A very thoroughly enjoyable series of Battletech novel shorts tying together to make a cohesive story. Loosely connected arcs of each character and ending in a thoroughly Battletech manner that the characters you've come to root for have suddenly and with no recourse become a footnote in the overall series. And it slots in so fanatasically well to the established 30 year + lore.
