✨ I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review ✨
3,5/⭐️

The good girl is the continuation of Kennedy and Hunters story which I feel wasn’t necessary since they got their closure/ happily ever after in the first book. I do however understand that the second book is more to explain the reason behind the characters behaviour.

Kennedy is slowly discovering more about herself and Hunter is fighting his feelings about his mom reappearance. New realities means new challenges but what happens when you want different things ?

Some parts of the book went forward a bit to fast , I felt like it would have helped the storyline and foremost the reader with more details / descriptions of what both Hunter and Kennedy felt especially when they were drifting apart , they are suppose to love each other . I do however appreciate Kennedy’s attitude / facing the situation , that makes her different from so many heroine.

Overall I do think that the book has a good base as a storyline but it’s not as strong as the first book but I do think that the series has great potential and I’m looking forward to the reading the next book in the series .

The story of Hunter and Kennedy continues and it's not as HEA as the first book was this book is pretty tragic it deals with some pretty emotional topics both with Hunter, Kennedy and her friends. Hunter and Kennedy's relationship is put to the test Hunter makes some really bad choices and Kennedy dose what she has to in order to protect her own emotional health. Kennedy will once again face some of her fears and grow as a person she will also get a much needed visit from her mom and Hunter will tackle his family drama but it's to soon to tell if his healing is permanent or if there are going to be more problems and he goes back of the deep end again and if he dose it could be the end of him and Kennedy. Once again the author tries up everything by the end to at least give Kennedy and Hunter some kind of happy storyline but whose to say it will last guess will have to read book 3 to find out I know I will.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

>Book Review – The Good Girl
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2ndt in the Pacific High School series. Hunter is now in rehab. He really treated Kennedy poorly. The drug and alcohol addictions were understandable, but the hanging out with his evil ex, Ava, was unforgivable to me. During this time apart, Kennedy catches the eye of Dylan. She has fun with Dylan, no drama. I found it hard to believe that the star of a popular boy band, Dylan, would be able to take Kennedy out without a zillion paparazzi around, though.
>I did like the fact that the author has Kennedy go to therapy. Therapy is usually not shown in a positive light, but Kennedy really is helped by it. Kennedy skips a lot of school, seemingly without consequence. The romance is also not super romantic. There is a lot of angst.
>This book is appropriate for a young adult (18+) audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. There were way too many editing errors. I came across 11 errors without even trying. For example the word “odor” was used instead of “door”.

When my life fell apart last year, I became the girl that everyone needed me to be:
The good girlfriend. The good daughter. The good student.
I’ve been keeping it together.
But I’ve lost track of who I need to be—for myself.
Because I can’t be everything for everyone else.
Not when the attacks keep coming.
They tried to destroy me once and I fought back. And they haven't given up.
But I'm not the new girl anymore.
They have no idea what this “good girl” is capable of doing if they push me too far ...

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable.
Great world building that adds so much to the story.
Can't wait to read more of these.
Recommend reading.

The first book I read written by Ashley Rose was Raven. Raven was really good and actually very believable and nothing I've read before (at least the concept was new for me).

The Good Girl starts pretty much at the moment when The New Girl ends. Hunter is the perfect boyfriend, Kennedy feels pretty content etc. All is looking well for them, but 4-book series cannot proceed without any twists. The twist was good, I liked how the story changed and got a bit darker, the only thing (I suppose that is the reason why I gave 4 stars) is that I don't feel for Hunter anymore, I'd like that Kennedy explored some bit. Actually, I hope she does that in the next books.

*I received an ARC from the author's team and the expressed opinion is my own.

Lost me

Again with the editing errors. I can't handle it. I really liked Dylan and wanted more Kennedy and Dylan. Hunter is a mess and deserves love and support, but man was he too distant for me. Also very confused why Kennedy called him Hunter Scott after the ride and not Hunter West.
The story did well transitioning from book one to book two, but Kennedy is seventeen and lived more of a life most 30 year olds have never experienced. There were too many holes in the plot for me to want to read on from here. I wanted to look past all the flaws and enjoy it, but it honestly got worse and worse.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns with emotions that makes you want more. It was hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride that was all she could do was do everything they want.

Roller Coaster ride!!

What a wonderful follow up to The New Girl. No life and love are without trials and tribulations and Kennedy and Hunter are no exception. Wonderful new character introduced. Dylan. I am a fan. I’m in deep book love with Hunter, but Dylan has snuck into my thoughts more than I’m comfortable admitting. Clearly that’s great work on author, Ashley Rose’s part. Can’t wait to see what twists and turns lie ahead for these characters.

The Good Girl picks up on Kennedy and Hunter's story just past the ending of The New Girl. There were definitely twists and turns in the book but in the end, I have to admit, I no longer cared for Hunter. It's pretty bad that I started wanting Kennedy to move on. There was just almost too much drama and I'm not saying not to stick with your man, but there's also only so much a woman should take before moving on. It was still a good read though.

Loving this series reading about hunter and Kennedys whirl wind romance is something else, it is seriously like being on a roller coaster I'm seriously rooting for them but I have a feeling something or someone is always going to rear there head somewhere along the line

The story begins right after the first book finishes, so I would recommend you read the first book before starting this one. It's as nail biting as the first one and I read it in one sitting.

Must Read

Boots and Hunter need to get their stuff together. I still think there is fishy things going on and she forgives to easy and let’s him off the hook for stuff she should hold him too. I don’t think she’s tell her The Who truth about things.
