The new girl is the epitome of cute. Shy. Innocent. Blushes every time she looks at me. I know what she's thinking. What she wants. And I know exactly how to give it to her. ...But I won't. As my employee, she's off-limits. No matter how much I want her, I'm not giving in. Unfortunately, I know all too well where that road goes. In fact, I went there just last week. My ex-girlfriend was a bit of a drama queen. After our break-up, she went straight to the tabloids. Which sucked...but do you know what sucks more? The fact that she was my top author! Her steamy stories were going to launch my new hot lesbian romance line. Now she's with the competition, and my dreams of market domination are fizzling. Oh hell no. This publishing line is my baby. There's no way I'm going to lose. All I need is a new author. Turns out new girl's writing is just about perfect. In fact, there's only one problem with her book. Her s*x scenes suck...because she's never had it. All she needs is a good editor to tutor her... F*ck. We all know where this is going.

I don't really know how to review this book since all I have is mixed feelings but in its whole it was a good story. It was mainly the writing that was a problem for me.
Both MCs are really great but I had expected a little bit more of drama coming from Wanda so it seemed to easy to just keep going as nothing happened but well I'm not gonna complain.
The side characters were great too well apart from the lawyer and the ex that I already forgot the name.
I'll give 4 stars but it's not an easy choice

2 Stars for this erotica short story. I picked this up via a BookFunnel giveaway. It was a new author for me. Boss/employee romance is a favorite trope of mine. Unfortunately, in this case it just didn’t work for me. I didn’t feel any chemistry between the characters. Oh, well your mileage may vary.

Unfortunately, I didn't really like this book. Two reasons : the plot and the characters. I didn't like either of them. The plot set in a publishing house didn't excite me and I didn't care about any of it. And the "Boss" was a bitch for most of the book. I don't get what her new employee found so charming or exciting about her.

Also, I found out that the sex scenes could feel repetitive and just not exciting as a result. When you have the same mechanics over and over it gets boring. There wasn't a lot of chemistry so it didn't help either.

That's about it about this book. I think I'll try to find a slower burn F/F next time as I tend to love the tension at the beginning in romance. It's always difficult to find books that are slower burn + exciting once the characters admit their feelings. Hopefully I'll find a gem soon <3

This was my first FF read and I was just really disappointed... I found myself skipping through the steamy scenes cause it was so repetitive and so often lol

The storyline was alright but over-all just underwhelming

Super HOT

Another great story by Clara Reese. I read the first two and loved the characters. This book had me run through all my emotions. I was angry, aroused, sad, frustrated and over the moon happy. There are a lot of great sexual encounters between Patricia and Wanda. You may need a change of clothes after😍. I look forward to Gabby finding a girlfriend next.

Hot!!!

A wannabe author starts working at a publishing company she submitted her transcript too. After a fall out with a previous author publisher is trying to locate the author. Due to her name change at the job she is found by error. Publisher takes her under her wing and helps tutor her in the intimate scenes where the author is failing. This is very hot! I look forward to more of Clara Reese work.

Love the ice Queen!

Loved this one. The wonderful ice Queen that would bite your head off and yhe shy and reserved Wanda who becomes best of herself because of Patricia. Both characters are extremely lovable. This book was great! Hot and sweet!

I can tell the author has grown and evolved since this book because I read a more recent one and the characters and story were much better developed than here. This had a few inconsistencies and some of the characters weren't properly introduced or established. The grandpa side story vanished and the relationship between the MC's didn't connect with me. Wanda kinda bothered me at times because she just seemed so fragile and scared but no strength was developed from her experience.

And then Patricia was hard to grasp because one minute she's a stoic ice queen that doesn't take shit and another, she's silently looking at her lap while reporters rip her and Wanda apart. All while thinking of the things she should but doesn't say to rebut or dispute the accusations.

And then there was Jessica. It wasn't just that she was frustrating because she was the antagonist but I didn't understand her motivations for anything she did. The break up and betrayal seemingly came out of nowhere and without explanation and the continued attacks didn't make sense to me either. Jessica is the one who left and did Patricia dirty. Why was she being described as looking vindicated like she was exacting revenge? For what? Even if it's a warped reality she's seeing where she felt wronged, that was never explained.

The sex scenes were good. Maybe a little repetitive at times but there were a lot and they were well written. It'd be ironic if they weren't though lol It's still obvious to the reader that there was something there but I think because I didn't emotional click with the characters, the rest kind of fell to the side.

I don't mean to crap all over this because like I said, this was written about 8yrs ago and the author has definitely evolved. This one just didn't work for me.

I usually only leave reviews on really outstanding novels or certain stories that stood out so much due to the poor writing. This is the latter.
First of all, I will have to say I did not finish the book, I only read it about halfway through and the rest I skimmed over.

