***Elizabeth, Guardian of Dragons is Book Five of the Fated Alpha Series. Each book features a paranormal romance, a true reverse harem with one woman and four sexy, demanding and protective shifters. This series is intended for adult readers for sexual situations, violence, and lots of cussing.***
A fun sexy read between a female alpha and 4 sexy dragons.
In this 5th book, Elizabeth tries to figure out how to keep all the guys together. And she is also assigned to look for a mole in the Queen's organization.
This book is more erotic than the previous stories, so be ready to read some steamy scenes.
The fifth book in the series and I felt like this book was a turning point. I felt that this was the book where the Five of them finally come together as a unit. I loved that they worked out their issues in this book and it made them stronger. There are some twists to the story and what (and who) we thought were the baddies along the way. There were some super hot scenes in this book too, I mean wowzers I could feel the steam coming off my kindle! I loved it. I really enjoyed that Elizabeth got to go on her first mission too, I felt that really added to her becoming a full and permanent part of their team. I'm really looking forward to reading the next in the series, whilst this book wrapped up some storylines (and I say some as I don't think they're fully wrapped up) there's still more for Elizabeth and the guys to do. Plus the author sneaked in a cheeky little surprise twist right at the very end of the book. It made me giddy with excitement when she did that as I can't wait to see how that will pan out, really looking forward to seeing what will happen there. Five stars from me for this book, I really think that each book in the series is going from strength to strength and whilst I've loved these books from the beginning I'm getting even more excited as I read each new one.
The book is okay but after awhile it’s like a never ending story. It reminds my of a pretty little liars series where they are so desperate to keep it going that you begin to lose interest. There are some pretty disturbing scenes in this book too.
I have to say, I didn't see the bad guy coming. Well I mean I saw the turmoil but I never guessed the culprit. I'm impressed. I enjoyed this book and loved seeing the group grow closer through the hardships faced. And it's so damn sexy.
I have received an ARC for each of the books in this series and I look forward to each one. I really enjoyed this one, but I don't think it was my favorite. Just like the others, it was action- packed. But this time, and I cannot believe I'm saying this, there was too much sex. I know you're wondering if that is even possible. It is.
I am willing to admit that the sex scenes, for the most part, served to further the plot. They certainly helped add a deeper dimension to the relationships forming between Elizabeth, Hunter, Avery, Easton, and Christian. But, to me, the depictions seemed more physical than spiritual or emotional. Another issue is that the guys are constantly telling Elizabeth how gorgeous and amazing she is and they all love her. The story is told in third-person from her POV. I think the problem for me is that it seems like humble bragging from her. Furthermore, though the guys do thoughtful and caring things for her, I don't see her doing much of the same. In fact, I think her idea of showing she cares is having sex with them.
Lest my criticism comes across as a fully negative review, let me clarify. I gave the book 4 stars. I definitely enjoyed it and I'm anxious to read the next book in the series.
DNF @ page 65. This series is not good. I powered through the first several but honestly they are garbage. There is nothing special about any of the characters. They all are distilled down into like 1 character trait and the writing is trash. The best characters in the entire series is Easton and Christian but even they werent enough for me to continue.
Woo Boy... This one brought out the feels in me! It pissed me off, it got me hot & bothered, it shocked me, made me smile & it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Oh, Elizabeth... this woman made me experience the feels the most! She annoyed me a lot in this book. She was b*tchy, cocky, whiny & came across as selfish (when it came to the guys) one too many times. She'd screw certain guys (multiple times) then wonder why others seemed a little distant. (Doesn't she know the walls are paper thin?!!) Gods, I swear f*cking was her answer for everything.
On the flip side... I totally felt for her when she first learned of what Avery did. I don't blame her for putting him off for a while but did feel like she was tease to him after some time had passed. And when Ember did those things to her, I wanted to reach inside my kindle & give Elizabeth a big fat bear hug. Thank the gods that Gerard was there to give that wench what she deserved!
There was plenty more lovin' too. (And a variety of it!) Christian FINALLY got his one-on-one time in... Woot-woot! Very pleased to see the steam factor ramped up but can't wait for EVERYONE to get a taste of pleasure.
