Micah Beck is tempting, talented and addictive to the last drop.
Not to mention, he’s completely confident in all that he does. Especially with those fingers and I can’t deny that it’s such a turn on.
Micah is the last thing I expect to find wandering around my brother’s beach house, naked, only wearing an acoustic guitar, but he’s the first thing that has ever had me craving for just one ‘anything goes’ night.
My plan was to come visit my brother for the summer and hopefully find a little inspiration for my book at my brother’s bar on the beach.
A little inspiration is more than what I get slapped with.
Talk about wanting to make love to a voice. I never knew exactly what that meant until I heard Micah playing at Vortex, but now just the thought of anything that has to do with that man’s tongue, leaves my whole body vibrating with a hunger I’m not sure I can fight.
Just one taste. One night. No strings.
I’m a liar if I said I thought that would be possible because if I thought his guitar playing abilities were hot, seeing him in charge, demanding orders at Vortex has me completely coming undone and about ready to fall at his feet and give him anything he desires, despite the fact that my brother warned us to stay away from each other.
He’s a master at getting whatever he wants with little or no effort at all and I can’t help but to hope he wants me.
Micah is cocky with a body that screams trouble with every rock-hard muscle.
He’s wrong in every way and…

STRUNG: Is a standalone romance novel by Victoria Ashley. In this we meet Micah Beck & Tegan, spoken in ‘Dual Perspectives’ In this we meet Tegan and Micah
Touching down on Californian soil and leaving her overbearing parents behind, Tegan is looking forward to just chilling by the ocean and working on her new book for the next three months whilst visiting her brother Alexandra who owns Vortex the hottest bar in the district.
Alexander her brother did warn her to proceed with caution when entering his apartment but he didn’t exactly go into detail as to the why?
So the last thing Tegan expected to see turning up at his apartment would be forever embedded in her mind as one of the hottest sex capade she’s seen.
Tegan and Micah met in such an unconventional way which was such a unique way to start this book off and that there is why I am such a fan of this authors.
Alexandra warns Tegan time and time again to stay away from Micah, but that pull whenever he was near bypassed any warnings she got even though she tried to fight the attraction, and knew it could sever ties between Micah and her brother some forces are just stronger than others, an undeniable attraction had these two set on the path of unbridled passion neither could deny.
They thought just one taster, just one touch, just one night to get the other out of their systems would be enough to curb their desires but they were both wrong.
I've pretty much read all of this authors books but I can honestly say that this is probably one of my favourites by her. As soon as I started I was sitting in the palm of her hand lapping up the words page after page, I was hooked, I loved these two characters, the storyline, the setting, the love between two siblings, there is nothing I would change and I hope we get more.

He is the kind of guy who has no problem with the ladies and takes full advantage, but never goes back for more with any one woman. Though he is interested in Teagan from the start. Possibly because she wasn’t falling all over him like most women.
I loved the narration. Joe Arden was perfect for this character. He conveyed the Irreverent attitude that Micah seemed known for. He has a nice voice and I enjoyed it. The story started strong, but I guess I don’t read many brother’s best friend books for a reason and this one reminded me why. There is just too much angst about what the brother will feel and not enough about what they are feeling.

Nothing out of the norm for the storyline yet Micah completely held my attention he's one sexy character.
"Well, fuck you, Micah Beck.” I turn my head sideways so our lips are brushing when I speak. “I don’t belong to you.” “Oh yeah,” he whispers, before running his tongue over my lips. “What if I want you to?”
The couple’s hiding of their feelings created some crazy sexual tension and made for one good read.

Strung was an enjoyable read and I liked getting the back and forth between Tegan and Micah. There was a good amount of tension from Micah trying to avoid Tegan since he was friends with her brother. I love the brothers-best-friend trope and this book proves why it's such a captivating one. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for these characters to give in to the connection they shared and it made for a great reading experience.

