I think the writing style was 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖒𝖊. The book wasn’t that bad it just never held my attention and interest that long, it really took me a while to finish this and it’s a short story so…

One of the things I couldn’t deal with sometimes was the 𝒸𝒽𝑒𝑒𝓈𝒾𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓈. Perhaps I’m insensitive or not the typical romantic girl, who knows, but I cringed many times while reading some word choices from the characters, especially when the scene didn’t even merit it.

Another thing was the 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇𝑒𝑜𝓉𝓎𝓅𝑒𝓈, maybe I’m being too picky but I’m tired of how latinos are portrayed not only in romance fiction. It goes from the typical character (often it’s some kind of helper) no shaming the job but it’s always the same, almost; to the use of the language (inserting spanish words at some random times that for a native speaker just don’t sound good there). Like I said, it could be that I’m being too dramatic.

About the story itself, everything happened too fast since the beginning with the ´love-at-first-sight´ scene. Either I believe it or not, in this case I didn’t. Also, I couldn’t connect with the protagonists; I believe it was that cheesiness I talked about.

Again, this can work for others but it didn’t do it for me. Sorry.

Very Good Book

I love reading about the Bodyguards of Supreme Clientele. I was waiting for Angelo story. It was very good. Zenobia is the woman who Angelo was hired to protect. They both fell in love with each other. I am happy everything worked out for them. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

First, Atlanta’s Finest is a great series, and it continues with the story of Angelo Gonzalez, former DEA agent, and Zenobia “Zen” Westfield, celebrity singer, who, in her own words, has been “used, abused, and betrayed”. I like what talented author Sharon C. Cooper does with a very familiar trope, the fake relationship. As a member of Supreme Security, Angelo is tapped to protect Zen by posing as her love interest after a thwarted kidnapping, and other flagrant actions against her. The storyline is fast-paced, intriguing, and full of twists and turns from the start to the finish.

BETRAYED is an engaging and compelling story, and I recommend it. I also encourage you to read the other four stories in this series that highlight the men of Supreme Security and their women.

Betrayal is one of the worst forms of flattery. Angelo experienced this level of deception at the hands of someone he trusted. The former DEA agent found himself in the middle of a high profile case as one of the Atlanta's Finest newest member. Singer Zenobia needed the help of this elite team of hotties to keep her safe from an unknown attacker. Angelo was the man for the job and he did it well. Yes, it was worth the wait....

Entertaining 3.5 stars

I enjoyed the book and the 2 protagonists. However, they were a few things that bothered me. The main thing is that the too generic physical descriptions were frustrating. Angelo is mixed race but what about her? Was her father African American or Mexican? Apart from the locks what does her brother look like? . The whole action basically being over 2 weeks was also a bit too fast. Mainly the whole falling madly in love part. I understand that the cartel information was sensitive and buried deep but how come they didn’t find the info about Elijah before? She might have trust issues but wanting people to protect you blind, is just asking for trouble. She was lucky in a way that the group was still small but this whole ordeal could have turned out very differently. Given her family ties, what was she thinking becoming a singing sensation? If someone looked close enough she could have been found out. At the same time I was disappointed, that she gave up her career to only be a songwriter. I find a lot of romance novels and interracial ones in particular, frustrating because the heroine always seems to have to give up her career in some ways to be happy. As she loves singing what would have been wrong with her just putting out albums and only singing in small venues? She would have carried on doing what she loves but contained the over the top side of it. This would have limited the chances of someone being interested in digging too deep allowing her privacy. On top of that with her boyfriend working for a security firm, I am sure they could have worked something out.

The Betrayed Finds Loyalty And Love!

Betrayed, Atlanta's Finest series is the love story of former DEA agent Angelo González and singing sensation, Zenobia "Zen" Westfield. All of the books in this series were more than just love stories.

