Jayce

She was innocent and he was nothing but trouble.
So why couldn't he leave her alone?

This is a new to me book and author and I was hooked from the very beginning.

Apprehension is book one of Sabrina and Jayce’s story. They grew up next door and then Sabrina moved aware. Flash forward a few years and she is back, however, Jayce isn’t the person she remembered.

This is a shorter story and was quick read for me, but I enjoyed the story. I loved the chemistry between Sabrina and Jayce, they truly couldn’t stay away from each other. I loved that there is some dangerous situations throughout the story when it comes to Jayce. It added some extra suspense to it.

This is book one of their story and it does end on somewhat of a cliffhanger if you ask me, there is definitely more I want to learn about these two characters and what happens next for them given how this story ended for them.

I won this ebook and this is my honest review. Very quick read, but wished there could have been more depth to the story in the way of character development . Also a few grammatical errors that were distracting. I would have rated it 4 stars, but the author needs to edit manuscript again and hopefully in the future as she gains more experience the stories will reflect more emphasis on the characters. Just seemed like the story was really rushed. 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a great quick read by such an amazing self published author. The story of Jayce and Sabrina is beautiful with some crazy twists.

They started off as childhood friends and neighbors when life took Sabrina away. The death of her grandfather brought her back to town and to the boy she was best friends with. Only he wasn’t the same. With her, nothing changed in him, except the attraction she now found she could not stay away from. He was the attractive bad boy of her school and all the girls were envious of their past bond. When they reconnected, neither knew of the events that would happen in the few short months of getting reacquainted. Could they get past the opticals that this bad boy has to offer?

I could not put this book down. Each chapter blended so well together that I had to see what was going to happen next. Each chapter did not disappoint and I loved that we got to read both Jayce and Sabrina’s points of view. I felt like I knew them and was rooting for them to be together!

I cannot wait to see what other stories K.D Clark comes up with!

***Possible spoilers ahead - depending on what you consider spoiling.***

First off, when I found out this wasn't your typical bad boy meets nice girl story I almost DNF'ed, because I am not one for different. However, I am glad I didn't.

He is in the friggin mafia! Like what?! I had never read this kind of book. Overall, for what it was - a short, easy read about two kids in high school I was satisfied. It follows the same kind of story, sexual tension for about 1/2 - 2/3 of the way through then they get together followed by problems. However, like I said though I did really overall enjoy this story. You get both character's POV which helped enhance the story.

My only problem was the ending seemed really abrupt, like you are five minutes from finishing a movie and the VHS tape busts. Other than that, it was a good read! If there is a continuation and I feel I have the time I would continue with it, though I am happy with where they left it so we will see.

I won this through Goodreads giveaways

I won this book as a goodreads giveaway. The synopsis of the book held promise, but the novel didn't follow through. I felt that the story was rushed, the characters were not developed very well. The author could do with finding a good copy editor because there were a lot of distracting grammatical issues in the book. I wanted to like it and I feel the story has promise but there are too many things about the book and the characters that were unrealistic.

Wow. I didn’t know what to expect from a first book, but this one really set up a good intro to a young adult mafia series. Normally I don’t do well with young adult, but this one had me hooked. So hooked I stayed up all night reading when I should have been sleeping.

I am thoroughly excited to see what happens with Jayce and Sabrina as they possibly make a move to the City, now that he is made.

I enjoyed this book. It was a short one and an easy read. It was hard to put down. The story of Sabrina and Jayce was a good girl/bad guy. It started when they were little and Jayce was very protective of Sabrina because she was picked on. Sabrina and her Mom moved away then moved back years later. Their bond just stayed as strong and got stronger. I really enjoyed the book.

I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway. This was the first book I have read from this author. Overall I found this book to be a very good read. The characters were a little younger than I normally read about but still a good read. I would recommend it to anyone.

A high school love story of childhood friends finding each other again. The story, however, doesn't read like an adolescent genre. It's an easy read but with depth. It was enjoyable and satisfying, and I will be reading its sequel.

AHH finally a good book out this set!!

Sabrina and jayce what a power couple!! This 2 part book really didn’t disappoint. After the other 3 boots I was like well I want to finish the set pro going to be ok not a I can’t put this book down.

Sabrina moved back to her grandpa home after he passed away with her mom. She was in her last year of school so not great to be up and moved but when she bumps into her childhood friend jayce the move isn’t as bad.. Unbeknown to her jayce has got him self mixed up with the wrong kind of people but it’s the life jayce has choice to live but when the girl next door moved back him he stuck between love and the mob.. he thinks Sabrina deserve the world and that world isn’t the world he could give her with mob life.into he can’t bear to see her with over men so gives her the auto Myton..

Part 2

This side of the book actually shows the ups and down of being with a mob member who’s climbing the ranks. This side shows you the lonely side of it. And it also has twists and turns that keeps you want to keep reading. The book also shows you more of the rules then the other 3 books when it comes to the mobs ways. I think this is more about Sabrina more then jayce yes there bits you read about him but this shows you how it’s also affects Sabrina life and the struggle she has.

Would highly recommend this book 5*

I’ve been waiting for the second book in Jayce and Sabrina’s duet since I finished the first book, Apprehension. This story does not disappoint and their relationship together continues in the Big Apple.

This story was filled with a little more drama and suspense compared to the first, but that is expected given Jayce’s increasing involvement with the Mafia. Despite, his dangerous lifestyle he did everything he could to make sure Sabrina remained safe and was happy.

Their chemistry was amazing in book 1 and continued to grow throughout this story. I loved their relationship so much more in this book. Jayce has the tough guy act, but he is super sweet and loving when it comes to his girl. I love that Sabrina really didn’t know what she wanted in her life and watching her discover more about herself and what she wants was inspiring.

This was a shorter story and a fairly quick read but it was packed full of steamy, romance, and suspense. Jayce and Sabrina’s duet is a MUST READ.