Trying to keep my very dirty thoughts in check, I keep my eyes out the window for the rest of the ride to the party.
"Think you can keep up with me tonight?" Micah questions, while parking the truck. "It's easy to get lost in the crowd here. Come on."
He jumps out and I quickly follow, stepping out and shutting the door behind me.
Running my hands over the front of my dress, I look out at the street to see that there are tons of cars parked on the block.
"How did you manage to get a driveway spot? Special treatment for being so cocky?"
He lifts a brow at me and chuckles. "I'd like to think so, but no."
I suck in a breath as he steps up to me and reaches behind me to pull the back of my skirt down. He's so close that I can feel the bulge under his jeans against my body. "Showing me the goods already and this isn't even a date? Special treatment for me being so cocky?"
My face heats as I clear my throat and back up to get some distance between us. "No, apparently your truck is a dick too." I smile and walk away. "Let's go."
His laughter comes from behind me as he takes a few quick steps, catching up with me. "You're fun tonight. I like it."
"Like it too much and you may feel sore in the morning," I mutter.
I stop walking when I feel his body press up behind me.
Breathing in my ear, he grabs my chin and pulls my head back to whisper in my ear. "I'd watch what you say unless you want me to throw you into the back of my truck and f*ck you until my legs give out." He lets out a small growl and nips my ear, causing goosebumps to cover my entire body. "It's been a while since anyone's been able to keep up long enough for my body to hurt."
Oh. My. God.
"Wow!" I remove his hand from my chin, trying to keep my cool, even though all I can think about is him between my damn legs and wondering how long he really can last. "You become a bigger dick, the longer I'm with you. Congratulations."
"You're right. My dick has become bigger. Now stop trying to get me naked again and let's go."
He grabs my hand, pulling me along behind him, before I'm able to think of a comeback.

I wasn’t feeling this one. He seemed icky to me - the first time we meet him he’s shagging a random woman in his friend’s house and doesn’t stop when she arrives, he walks around nekkid to make her feel uncomfortable and then betrays his bestie’s trust by nailing his bestie’s sister despite being asked not to. It felt a bit grubby rather than forbidden to me. I was also puzzled how a bar manager manages to buy and renovate a bar on his own and that kind of bugged me. I can see others have enjoyed it so it’s probably me, sorry but nope, not for me.

December 11, 2017The book was ok, but I should have DNFed it after the scene how they met: she caught him having sex with OW and….. found him hot. Aaaa! One of my biggest pet peeves. This scene haunted me till the very end.
But after that the book was almost safe and MCs were ok. Typical fictional miraculous transformations, little sister drama-lama, short separation and a sweet HFN. I believed in their love, but that scene… ugh! I just can’t…

LOVED this light-hearted read from Victoria Ashley. It was fun, intriguing, and made me laugh out loud a few times. There were times when I was internally gripping my hair, wondering what was next, why this was happening and how it would end. It kept me guessing. And I loved the angle with Tegan. Michael Beck was the cocky playboy we all love, but he was also more. They were great primary characters and I loved the secondary characters as well.
Sebastian--Loved his personality. Jamie and Alexander--I feel like there is a story there, maybe. Glad I got to read this one, because now I'm also completely f*cking strung. :D

I got this because it was on sale on Amazon and I enjoyed a previous book by Victoria Ashley. This one wasn't too bad but wasn't as good as I was hoping. It dragged in some places. It just didn't have the zing I was expecting with this story line. I like the best friends little sister trope. I just wanted a little bit more than I got in this book, I guess. I didn't really connect with the characters but overall I enjoyed the story. Just wish I felt more connected to Micah and Tegan.

Audio-book: Narrators – Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell
Wow! These narrators nailed it! I couldn’t imagine any other voices for Tegan and Micah as well as the rest of the gang that comes with these characters. I absolutely loved the rough sexy edges and growly emphasis when Micah was speaking. Both Mr. Arden and Ms. Mitchell do a stupendous job of both male and female voices and together bring all the feels to this audio!
Tegan is off to spend the summer with her brother in hopes to write her next book while enjoying some time with him. She expected the sun and beach but she never expected Micah. Their first meeting was surprising and something I am not a fan of. However, once Micah sets his eyes on Tegan he’s gone for her. This is the tried and true “best friend’s little sister” trope but I’ve never read one where the brother was so totally adamant as well as out spoken about keeping the hero and heroine apart. I totally understood where he was coming from and was anxious to find out how these characters were going to find their HEA.
This is a fast read/listen with some awesome secondary characters. The steam was enough to melt my earbuds and I’m sure had anyone looked my way while I was listening they would’ve caught me blushing and drooling.