Looking forward to the next book in the series, Elizabeth and the Thunder of Dragons. It's about damn time she returns home to exact her revenge on Garrett & the traitors! And what's gonna happen with the whole James thing?!
Side Note: So done with Sophia. Please kill her or banish her already. I don't need that b*tch making appearances in each book!
3.5-4 stars from me on book 5 of Ava Mason's PNR RH series.
So I agree with some of the other reviews that sometimes there can be too much sex in books haha. I haven't come across it a lot but sometimes it does happen and I think the amount of scenes in this book, since its on the shorter side (6 hours for an audiobook), made it more prevalent than say this was 8 hours long where it would be more spread out. I did like some of the moments, we got to see more walls breaking down. Love Christian's 1-1 time, even though he doesnt think he can do the sharing thing. I am thinking they maybe can handle the harem situation but it is going to be an uphill battle for some of them that are too possessive or have too much guilt to move on from something in the past. I felt for Avery but wanted to shake him just as much haha. In terms of the plot, I felt for Elizabeth and didnt see the baddie/betrayal coming. I am happy with how things turned out and again, more time with the Queen and some of the other characters was nice.
Narration was great during the kidnapping/torture scenes, made me want to hug Elizabeth even more than I already did. I thought the relationships she was building and the emotions behind it were well done, but I thought the tension and strife with Avery could have been done a little better (only real critique for the narration though).
Oh this book had me on an emotional Rollar coaster from the start! I was hoping for, and found, so many answers to questions that I've had! The heat in this book between Elizabeth and her men? Sooo steamy! Their bonds strengthened and badly needed conversations and connections were made! The over all mystery, and all her close calls with death? Mostly answered, but, the series isn't over yet, so some mystery still remains. The group was on the run throughout the book, trying to complete missions from the queen and stay alive. So much action was packed into these pages, I'm breathless! The author had me laughing in parts, and heartbroken, and in tears, in the next. I admire Elizabeth so much, how she has grown, and her depth and strength of character. She needed it, she is put through many ups and some deep lows in this book. Ultimately, there is a beautiful light we see at the end of the tunnel, but they still have so far to go! And Avery? Oh man, I was ready to kick his ass! Ultimately, the love these characters feel for each other comes through, sometimes painfully, but so raw and undeniable! I love them all, and I am anxious to delve once more into their story! Love, love, love!
DAAANG! This was a story that had you happy, sad, mad, absolutely furious, and then happy again (and a few others along the way). It was emotionally taxing, but not in the bad way; it just sunk it's claws into you and wouldn't let you go. I love the snarky banter between Elizabeth and her "boys". But Avery-WOW!! That was one revelation I didn't see coming. But hopefully he will get his excrement together for her. Soon! Man Ava, I'm not sure what deep, dark hole you got these plot twists from, but it was so entertaining I didn't want the story to come to an end. Maybe in the future you need to put a warning on this book about possible heart failure from having the very ground ripped out from under your feet. Anyway, buy the book. Read the book. You'll be glad you did, but you'll be more glad if you start from book one if you haven't already. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book, and I borrowed it through the Kindle Unlimited program too.
I did not like this book as much as the others. Perhaps because it’s been a few months since I read them but Elizabeth seemed a bit selfish to me when it came to the guys. In a RH feelings should be equal and everyone treated equal. Elizabeth’s comments to some of the guys in reference to her with another guy like asking if they were jealous, even though she means it teasingly I don’t believe this is how they should be spoken to. It like putting the jealousy seed in place. And then sleep with one guy over a certain time. Last book was Easton. This book was Christian. There’s never anyone else. She’s not splitting her time. And Avery!!! I get he messed up but through the man a bone. If you refuse to sleep with him, and I understand why, it seems like picking favorites because she’s still sleeping with everyone else!!! That being said, feelings don’t feel equal. It doesn’t feel like Elizabeth care for everyone the same. Not good for a RH.
