Anabel ‘Ana’ Majer is feeling lost after recently graduated. But when an opportunity rises in the forms of a job as au pair in The States, she accepts and travels from her small home town of Zagreb, Croatia in hopes of finding herself while there in New York. What she doesn’t expect (whilst there) is to get swept off her feet by the handsome stranger Will. But knowing her time there is limited how can she allow it? Or will it be too late?
William ‘Will’ Josh Price New York Knights quarterback has it all, except the one thing he really wants a Super Bowl Ring. Or least that’s what he thought until he meets Ana aka Tink, the nanny who stole his breath at first sight. But with all the mixed signals she keeps throwing his way, how can he get her to see they are meant to be? Not knowing he has limited to do so.
I don’t know why it took me so long to read this book, especially considering how much I truly enjoyed it. But I guess better late than never.
Once again Anna B. Doe came through with another book, this being the story of Ana and Will in
Lost & Found
the first within the
New York Knights
series.
It is truly a beautiful and heartwarming story of two people who are not only complete opposites, but are on opposite journeys too, only to find love when they least expected.
It honestly tugged on my heart strings watching Will and Ana journey throughout the story. Not only with finding themselves and trying to achieve what they want. But at the same time, figuring out how to juggle it all. Considering they are both falling for each other. But not knowing how to handle it.
Something we definitely see mostly in Ana's case, since she seems to think it can't happen, since her life in The States is temporary. And even with deciding to be friends is better off, that too is hard as well for her, since the feelings she has for Will are so much more and seem to grow continuously throughout.
As for Will, he knew from the get go what he felt for Ana. You could see he went from 0-100 in a snap of fingers with his feelings for Ana and wanting to be together, but had a hard time getting her to commit.
The journey they travel though a super slow burn, it showed and proved to them what they felt was real and could be something more. And with absence making the heart grow fonder, there definitely could be something real between them if they gave in.
This book had all the feels, since the helpless romantic in me couldn’t help but sigh and swoon at every other page. The way Will was with and around Ana, it just had me feeling all lovey dove-y. Given that the emotions and feelings surrounding them both just seemed to pour right off the page. Making you fall in love with them both, mostly Will!
At the same time there was so much angst and that from Ana alone, considering the constant hot and cold vibes and the push and pull she did of Will. It definitely frustrated me to no end at times. Given her attitude towards Will, despite everything he did or said to prove himself to her about how he truly felt. It was like what more did she want from him to prove it is worth taking a chance.
It made her seem selfish since it seemed like she was only thinking about herself and her own feelings. As opposed to taking Will's feelings into consideration too. Instead doubting his feelings based on his past and life without truly getting to know him before passing those judgements.
And not actually seeing just how hard Will was falling for her, with always going out of his way to try and spend time with her. Even if it meant as friends only.
With that said, I did enjoy Lost & Found. Anna definitely came through with the first part to Ana and Will’s journey. Safe to say I cannot wait to get started on
Forever
to see how their journey will end in the
New York Knights
series.
