was kinda nervous 😩 for Jah and Juicy...I’m glad they worked it out. I also was shedding tears 😭 for Ike. Love that Tanya got a happy ending along with everybody else.
Enjoyed reading about these characters again loved Tanya and Ike Jazz was so selfish don’t blame Jah for leaving. Cassie, Eli and Kris just a mess. Abe and lovely can’t wait to see what happens with them
I'm happy Tonya finally was able to love herself and open to accept Ike's love as well. Jah and Juicy ha some trails this time but glad they over came it all. Cassie finally got Eli to settle and Kris out of their lives.
Loved this whole plot In this series. The girls were down for one another and those fine brothers were the truth and very stubborn to be with. They held grudges and all to get thru to their women. So happy to see Tanya get the love she gave back in return for real.
Good book!! Not as much drama as the first one. However, it was good. Every couple got what they wanted. I’m especially happy for Tanya, she deserved her happy ending. My only question is why do they need keep having all of these damn babies lol. Part 3
