I actually like the beginning of this story and the characters and couples, but I find myself most sympathetic to the supporting characters and villains in the story. Perhaps the author just did too good a job of making her characters realistic, but I was a bit disgusted with some of the face slapping (I usually love reading about that part).

In fact, I feel like the Liu family are the prime source material for a rebirth sequel. That's not really what I expect to feel in a rebirth novel.

I actually don't feel that strange about the mildly incestuous and grooming nature of the main couple because the author actually does a pretty good job of making it clear that the characters understood, struggled with, and tried to mitigate the morally questionable parts of the relationship.

Honestly, if the story ended at chapter 50, I would have given it a 5 star. As it is, I'm not sure I want to finish

Rating: 3/5- This started off strong but really went cold around halfway.

The story is rather typical rebirth, get a second chance at life and do better. I think the MC did very well in the aspect. I think what lowered the rating for this book was the lack of chemistry between the characters and the rather bland ML.

I would have preferred the MC got together with someone else and rather had a doting brother figure instead. The story doesn’t have much complexity or angst. The villains aren’t as villainous and I felt rather bad for them.

On the favorite characters list I enjoyed the MC a lot on his own, he wasn’t his best self dating his brother. I liked Li Tao but his ending was incredibly lacklustre- he served better. And Bowen and He Long were great.

This is a very average read- nothing will really leave a long lasting impression. Read it if you want something light

Meh. I wanted to like this but every other plotline and every other character just annoyed me. I think the only people I liked were the MC at the start of the story and Li Tao. I really like the author too, so this was extra disappointing.

While the novel was interesting, the translator's comments interspersed throughout the chapters got annoying after a while. Luckily, they bolded those parts, so it was easy to skip over them.

This story is really something new. Especially when it comes to characters.

It’s the first time I see such main cupped and it’s a bit strange. Still, I like the read quite much. For me, personally, those main characters were very alive. It’s the first time I was able to associate myself with the characters so much. Closer to the end I was even crying. But don’t be scared, very small amount of drama and maybe it’s me being sentimental here.

The side characters and villains are not that interesting, but good. My favorite is Li Tao and I’m glad he got his ending too.

Also, what I like about this story is that it has all in moderation, plot, fluff, drama, AND almost every character, even side ones and villains, got there own ending. It’s really interesting to see them after their part of the story ended and a it makes the whole world of the novel more alive and detailed.

I sincerely recommend to try it yourself.