There truly wasn’t anything wrong with this but it just didn’t grab my attention. The plot was pretty predictable, the steam was decent, and the characters were overall likable. I just lost interest. I honestly didn’t even finish the last three chapters of the audiobook because I knew how it was going to end.
The only thing I really didn’t like was the brother, Alexander. I found him to be such a jerk. And for what reason?
I truly feel this is just a personal preference. I didn’t ever connect with these characters or their story.

Absolutely loved this book ! It was full of heart stopping chemistry that had me devouring it in one sitting.
Firstly how these two characters meet is one that I think will be forever imbedded in my brain. I don’t even know what my reaction would be to meeting Micah in the way that Tegan did.
These two definitely have some sparring between them at first. And Micah definitely has that cocky attitude but his flirting and brazen mouth definitely had me giddy and enamoured.
There’s just one problem and it’s Tegan’s brother who is adamant that these two are off limits from each other. Alexander’s protectiveness is his sister is super sweet and it adds the suspense to this story as Tegan and Micah’s attraction to one another builds.
I loved everything about Micah. He’s had a rough background and yet he’s still compassionate and hard working. We definitely get to see another side to this cocky playboy that will make you swoon.

I was so excited for this book and was thinking a sexy, artistic man who sings.... I'm in! This was the expectation.
Here was the reality-
✅ 21 yr old immature heroine with a creepy older brother, who borders on obsessed with her (I promise you big brothers don't act like this)
✅ Parents that she promises to live near for a few more years because they can't "let her go yet".
✅ wanna be worldly woman playing the game with a manwhore who magically becomes a one woman man when he meets her.
✅ a brother who treats his best friend, Micah, like crap by constantly threatening to kill him, loose all trust in him and cut off the friendship if he "lays a finger on his sister". Who would even want a friend like that in their life?
This read like a bunch of middle school kids trying to play grown up.
Here was the reality-

Victoria never disappoints. This book was no exception.

The brother, and the best friend work together, and the brother with the sister gives his best friend one job and instruction. Stay away from my sister, OR!
Makes for a recipe for disaster, a bomb waiting to go off, and as they say, “Someone’s just looking for trouble.”
When Teagan met Micah she thought she had her life planned out, and when Micah met Teagan he thought his life was one of every guy’s fantasy.
Once these to collided you felt sparks fly from California to the fly over States. Those two were electric. Micah was a take charge, take what he wanted kind of guy. He was smooth, gorgeous, had a voice that could melt the clothes off a nun, and a sex appeal that demanded your attention.
After falling for Teagan he changed his ways finding himself territorial, protective, and realizing his priorities were shifting.
The best part about Micah was his heart. Deep down his determination to help Seb through his hard time made me melt. I fell in love with Micah over and over.
The way Micah fought for Teagan, even when he pulled away was so over the top. Those two were perfectly made for each other. I couldn’t tear my eyes from this book.
Sexy, hot, explosive, electric, humorous, witty bantered, and exciting. Victoria delivered another five star.

There are so many things I love about this book!
Forbidden Love, Cocky badboy Rocker, a broken man, a feisty girl..
But what I loved the most was the actual story it was funny, it was touching, a bit of angst and the end left me with tears in my eyes and a smile in my heart.

I was amazingly lucky to get my hands on a ARC of this awesome book, I was totally sucked into the story and couldn't put it down till I'd finished, the characters are likable and you find yourself feeling very emotionally attached to them, definitely a must read 5 stars

Holy shitballs... I friggen loved this book.. when Victoria asked me if I wanted to review a advanced copy of this I jumped on the opportunity..I’ve read all of her books.. and I got the pleasure of getting to meet her this past march...
This book has it all... our H Micah is a drop dead sexy bad boy who can play a guitar, can sing, and has had a life of heartache . Our h Tegan is a sweet, beautiful aspiring author who is spending the summer with her big brother in Cali while trying to finish her book. I loved the banter these two shared..