This is another that is so much more. It had it all: betrayal, deceit, lies, abandonment, seduction and exposure. Angelo hated liars with a passion because he had been betrayed by the very people who was supposed to always have his back - the DEA. Not only was he betrayed but several of his partners who were also his friends had been killed. Zenobia suffered abandonment and seduction which led to her being held hostage and being abused. Zenobia lied and kept secrets from Angelo to protect others.

They had both been victims of betrayals and eventually found love, loyalty, faithfulness, protection and support with each other but also from everyone with Supreme Security even knowing the worst.

This book had so many grammatical errors that were distracting. It also left me with questions about several things that happened. It made no sense that Elijah got the drop on a couple of the security specialists no matter what happened. Also, how did Rock and his right hand man ever get to pull guns on Laz or any of the security specialists? Finally, there's not enough description of the characters other than the men were all tall, big and fine and the women were all gorgeous.

Even with all the errors and questions, it's one of the best in the series.

Angelo is apart of the Bad guys of Atlanta's Finest. He was once DEA and his past seems to want to rear its ugly head. He takes a run and finds himself coming to the aid of a lovely woman who seems to be on the verge of being kidnapped. He foils the attempt but finds he looses something else.
Zen is an up an coming singing star who has had her life turned upside down lately. She call an old friend who is Atlanta PD. He lets her know he has some friends who would be ideal to help her. Imagine the shock and excitement she feels when as she waits for a meeting with the Security company, she sees her sexy rescuer again.
Angelo and Zen felt an attraction from moment one of meeting each other. Last thing Angelo wants is to be assigned to her case.
To find out who is trying to hurt Zen, Angelo is given the cover of being her boyfriend. The attraction these two have nearly burn up the pages from start to finish.
However, Ms. Cooper weaves a story of intrigue, murder and deceit that has you turning pages and guessing what can happen next.
This is book 5 in this series and you are able to follow up on previous characters introduced.
Love the series and can't wait to see what will develop between Geneva and Myles...Great read..

WOW, this book was fantastic, this whole series is awesome. Mrs. Sharon you rock!!! Another great read by Sharon C. Cooper, once you start the series you will be hooked. Who would have known a jog in the park and seeing each other from a distant would lead to a happy ending despite all the drama that was about to happen. The ones that say that they will never fall in love always fall the hardest and Angelo's love and attraction to Zenobia is what kept her safe and unhurt. Angelo promised to never give his heart because of two reason his past undercover work with the DEA and the fact that he hate liars. Zenobia shy but in public eye and full of secrets that could destory her or get her killed if they ever came to light. Their were lots of surprises and jaw dropping moments in this book. Hated for it to end, i'm patiently waiting on book 6 in the series and wonder if Myles has meet his match.

Secrets have a way of coming forward ..

Let's talk plot development and character development, if you've never read a Sharon C. Cooper story than I am here to tell you, you've been missing out. She has a way of drawing you into the characters and also seeking to know where she's going next. That is what we have with Betrayed. You have Zenobia and Antonio on this path of protection and passion. Where the past has just as much to do with their lives as the present. Hired to protect, became so much more with the cartel involved. But with Supreme Security on the case, it made for a great action pack ride.

The sub characters are who I come to enjoy, take Sofia and her role in this story and how intricate she was to the smallest fabric of redemption for Zenobia and Antonio. You'll like this story because it streams realism. You can envision this story playing out and rooting for the best.

Secrets never stay hidden

So loving this series. Angelo and Zenobia "Zen" felt a strong connection even as he was saving her life at their first meeting. However, they both have trust issues as they move through trying to figure out who is after her. Zen's life is in danger but once Angelo's team "Supreme Securities" gets involved, she feels a little less scared. Boy was I shocked to learn the true relationship between Zen and Rock. I was thinking their relationship was as school friends. It's beautiful that Sofia chose to have a loving relationship with Zen instead of holding the infidelity of her husband and Zen's mother against her. The guys of Supreme Securities are a woman's dream hero, Egypt is the "sister" that helps keep them in line. After all that Zen has endured in her life, she and Angelo deserve their happy ending. Maybe after some years have passed, Rock won't be hated so much by Angelo. Mrs. Cooper, another thumbs👍up to this series.