Secondly, the sex scenes in this story were erotic for the first few times. However, there was hardly any connection or emotional link before the two main leads jumped into bed together. The sex scenes got rather stale as the story progressed because for every few pages I turned, there's another sex scene. I suppose I should have realized that I was reading erotica and not an actual story-telling novel.

Finally, the important part: the story itself. It was very basic, not compelling and it does not let you connect to the characters too much. It could be my biased opinion but I felt like all the characters were way too simple, their background, their motives, their emotions. It felt more like little kids in adult bodies, fighting in the playground that was designed as an office.
Then again, this might just be because this is an erotica and not a novel. Due to the length of this book, I did not realize I was reading erotica at first, this could have been my mistake too.

Eh, I'd give it a 3.5 for creativity and the actual characters in the story.
I like Clara Reese's style and tone throughout her story so far, but this just wasn't great.

There wasn't anything wrong with the characters themselves, I loved Wanda and liked Patricia, hated Jessica as she was the antagonist. However, I didn't really connect with much of the story, aside for the sex scenes which were really hot, the story could've used a bit more work and the technicality of the grammar wasn't great either. I feel like this is 5th grade vocabulary with a nicer word thrown in somewhere random. The grammar (spelling specifically) was not really well edited.

Hopefully she does come back with more because I'd like to see where and how she improves in her storytelling.

Oooh, this was hot, hot, hot!

Great storyline and just when I thought it was over, the heat was turned up even more. Patricia and Wanda sure know how to do a complete 180° turnaround. Patricia said something in the book that literally had me screaming out loud cheering for her. She said, "I’m back you fucking bastard. Bitches bounce back twice as hard the second time around." I was on edge and just about in tears myself at what was going on so, when that line was said, I felt it to my soul. Seriously, read this book. You'll be hooked from the first chapter and will likely finish it all in one sitting.

I picked this up out of sheet book boredom and now I can't have back the time I spent reading. Some books are so bad that that they're just good and I desperately believed that this was the case. It, in fact, is absolutely not. I just found it absolutely boring. There was not a single thought or a plotline there that wasn't overdone a million times over. The characters were basically caricatures and the plot seemed only like a way to get into the sex scenes. Which were just,,,,average, honestly. Every sign of conflict gets solved magically in half a page, leaving you to read the book and still have no clue what the point was.

3 stars

This was just okay. It started out strong but once the evil ex drama started I got irritated. There’s way too much of that in f/f romances. Wanda and Patricia never fully came together as characters. Wanda is just too sweet and too innocent. Patricia seemed so tough but really she’s a hot mess. What carries this novel is the chemistry of the main characters. And the sex scenes are really amazing. I almost gave this book 2.5 stars but ultimately it was a fun read and I would recommend it, just keep your expectations low.

Drama filled story

Poor Wanda and Patricia having to deal with the destructive And vindictive Jessica. Patricia apparently had a hard time staying out of the new employees pants. After her break up with the heartless Jessica she found herself faced with a naive virgin Wanda who absolutely could not write a love scene to save her life. But a few hours with Patricia cured that problem apparently. Then the drama really started. This whole book was drama and really hot and explicitly described sexual acts, which were really hot. Really good read.

Great Boss and Employee Romance.

Patricia runs a publishing company and has just started a new line of lesbian erotica. Then Jessica, her girlfriend and the author of the series, leaves her and takes the books to another publisher. Now she’s desperate to find the author of a book in the junk pile that can be fixed with some help. Wanda her new PA is starting to spark her interest and things are heating up. Sexy, erotic romance. Recommend.

What a pleasant surprise❤❤❤

I have read a couple of her books previously and I didbt realize it, until I finished this one. Patricia is dominant and strong willed but just like most people wants to loved and accepted for who she is. Enter Wanda. She is shy, reserved and utterly infatuated with Patricia. Sometimes opposites attract but if you are lucky and the stars align perfectly, magic happens.

Too find love again.

I like from the beginning how Patricia tries not too get involved with her writers but when she found out that Wanda was the person she was looking for who had written the stories she had received like couple months ago. She couldn't help herself because she was attracted too her.

Don't read this book on the train or at work it's too hot..

This is a lovely sexy and hot romance, it is quite sweet with a few twist, turns and at least one scandal. Don't let your mother catch you reading this it might give her ideas. This is something you can't put down one of the really great romances. Spoiler there us an HEA but it's a romance you expect it.

The B wears Prada

The out most equations of how to fall in love with a writer. Hit out of the park, with lust, and intense qualms. I am on the fence about how I feel indifference about the story line itself. It has hot seens and the characters are some underrated and others are good. I believe that the book got me hooked. So in other part lost me. I still give 4 stars.

Boring, too fast paced

It’s just not that good. Unbelievably accelerated timeline with boring characters. This book is filled with steamy sex scenes so it’s not all bad but this book is more porn than love story.

A well developed story with believable characters. Had a thriller situation and some comedy. Could have added more suspense. An entertaining read.