Strung didn't work for me at all. I didn't like or feel any connection to the characters. I felt the sentences were very choppy making the writing awkward and simple. Although I don't usually mind the brother-best friend-little sister trope I found it annoying in this story. I also felt Tegan seemed a lot younger than 21 years old. Even though this book didn't work for me I would read another one from this author because a couple of years ago I read Royal Savage and loved it.

I love a good brother’s best friend romance and Strung was AMAZING from the very start. Tegan and Micah were amazing characters that captivated your attention from the start and took you on a wild ride.
Tegan heads to California to visit her older brother, what she doesn’t expect is another man being in his home, naked, with another woman. Micah is a musician, a bar owner, and a player. From the moment Tegan and Micah met there was a connection and there was so much tension.
I LOVED the banter between the two of them. Then how the banter became a friendship, then eventually something more. Tegan and Micah have both been warned numerous times by Tegan’s brother, Alexander, to stay away from each other. However, the heart wants what the heart wants and theirs are drawn to each other.
The secondary characters in this story were also fantastic. I loved Sebastian and the brotherly relationship that him and Micah had. Alexander played a major part in this story and I loved every single moment of him, then there is Tegan’s friend Jamie. I loved her and there is definitely something there between her an Alexander!

Micah & Tegan, first of all I love these names. It feels like I haven't seen the name Micah since high school an Tegan I simply adore!
Now to their story. Instant, undeniable and intense chemistry.
Too bad he's a man whore and she's his best friends sister, the one and only woman off limits to him.
Micah has issues, his past made him the man he is. Well, it's a little bit life choices but mostly his childhood.
He works with his best friend Alexander while working his tail off to open his own bar, he spends more than half his time at his best friends house and that's where he comes face to face with Tegan.
It's quite a memorable introduction to say the least!
She sees him for what he is, she's been warned away from him, told his every dirty little secret yet she can't seem to walk away. Even when it could cause problems with the brother she adores.
Secrets never stay hidden for long...

Honestly Victoria Ashley could rewrite the phone book and i would one click and love it! This is absolutely no exception! It's fabulous!
Tegan can't wait to move out of the town she lives in. It's not bad just she's dying to spread her wings. Her brother moved away years ago and this is her first time visiting him. She's looking forward to spending time with him and also finishing her second book. Unfortunately her brother can't be there to meet her so he tells her to grab the spare key and make herself at home. As she does she encounters her brothers sometimes roommate Micah, and what an encounter that is!
Micah is working hard towards owning his own bar. He's had this dream for years and finally the end is in sight. He needs to work a little longer managing and playing music at Vortex the bar Tegan's brother, also his best friend Alexander, owns then he can finally open his new bar Express. Known as the local playboy Micah enjoys his lifestyle and countless women do too. He has no intention of ever falling in love until the one woman who doesn't fall at his feet appears.
Tegan can't take her eyes off Micah even though she tries really hard. Micah can't get Tegan, the one girl he isn't allowed to have out of his head. This forbidden brothers best friend tale will have you feeling amazing by the end and desperate for more.
GAH!!! I love him, i love him, I LOVE HIM!! I was a scorching hot mess over him and he hadn't even touched her! Not with his hands anyway ;) The second i dove into this story i was hooked by my panties! Not joking! Darn that man is H. O. T. His thoughts on clothing just won me over! lol
Tegan is such a great girl you warm to her instantly as she's funny and kind and above all real! I love her inner monologue on Micah because you know you would be thinking exactly the same things she does.
The love scenes left me a pile of ashes in the wind! I mean come on! I don't usually go for long hair but my very vivid day dreams about pulling on Micah's may have won me over!
The connection between these two totally won my heart. From the start you could feel it between them and i loved how Micah stopped his usual ways from the second he met her. It was like he had tunnel vision for her and i loved that about him. His song to her had me shedding a little tear but at the same time it completely warmed my heart.
The supporting cast have me completely intrigued and I'm begging and pleading for them to get their own books! Her brother Xan had me ready to go 10 rounds with him in the ring he drove me so crazy! He just about pulls it back but he's so mysterious he's got me thinking. Tegan's best friend Jamie is funny and she also needs her story told. Finally the kid who Micah has took under his wing Sebastian absolutely one million percent needs a book!! Pretty please with cherries and candyfloss on top give us these books!
This story is a good old fashioned feel good book. There are ups and downs along the way but the end result will leave you smiling big, changing your undies and swooning at Micah Beck's feet! Forbidden love has never tasted so sweet!
Highly recommend if you want a massive smile put on your face!