Hard to trust once you've been betrayed!

Here another one of Atlanta's Finests gets to tell his story, fall in love, find himself in suspenseful situations and finally all things come together quite nicely. Angelo Gonzalez like his buddy Myles swore he would never follow Ham, Laz, Henton, Mase, and Whiz into the throes of matrimony yet something tells me with the beautiful talented and hiding a secret Zenobia that is just where he may be headed. I liked the rollercoaster of emotions this story took me on because at the end I was most pleased with the outcome!!! I recommend Betrayed to all Sharon Cooper fans and those who after reading this book will definitely join the ranks of Sharon Cooper fans!!!! This is a job very, very, very well done. Take a bow Sharon and tell me when it will be available in audio😇☺😃

Loved It

Wow every time I read one of the book in this series I don't think it can get any better but it does. Loved Angelo and Zen. Angelo met Zen when he is out for a jog and two men tried to kidnap her. There is so many layers to this story, who sit up Angelo's DEA team, who is Zen's father, how did she survive after her mother died? This story has a bit of mystery and suspense. Kudos to the author, keep this series coming. Seems as though each member of Atlanta's Finest get better and better. Angelo is my new book boyfriend.😉😉. Cannot wait for the next book in the series.

This story was great! It had a few twists to add to the mystery which I loved. It kept me turning the pages!!

Angelo was not playing when it came to protecting Zenobia and neither was Atlanta's Finest.

Angelo and Zenobia were a good match for one another and all they had in common only solidified their chemistry. They helped one another to tear down the barriers they both had around their hearts and learned to trust as well as open their hearts to love.

This author has given us another solid romantic suspense story.

Loving the Love

As usual, I was totally absorbed in this novel. I loved Zanobia and Angelo' s real love. The details, the plots, the moods, the characters, and the sweet romance met my adrenaline high with anticipation. Sharon is a dynamic writer and author who keeps her readers waiting and wanting more. Every novel is very informative and I am looking forward to reading the next novel.

Still The Finest!!

Once again S.C. has done the thing. I absolutely love this series and Angelo & Zen fit right in with the other couples (Laz is still my favorite). Loved their instant chemistry & the mystery involved with the storyline. Excited for all the other stories in the making but I really need something else with Monty a.k.a Rock. I want to see him legit & in love!!

Excitement and romance

Sometimes you find the one even when you’re not looking. This book was full of twists and turns and kept your interest from the very beginning. This series has been great and this one was no different. You’ll be very surprised how things come together for Angelo & Zenobia. Secrets destroy.

Supreme Songbird

When supreme security finest connects with a singing sensation the lyrics become deadly. Great read. 1 complaint...not enough of other characters family. The babies. The wives of the other agents. I had to reread the other Atlanta's finest books to remember who the agents were.

It is true Secrets have a way of coming out. Ren and Angelo was a great story. They both had to learn how to be open and honest with each other. Ren had suffered many tragedies in her life but she still managed to keep moving foward. Angelo was slow to trust people but he had to be more open to win Ren's heart.

Excellent! Really enjoyable read

Sharon Cooper continues to write suspenseful, intriguing romance that keeps the reader engaged. Totally enjoyed Angelo and Zenobia's story. Their connection from the beginning was unbelievable but what started as an unbelievable connect soon evolved into the lyrics of a beautiful rendition- we are in this together. Totally enjoyed!

Rooting for Zenobia

Zenobia and Angelo had a challenging road to each other. Their story was not the typical romance but it was a great romance and in some ways typical. There was mystery and excitement as well as some twists, turns and surprises. This was a well written story. I enjoyed it very much.

I love Sharon C. Cooper's series Atlanta's Finest. Angelo, former DEA agent is the focus of this book. Angelo saves a woman who captures his attention from the beginning. Little did he know Zenobia was going to change his life in so many ways. This book had everything. Another good book in this series.