I've been plowing forward in this series. There is enough storyline here to keep me coming back. I need Elizabeth to seek revenge for her parents and former pack. I also need closure on her first love because I sometimes wonder if his love for her was as true as her love for him. Though she has her guys and I don't need for her to add a wolf into her mix of men. As for her men they are dreamy and discovering their stories/secrets has held my interest. What I struggle with: the queen(not sure she's genuine) her powers (seems weak that it comes from artifacts), Avery's betrayal and mystery in this book just didn't sync from his character in previous books (didn't mesh) and finally, James. A fun twist? Yes I'd agree. However he doesn't fit with the guys and all of a sudden we have to deal with him when we are still attempting to close the gap on a flighty Avery. Not sure what to make of all this but I'm going to read on and figure it out.
Elizabeth Guardian of Dragons ::A Paranormal Romaance (Fated Alpha Bookk%5)
This agaoi start off well but yet again the author seems to concentrate on the sex between Elizabeth and her four Male lovers making them explicit plus taking away what should be a very brilliant story Tkjs gets monotonous after a while , Dont mind a couple but half the book was about sex than the story it's almost as if the author wants to write about it than concentrating on the story as all that's happening is her having sex with 4 men (pack) Amy Mason writing this series started brilliant but for me she has lost the plot somewhat I'm sorry to say.If this feels unfair I can only reply by saying that yes the sex scenes were well written but I thought this was a Paranormal Romance series not a sex story ,This also gives the impression that children can read this series and no I'm an adult and don't mind reading sex scenes at all. Recommend 16years upward
I’m sorry but I’m not going to give any spoilers of any kind because I’m not the type that does that! But I will say this book is absolutely awesome!! Ava Mason has a fantastic talent of being able to create awesome realistic realities and great characters that get you hooked before you even finish the first chapters! Which is probably why I’m such a big fan of her work. So if you haven’t read any of her books, well then what are you waiting for? Get every book in this series and start reading because you have no clue what you are missing! So if you couldn’t tell that was a big HECK YEAH I’m recommending this book and all the other books in the series to anyone who’s looking for a fantastic story to get lost in.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for my honest opinion.
I don’t even know what to say. This book left me breathless with strong emotions and even more complex characters. In the last book we knew something happened to Avery, in this book we find out and, I’ll warn you, it nearly tore my heart out and it was so heart wrenching a few of my own tears fell. I wanted to take my kindle and toss it I felt so bad, but I will tell you it gets better, Avery-wise. The mission for the queen? The mystery deepened and then exploded into a type of storm so unexpected for a moment I had to stop reading just to digest what I saw. Granted it was only a few seconds that felt like hours I quickly devoured the rest of the book because it was so gripping. The whole story was gripping, and fascinating. Trust me, you won’t be able to put it down.
I’ve been on edge waiting for book 5 and yay here it is. I’m not going to write any spoilers sorry guys but if you have been following these stories from book 1 and you loved them then just know that this book 5 is so much better but then Ava Mason is a very talented author. There’s plenty of action, adventure, mysteries, twists and turns and some very hot scenes to keep you turning the pages. This is an unputdownable book and trust me you won’t be able to!. Another absolutely fantastic instalment with Elizabeth and her sexy dragons, lucky lucky girl and those dragons are swoon worthy. Congrats Ava on another hit keep up the good work girl. I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read, the only problem I have is that I couldn’t give it more than 5 ⭐️ because this story certainly deserves it.
I loved this new book and can’t wait for more. It feels like this series is coming to a wrap and I hope it’ll be epic. I do have to you warn you though like in most of her books, there is a ton of heart break, especially towards the end i was crying with the main character. Although the clog hanger was sucky at best lol I hope the author will put more light on the royal family and their connection with MC while revealing the prophecy. Now that o think about she probably has a few more books left. Anyway I hope you enjoy and continue loving this journey as much as I do.
Elizabeth continues to grow up, as a person and an Alpha
I've been working through this series on Kindle Unlimited, and what I'm enjoying the most about the character Elizabeth is the coming of age aspects. This series captures a young woman at that "College" phase of life, finding her footing in so many respects. An added later is her recognition that while she can't be all things to all people, to get guys, who she now leads, she can be what they need most, and don't have. She is finding her place in the world, gaining confidence as she goes, and each installment e d's with her seeming better prepared to return home to get pack, and reclaim her birthright.