When a book centres around a writer and a musician you know the words that make up their story will cut deep and embed themselves into your soul. Teagan is the little sister of Micah's best friend and they have both been warned by her brother to keep their distance but this might be just easier said than done. Micah is a player and never goes back for seconds but one look at Teagan and thoughts of other women are something he just can't entertain. As these two find themselves drawn to each other Micah will start to experience something he has never before and that is to trust his heart to another. As Teagan's brother Alexander throws every road block he has at these two it will take trust and a depth of feelings neither of them expect to overcome what might be an ending that is not the HEA they both crave and deserve. Their story is emotional, sexy, flirty and full of drama to keep you gripped. Warning; Micah Beck might just be an addiction you will not be able to break.

DNF at Chapter 16, this is just a big nope from me. I hated the main characters, the fact that "adults" can't control their urges just does not make for a good storyline. Teagan felt like a teenager playing grownup. Just was not a good experience, really don't see why everyone else is hyping this book.

I must say Victoria blew me away with this book! It was everything I love, brothers best friend and little sister, musician and awkward first meeting lol. Micah and Tegan are incredible together. Sure they kinda do things behind her brothers back and you wonder at times how the brother didn't hear them. That's one sounds sleeper, let me tell you.
First off, I love that Tegan was a writer and that's it a romance book. She needs a new perspective and boy does she get one... Micah, holy crap, how does one describe this hunky, sexy, drop dead gorgeous, cocky musician with a heart of gold and a charm that could melt panties...oh I guess I just did lol. There's nothing I would change about him.. I mean sure he should have more upfront with her brother but oh well, it slipped their minds. I loved this book cause even when they tried to deny their attractions and chemistry they couldn't. This is a brilliant written book with characters you will fall in love with! Definitely one of my favs from this author! Oh and Micah is book boyfriend top ten by far!

I just fell in LOVE with Micah...holy cow he was Cocky, Arrogant and has a wonderful Dirty Mouth!!! He is sooo my new BBF!!! He was delicious!
Ok, so now onto my review..lol Tegan decides to go hang out with her brother for the summer. She is excitied to be going to California, chilling by the ocean and working on her new book. But she will be a little distracted when she meets Micah. Micah works for Tegan's brother at his bar. Well Tegan and Micah kinda get off on the wrong foot, ummm she kinda sees a little more of him then she needed to on their first meeting..lol You just wait and see, you will love this part!! haha Actually there are soo many LOL moments in this book and in true Victoria Ashley form, some over the top freaking HAWWT...I MEAN HAWTTT scenes in Strung. Lord the truck scene had me running over to the air conditioner and turning it down!!! Warning...your kindle may spontaniously combutst while reading!!! lol
Anyway, of course Micah has been warned by Tegan's brother...well, actually threatened not to touch Tegan. You know...Bro Code and all. lol but Yeahhh, Micah just can't keep his hands to his self, no matter how many times he pushes Tegan away, it's just impossible!!
I gave Strung 5 Fan-Dam-Tastic Stars!!! I sooo enjoyed reading this book and would love more of them, ohhh Hell, I would love some spin offs of Tegan's brother and the guys in the bar...etc...lol
