Bypass Gemini by Joseph Lallo Lex was the next great hoversled pilot until a fixed race got him banned. Now a freelance delivery boy, life couldn't get any worse. Then a mysterious suitcase got him mixed up with mobsters, a megacorp, and a mad scientist. Now he must solve the mystery or die trying.
The Concordia Deception by J. J. Green After spending 184 years in suspended animation, scientist Cariad begins a new life in a remote space colony. On a planet rife with intrigue, betrayal, and alien threats, can she fight to preserve humanity's future in the stars?
C. Gockel got her start writing fanfiction, and she is not ashamed! Much. She received emails, messages and reviews from her fans telling her she should 'do this professionally'. She didn't; because she is a coward and life as a digital designer, copywriter and coder is more dependable. But in the end, her husband's nagging wore her down: "You could be the next '50 Shades of Gray' and I could retire!" Unfortunately, the author isn't much for writing smut. She is sad about this; she'd love for her husband to be able to retire and just work for her so she could nag him.
At the moment, Ms. Gockel is working on the next installment of her Archangel Project series.

I thought this was going to be a collection of stories that were related to each other. They were each separate stories of their own. The title was a little misleading. I've read some of these stories already. There were some new ones for me like Crystalline space and the one before that. Most of them are pretty good. I liked most of them. I might even read the rest of the trilogy of Crystalline Space.
Well this only is classed as one book even though there are 7 in the Box set. I gave up reading them in the end as they are all the first book in a series or trilogy. The first about a frustrated sex bot who inherits what I can only call a slinky, they go off to rescue a stranded spaceship and end up rescuing both ship and a maiden in distress who he does not have sex with. What the heck is the point in writing about a sex bot if you not going to get an nooky. I might add I have read the Arcangel books and was not impressed by them either The second book about what I can only think are androids, the one in the book gets here mind wiped and gets rescued by a group who are trying to change the word. She end getting more that she though she was getting into. By now I realised they were all first books in a series and not the short stories I thought they were. I skipped the books till the last one only to start reading about a looser who does not know when to stop. After he was thrown out of his flat I gave up and skipped to the end. If I want to read a series or trilogy I want to read the second not get a taster. Good job I got the box set free on Kindle library I would not buy them.
Star Nomad by Lindsay Buroker Good book by Liza on April 11, 2018**As the start of the series, Star Nomad introduces the characters. The driving issues for Alisa are well defined. The motives of Leonidas will obviously evolve as the stories continue. Mica and Beck provide growth in the group dynamic without needing to drive the story. Good characters and good action.
The Legacy Human by Susan Kaye Quinn Gold, gold, gold by Liza on August 1, 2018**Two levels of society - The ascenders live forever and are smarter and more beautiful than the legacy humans. Legacy humans can take part in the Olympics - no longer sport based. The Arts are now what are valued the most. Competitors (and close family) who win the gold medal have the opportunity to join the ascenders. Eli wants to save his mother. Will he gain more than he loses?
The Concordia Deception by J.J. Green I want a flitter craft by Liza on March 15, 2020**I read the book in Dec2019 but neglected the review. In Mar2020, I've read it again and got to re-enjoy those things that would be spoilers if I mentioned them (but they are soooo good). haha. The story revolves around "Do as I say because I'm older and wiser than you." Growth is not just about age; it's also about learning and discovery. Loved it
Too many names, characters, places, things, etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc. etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.….
I thought the book stunk.
I think it was a sketch for some other book. . . THE SECOND BOOK, By Jenner or Jennsen or Somebody….
By page 68, this book was still building up and had not even started yet.
Plus, it sounded stoopid and nonmature so I just quit reading and dumped the entire collection. I find these batched books almost always to me seem to stink. . .

Remarkable job guys, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
Outstanding anthology. This book contains several stories including J. J. Green's, The Concordia Deception and Joseph R. Lallo's, Bypass Gemini. Ms. Green writes of mankind's attempts to establish a foothold on a new planet in a distant star system. This is the beginning of a saga depicting the growing pains of a fledgling colony from earth, their problems, and failures. Even an internal situation left over from their departure from their long lost homeland. A very interesting and exciting series start which I give high marks for not ending in a cliff-hanger. Mr. Lallo presents a hotshot spacecraft race driver who lives for the thrill; now unfortunately relegated to live as a freelance package delivery guy. But never underestimate a delivery driver. Also several other tales of equal caliber. Enjoy the Savage Stars anthology soon. I received a free copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Savage Stars: 7 Novels of Space Opera, Aliens, AI, and Post Apocalyptic Adventure is a heck of a great collection. I’d already read Starship Waking by C. Gockel, Star Nomad by Lindsay Buroker, and The Legacy Human by Susan Kaye Quinn, and already knew they were fantastic. Happily, the ones new to me were equally great. I especially loved The Concordia Deception by J. J. Green (184 years in suspended animation, only to face intrigue, betrayal, and alien threats - Cariad had an uphill battle to face, with preserving humanity's future at stake. Fun stuff indeed.). Really, a great boxset that I’m happy to recommend.
Three of these books have appeared in other collections. One of these books is a YA story. I abhor YA stories. I was young once... I have no desire to revisit the narcissistic, arrogant, hormonal snarkiness that accompanies YA stories. Big pass. I like my reading material to have some depth to it. That said, a couple of the books did capture my imagination. I may follow up on a couple of the authors.
Seven will written fantasy Sci-Fi space opera adventure thrillers by seven different authors each with its own characters and story line. Most of these novels are book one ☝ in the series. I would recommend this box 📦 set to readers of fantasy Sci-Fi space opera adventures. I did a review of each novel. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶to Alexa as I do. 🏡🔰👒⏰ 2022
I enjoyed travelling through the universe with these writers. From angry aliens to mad scientists and suspect androids, there are some wild rides. What I particularly liked about these sci-fi series is the sheer originality and how they made me think about the choices we are making as a species, and where we might be headed in the far-future. All were great reads.
It was very interesting to read the books in the box. Some grabbed my attention immediately and others took some time to get started. Overall the box was a good read.
The stories are all on one similar theme. AND they are all first books with cliffhanger ending so to finish the story you have to get the next book. Definitely not as advertised.
This book set gives introductions to various series. Some I had read before and enjoyed, i found another new series that piqued my interest in colonising a new world.
An excellent collection of novels that kept me up till the wee small hours all week
Thoroughly enjoyed all the stories and will be looking out for sequels Highly recommended reading However am getting annoyed to have to fill a minimum word count in this review
Clever and interesting, all these Author’s firsts are worthy of following. Each different yet keeping in manner the sci fi masters of old. Action, technical detail that you’d swear was fact. Enjoy the feast.
Some books in here were more traditional types of sci-fi or space operas. Some were pretty unusual, such as the ones with Ascenders VS legacy humans. The more traditional ones I liked best, but all 6 books were pretty good stories.
For a good price you get the first novel of seven different series by seven authors, so I can't knock the couple I thought were horrible for the couple I will buy the next book of and the several remaining that I may or may not but they weren't bad either