This is a great read, each book in the series is funny, dramatic, sad, powerful...All at the same time. Though the content is erotic - those of you who may be squeamish about their sexuality may want to check out another book by Ms. Mason - it's also a very well written flip on the on so classic - only men are allowed more than 1 partners, while a man is a stud, patted on the back by all of their friends and any one acquainted with them. It's a flip I could go for, just like a lot of other women could. I also believe that this series is very well written, so much so that I must see if the next book is ready, because I am!
Elizabeth is overwhelmed with her dragons, the Queen, and assassins. The mystery of who behind it is solved, but there was rarely any time with the villain for me to have even thought that they were bad. I like to have a chance of guessing the villain, so that was a bummer. All the guys want a piece of Elizabeth and she is feeling the strain. On top of that she must take over her clan from Sophia and deal with James. So much to take care. Doesn't seem possible that she can take care of all of that. I did like how the Queen is humanized though.
Book five in this series and it is terribly exciting, now the alpha it seems that everyone is still out to get Lizzy and her boys are keeping secrets, what Lizzy finds out could tear their clan apart and she still has more Edison’s to complete. Homesick and stressed Lizzy is surviving moment to moment
Packed full of excitement and drama with some Romance and steam, this is a fantastic series which I am loving and my only disappointment is that I have finished the book and eagerly awaiting the next one!
This is the fifth book in the RH Fated Alpha series and picks up right where book four left off. This book has everything: action, suspense, mystery, romance, humor and even shock. It is so hard to speak on things from this book without doing spoilers and I do not post spoilers. I am so glad that there is another book coming, even though this one answered plenty of questions it left so many more left unanswered. I can not wait to see what is in store for Lizzy and the boys in the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The action keeps the plot moving forward nicely, and the romance keeps you invested in the characters on an emotional level. I'm so glad that this book finally explains part of the mystery that is Avery. I feel like I understand him a little bit better. But as one mystery is explained, another takes its place. There are so many twists and turns within the plot that I was not able to put it down, and I cannot wait to find out what is next in store for Elizabeth. I received this as an ARC.
The fifth book in this series starts off right at the ending of book four. This book is stuffed full of action and we finally start to get some answers to questions from previous books, but still left with more questions for the next book! This book captivates the readers attention from the very beginning and I am excited to see where the next book will take us. I don’t know if I am going to enjoy James joining the team and having him connected to Elizabeth, especially since him and Hunter have a troubled past! This series is very exciting and I can’t wait to see what happens next! Highly recommended RH series by a fantastic author with great character development and an intriguing world! Bri g in book six!!
I F'LOVE this series! By that, I mean 'everything' about it. From the intelligent, scrappy and sexy heroine, Elizabeth, to each of the gifted, loving, alpha dragons who love her and make up her clan. I even love "hating" the bad guys cuz' we all know if they aren't bad, the book isn't good. The storyline is well thought out, the characters are flawed and always questioning themselves and their relationships, which makes the story relatable. I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy reverse harem and romance.
I received an ARC copy of this book. Read it all in one sitting and really liked it. This series keeps getting better with each book. Several questions are answered. Who shot Lizzy is revealed and so is the traitor. The steam levels rise between Lizzy and her Dragons and they are all finally on the same page by the end of the book. There is a cliffhanger at the end, but it wasn't too bad, it leaves off in a pretty ok place. Can't wait for the next book.
It has taken so much to get here, and this series continues to delight and surprise. It's beautiful to see how Elizabeth and her guys come together, and I have to highly recommend this book, but also this series. The twists are incredible, even after we start to think we know what will come next. Amazing author, spot-on characters. I'll definitely be re-reading these. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Guardian of Dragons is book 5 in this series. It picks up pretty close to where book four left off. This was a pretty action packed book with humor, suspense and some heart stopping moments. I feel like this is the book where I fell in love with the characters. They seem more real to me and seem to be coming together as more of a unit. Alot of questions from previous books are also answered in this book. I love how this story is evolving. I'm so excited for the book! received an advanced copy
