It's Visitor's Weekend at Camp Croak and Lexie Wilde and her band of Ghost Scout friends are looking forward to seeing their families. But when Grams doesn't appear, and instead someone claiming to be Lexie's mother arrives, Lexie doesn't know what to think. And when a Wish Wind suddenly flies through camp, causing chaos and mayhem, the scouts must use their best skills and badges to unravel the chaos that ensues. Slayed! Very cute continuation of the series that doesn't disorient you too much if you haven't read the first! Illustrations are as gorgeous as always, and I loved the silly plot.

Come per il primo volume Una vacanza da paura! Torniamo al Campo Ranocchia e ci sarà da divertirsi e da rabbrividire. Un libricino per i bimbi dai 5 agli 8 anni che non hanno paura di niente e nessuno e che non si fermano davanti alle apparenze. Ritroviamo gli splendidi protagonisti che tanto amiamo con le loro doti fuori dal comune che li rendono unici al mondo. Perché se esiste un modo per insegnare ai piccoli la bellezza della diversità è proprio attraverso libri come questo, in grado di dare delle lezioni di vita senza appesantire la lettura.

E poi quanto è bello unire le forze per combattere chi vuole mettere le mani sul campo più inclusivo del mondo e chiuderlo per sempre? Solo insieme si può avere la meglio sui mostri che popolano questo mondo, ma i mostri veri, non quelli che dovrebbero terrorizzarci per il loro aspetto, i mostri che hanno un animo corrotto e non sanno cosa significhi aprire il proprio cuore al prossimo e ragionare senza porsi limiti di fronte a chi non è uguale a loro.

Sono ormai affezionata a questa serie, amo le illustrazioni semplici, ma di forte impatto, i colori predominanti questa volta sono il verde della copertina e il rosso e nero dei disegni all’interno. Un libro che grida Halloween a gran voce e che non potrete fare altro che amare per il messaggio importante che trasmette.

What can I say about this delightful book and series to convey its awesomeness?

On occasion I enjoy reading children’s stories, especially ones like this which can also be enjoyed by readers who have long finished grade school. It’s great spooky fun and full of kindness and gentle wisdom.

Taylor Dylan’s art is so adorable and I am planning on continuing reading the rest of the series.

Felt like author rushed into action too fast, which was overwhelming rather than gripping. Other than that, it’s humorous, visually attractive and entertaining book
