My characters are plunged into worlds where they experience torture and mayhem, but even in a world of darkness, true love survives. Will give a very strong trigger warning as this book deals with incest and all of the nasty parts that come with it. The book was a little confusing right from the start and it takes a while for you to fit the pieces together. I had sympathy for Heather and what she was going through with the loss of her sister.

The story started to head towards over the top eye rolling territory with her visit to the police station where we got the good cop bad cop routine. Then when we get to her office she is doing interviews to fill her vacant counselor positions. For some reason she kept stressing to herself she was in charge. You are the boss duh…

This is where we meet Scythe Angel and he comes across kind of boorish he’s checking her out and immediately wants to get her naked. I guess I like at least a page or two before my characters start undressing each other.

From then on it feels like for most of the book everyone is speaking at the top of their lungs. Heather starts yelling at Scythe, he gets involved in her business right away and neither one of them make me feel anything other than annoyance.

I felt like I was watching one of those badly acted Sunday night movies where everything is stilted and the bad guys are really bad and their lines are so cheesy you almost groan. The good guys try really hard to come across as earnest but it never seems to get pass mediocre.

The subject matter is very weighty and the ramifications from it happening has colored so many lives that I felt like the book didn’t really do it justice. For me this was a miss others may enjoy it, the main characters just annoyed me to no end.

Demons, Angels, a hell drug, and revenge. Heather is a therapist and counselor at Serenity House for alcohol and drug addicts. Her sister is recovering addict, but then her sister goes crazy kills several people and then commits suicide. Several more patients at Serenity House doe the same, and every time Heather has a detailed vision about what is going to happen. When she gets a chance to try to save one of them she sees a demon give the patient something then the patient turns into a crazed killer and then commits suicide. The police think Heather is the killer and selling drugs because they don’t believe her visions. When a dark angel named Scythe is sent to help her and to find his demon brother Blade, will he truly be able to help or make things worse? Heather was a social worker and she had visions about people but couldn’t stop them from happening. Scythe was hunting his brother because he thought that one of Heather’s people killed his angel-mate. So he was giving people in Heather’s life Xanadu a drug from hell to get rid of them, they would kill someone and then kill themselves. Blade was a bad demon and his brother a dark angel was trying to save him before archangel Michael would kill him. But Blade gave Heather some of the Xanadu to kill Scythe then he would give her more but the way the drug worked he would kill herself. Heather was Scythe’s angel-mate so Blade wanted to kill to get back at his brother. Michael changed some things Heather had to forgive herself for what she didn’t do to help her sister and then she was healed. They got married.

Immortal by ML Guida is the ULTIMATE in Good vs. Evil stories!!! It follows the life of Heather, owner of a Substance Abuse Rehab Facility and Scythe, the angel of death who is sent to bring back his brother into the fold. But, Heather gets in the way of his heart and his mission. This is an action-packed, good versus evil, thrill ride!!!! I LOVED EVERY WORD!!!!!

What a phenomenal beginning to this series!!! I can’t wait for more!!!

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

Wow what an amazing story I love stories about angels finding their fated mates plus they know someone that is evil well in this story it’s Scythe’s brother and he is after Scythe’s mate. There’s plenty of action, adventure, danger, suspense, twists and turns, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages and I was totally hooked and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Book one in the Dark Angels series a well written story, once I started reading I was not putting the book down until I finished reading. I want to read the next book. What a story of two sisters and what happens throughout their lifes. Also the men that come into their lifes, and the things that happen when they do. Immortal is quite a good book! It’s got lots of action and suspense and the chemistry between Heather and Scythe is great! I really enjoyed the story. The plot is exciting and I definitely want to continue reading this series. My one complaint is just how Insta-love this story was, but I guess what can you expect from fated mates? It’s definitely still worth the read though!

This is not your typical Angel story, it was nothing like I was expecting. There is an Angel who finds his fated mate, and a brother who has gone over to the dark side and is out for revenge. Add to that incest, kidnapping, murder and drugs and you have an idea of what to expect.
